Hello,

There are clearly problems on your site. The first would be the page speed that is very very slow. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. This should fix most of your issues.
Next, please regenerate thumbs using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
As for the articles with no images, there is a placeholder for the case where the post has no featured image. Please add featured images to your posts using the default theme featured image implementation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/

Thank you!

Hello,

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hello Syams,

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. We do not make any changes in theme panel the Article Inline Ads should have this options there. If the problem is still there, please try to re-install the theme via FTP, clear all your caches and check again the results. For more information about this way, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/

Hello geospatialmedia,

I have inspected your website and saw that you have some issues to your console and also, I have noticed that you are using some untested plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Make sure that all of these steps were made via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. For more information about this method, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Also, first of all, please try to re-save your permalinks from your General Settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/2u09wN9LMmUi

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

A crazy number of problems since I updated the theme – !

I updated the theme. Initially via WP, encountering problems. Then using the Envato tool, and not managing to get anywhere. Eventually via FTP.
Took me a while to wipe everything properly, but I managed to re-install the theme.
I found all my settings basically intact.
Except – the homepage is completely broken. Pages and posts are broken, too, even if less messy (apparently)
Tried activate/deactivate, clearing caches.
I uninstalled the Visual Composer that came with the theme the day I purchased it (Oct 11th).
I then installed the Visual Composer that I find in the folder I can download from Envato today.

When VC is installed, but not active, the site displays almost correctly – meaning that the layout looks more like it, even if rows and columns are misplaced
>>> check thegoodmood.it – you can actually read bits of code here and there

When VC is installed, and active, the whole site is a mess – homepage, pages, posts, pictures, sliders – everything !

Right now, it is installed but not activated.

I have been trying a number of variations of install/uninstall – activate/deactivate – keep cache/clear cache – the theme just won’t work properly as it used to do before the update.

Please get back with a solution!
Thanks

Flavia

Hello bgo,

I have inspected your website, and I saw that you are using the module 1 to display the posts on the category page. So, I check your featured image, and I notice that the size of it is not right. Your natural image size is 108*300 px and the size of the thumb for module 1 is 324*160 px. Please keep in mind that you should have minimum 324px for image width if you want to bring best results. Notice that the theme thumbs only crop the image and not enlarge it. The image thumb crop from center to top the image and that’s why you have only the top of your image displayed in the thumb…the image is too short. Also, I have made a test with your featured image to my side, using the module 1 and the result is here -> http://screencast.com/t/nNRoZSTFChD and your result in here -> http://screencast.com/t/uxqeIqgKNS Your image it seems to be zoomed in and our theme does not do this. I think that you are using some plugin which enlarges the image. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, please use some properly images according to our thumb sizes. For more information, consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I’m not sure where the redirect comes from as it does not come from the theme. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again to see if the redirect happens again without plugins.

Thank you!

Hello,

If your desktop version loads the mobile version, that is a caching issue. Please make sure you do not have any cache from the host and only use this plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If you use a cdn please use these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hello mato,

Until now, we do not have any bad reports regarding on Visual Composer and Big Grids. Please keep in mind that the Visual Composer is fully tested and compatible with our Blocks/Modules. So, this issue happens due to your child theme. Also, I am glad that you could manage your problem. Also, if the problem is still there, you should try to switch to the main theme, clear all your caches, purge CDN files and check the results. And if it required, you should provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer if the problem is still there.

Thanks for the message!

Hello portuga,

Unfortunately, this type of plugin is not tested with our theme and it could be possible to create this issue. So, please try to disable it, clear all your caches and check the results. Please notice that we cannot provide support for untested plugins, sorry!

Hello aefalson,

I have checked your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins, as you ca see here -> http://screencast.com/t/VA0MK4KSAeOg Also, you have some errors in your console, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/T5GQoqybck Please try to disable all the plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. It is possible that your untested plugins to interact with the core theme and cause a lot of unknown issues. Try to revert the theme to the final state and check the results. Also, if the problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch and install only the required plugins and check the results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello troypener,

First of all, please ensure that you have respected our list of requirements for our product, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Also, try to update the theme to the latest version of it and also, all the required plugins which come bundled with the theme, clear all your caches and test it again. Basically, the latest Fatal error is happening due to the old version of Visual Composer. Try to update it and check the results.
Please try to clear this and re-install the latest version of the theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. For more information about this, consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hi,

We answer from oldest to newest so the support is not a live chat unfortunately. We try to answer every question as fast as possible but it sometimes can take a few hours. The support hours are at the top right of this screen. Mind the time zone though. There is a high chance we do not share the same work hours.
To the matter at hand, your issue could be caused by plugin conflicts as this seems to be a js error. Plugins are the number one cause for these but it could also be a js minification or optimization. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hello ojuju,

Please keep in mind that the footer and the header are the same for the entire website and should appear. So, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello,

There could be something wrong with the post in particular. The html seems to be there but nothing comes up inside the container. Please try to edit your post and see if there is any open html tag in text mode.
This could also be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hello silvanocv,

Please ensure that you have properly installed the theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Try to clear all your old theme version and re-install it using this method, clear all the caches and check the results. Before doing this, you should make a full backup to your data to be safe. For more information about FTP , consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hello awesome people,

Approx. 15 days before, we have shifted to more powerful Digital Ocean Server ( Via Cloudways) and have experienced two times more traffic than before due to increased website speed and performance.

However, for last one week or so, I am noticed weird homepage loading on Mobile devices. It first appears broken and then completely loads after the considerably higher amount of time.

Here is how it looks initially: https://i.imgur.com/vBuQN7f.jpg

As you can see, the problem appears to be with mobile style.css and font loading. I use speed booster plugin and wp super cache, nothing else for speed. I have tried removing – the footer moving script code from speed booster which loads fonts and CSS in the footer. But it didn’t help.

After fully loading in 5-6 seconds, it appears fully like this- https://i.imgur.com/vF5lHUe.jpg

I do want to remind you that I also use “TD Mobile theme” plugin but it doesn’t work on the homepage ( it still shows the mobile version of desktop theme even on mobile devices, but only on the homepage), other pages, posts displays mobile theme plugin version.

I have also sent you the login credentials to help you look at the matter.

Thank you very much.

More information:
I also tried uploading 7.5 to my theme folder via the cPanel and, once activated, it still broke both my website and my WP dashboard.

Is there a way for me to just manually upload the changed files from 7.3 to 7.5?

I know there were quite a few modified files and new files, so I’m not sure how feasible this is.

I’m using WP Rocket Cache plugin with Stackpath CDN. Would these play a role in this problem?
I’m also using the Newspaper child theme but wondering if there were any changes in this from 7.3 to 7.4?

I also tried uploading the theme to a different website and it also broke the site and the WP dashboard (i.e., just a white screen with no way to access anything).

Thanks in advance.
