Yep. Same here. wp-super-cache serves up the desktop theme to mobile users unles they are looged in, in which case it’s bypass know users option kick in. The inability to use widgets or shortcode embeds was the final show stopper for me as I use Social Login which requires those features. Short story – mobile theme won’t allow users to login with Facebook, Twitter etc.

Ok than ks. I deactivated almost every plugin and took out my google analytics code and it’s still an issue from my end. Cleared cache for both phone and laptop. Menu works fine on my laptop, just the mobile version isnt showing it.
Hi,
I’m not sure if this is an issue that happens with anyone else, but whenever I use a cache (whether it’s server-side caching or via the WP Super Cache WordPress plugin) the mobile theme works intermittently, meaning that sometimes it loads and sometimes it doesn’t, and when it doesn’t, it falls back on the “responsive” theme. If I turn the cache off, the mobile theme loads fine on every single pageload with no issues.
At the current moment I have the cache turned off (which is why if you go to our site you will see the mobile version instead of the responsive version) however this is not ideal, as we are currently experiencing a massive traffic spike and it’s slowing the server down.
There’s a VERY specific reason why I do not want to use the responsive theme on mobile. It has a lot to do with this: http://petapixel.com/2016/02/07/readers-reporting-auto-redirecting-ads-on-mobile/. Even though they’re hidden visually, the codes for our desktop ads still load on mobile devices, which causes the redirect issue.
Is there something within the Mobile theme or plugin that can be “switched off” so that it doesn’t cause the mobile theme hiccups when a caching system is in use?

Some common issues are
a) lazy load animation turned on; turn it off
b) external optimization of images breaking file type (e.g., Photon, Smush-It)
c) server update; need to reset your caching
d) expiration of CDN based on bucket expiration; need to reset
e) browser cache corrupted; clear history in your web browser
f) WordPress transients issue;
— 1) resave permalinks (get in habit doing this after any plugin/theme updates!)
— 2) optimize db tables with wp-optimize plugins.
g) And probably should check first: conflicting plugin or ad banner from AdSense/etc. breaking images; use console view in web browser (F12) to check for page error breaking page load.
h) less common, but images being loaded via http, page loading via https; no redirect for http >> https and/or domain mis-match from CDN/cache.
i) mod_pagespeed rewriting images, but breaking on serving the files due to server or domain setup error.
Good luck!
(( I don’t work here … just the resident smarty-pants ! ))
Same here. Images used by the theme are not showing. All manually coded images (in the posts) are showing, all Woocommerce images are showing…but those served by theme on homepage, sidebar blocks, etc (using VC) are not showing.
Version 7.1.1 (tried w and w/o Speed Booster)
What are some common reasons images would not display on a desktop? They are fine on mobile- or they may be cached.
Hello,
We have only one other report of this issue with our theme and that is way back in 2014. It could simply be a plugin conflict so please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again and see if you still get the error.
If you say the error is still present on a wp default theme, then maybe one of these solutions could do the trick:
http://www.agentwp.com/fix-cheatin-uh-error-in-wordpress
I would try to get it fixed on the wp default theme first before applying the theme.
Let us know how it goes
Thanks
Hi,
Well we cannot see the site as you have a coming soon page. Please first of all make sure you have the latest version of the theme and of the plugins bundled with the theme.
In order to update the theme you can follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
As for the plugins the same method as updating visual composer applies: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
(Visual composer, revolutions slider, social counter and mobile theme)
If the issue is still there when using the latest updates, then please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test your site again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi
Please note that our working hours are from 8:00 AM – 17:00 PM.
The theme is tested and mobile menu works fine. If you still have this issue try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if you still can’t manage to solve this issue provide your site url so we can have a closer look.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve tested the solution and it works fine on my end. Try to clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test the site again.
Let me know how it goes and if you still can’t manage to solve this please address us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we can have a closer look.
Thanks!
Hello, If you have followed everything mentioned in the URL http://www.getcooltricks.com/wordpress/google-cse-integration-to-newspaper-wordpress-theme/ correctly, you will see the search box as expected. Please read the entire tutorial before proceeding. Clear the cache once done. Please leave a comment in the blog if you need more help.
Hi,
1: I’m having a performance problem with my website/template. My site is actually without any cache system, because it doesn’t increase the performance. Yeah, it’s very strange. I’ve tested the site with/without ads (Google Ads) and with/without WP Super Cache ( I used the same settings that you raccommend in your guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ ).
These are the results of the tests with GTmetrix:
– WP Super Cache Disabled: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/gamesquare.it/68XvbBvI
– WP Super Cache Enabled: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/gamesquare.it/4w0X9Lh4
I’ve also tested the website with Google PageSpeed Load, it gave a vote of 72(min)-78(max) in Mobile View and 82(min)-85(max) in PC view.
The caching system gives one more problem to me, it doesn’t work properly with the Mobile Theme plugin and sometimes the cache shows the normal responsive theme instead of the mobile version. That’s why i’m not using it right now.
2: Sometimes when you open my website with Google Chrome (this isn’t a problem of my browser, because this is also happened to all my friends and only using Chrome) you will see this: https://i.gyazo.com/ac00cc46f780f576aca546ab8210f266.jpg
It seems to be caused by a “fail to load” of every CSS/JS files of the template (original and custom).
I don’t know if this is a problem located only on my website or of the template. Have you any idea?
Thank you in advance
WP Super Cache has been purged. Browser cache and cookies has been emptied. CDN “files” I have NO idea what is and google didn’t offer any enlightenment on the issue.
Here is a link to a post that has the “problem”: http://24uutiset.fi/2016/09/13/kayta-antibiootteja-varovaisesti-ja-oikein/
The header is still blue and it should be black.
I don’t think the issue has been resolved in the update?
Hello kamoe,
Please ensure that you have right installed the theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. First of all, please remove the old version of the theme and then install it according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ If you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Until now we have not encountered with this case, regarding on Wp Super Cache.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hello Adam,
I have checked your website and I saw that everything seems to work as properly. Please try to clear all your caches, server caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check it again the theme.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hello 24Uutiset,
Please ensure that you have cleared all your caches, browser caches and cookies, purge the CDN files and then check the results.
Thanks for the message and let us know how it goes!
Hi
I am not sure why this happens but it could be a conflict between wordpress and some plugin. Try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
I have updated to the latest theme and updated all the plugins.
Now I have a problem with tagDiv Mobile Theme, it’s creating “wp booster errror”
td_api_base:: mark_used_on_page: a component with the ID: td_remote_cache is not set.
Site has “WP Super Cache” installed.. if I disable the mobile theme all works fine.
What might be wrong?
Hi
WP Super cache is not fully compatible with WordPress 4.6 and that’s why this problem occur. We hope that plugin’s developer will fix this issue in shortest time.
We have reported this issue to on ghithub and we are waiting for an update from them. Until that, you can try this temporary fix, it should work fine -> https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/issues/132
Unfortunate we can’t make other recommendation for cache as WP Super Cache is the only tested plugin at the moment.
Thanks!
HI
I’ve checked your site and the ad is properly displayed on header: http://screencast.com/t/2yx1ht5oPC and also above footer: http://screencast.com/t/NGcUViMv If you still have this issue try to clear browser’s cache memory then test the site again, also make sure that you don’t have any ad-block extension enabled on the browser.
Thanks!
Hello kaifanun,
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of it (Social Counter 4.1) with the latest version of the
theme -> Newspaper 7.4. Also, make sure that your Facebook ID and App Id is right generated in order to grab best results with this counter. Clear all your caches, purge CDN files and test it again and check the results. If your problem is still there after this, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer. Also, please provide the link of this topic so we can easily identify you.
Thanks.
Hi
I am not really sure what you mean bu I assume that you have a delay in applying the changes made in theme panel.
This issues are usually caused by cache so after you make any changes try to clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if this is not what you mean please provide more specific details abut your issue also provide your site url.
Thanks!
Hello Glance,
Please try to update the theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.4). Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. I have checked your console and you have an error which might appear from these. Clear all your caches, purge CDN files and test it again.
Thanks for your message and let us know how it goes!
Hi,
This issue is mostly caused by plugin conflicts. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test the button again. Let us know how it goes. Also if you have any custom code in the theme panel or the child theme, make sure you remove that also. (make a back-up before)
Thank you!
Hello,
You have errors in your browser console regarding the theme JS: http://screencast.com/t/y2oCRwBL7
These are usually caused by plugin conflicts.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test the slider again.
Let us know how it goes
Thank you!
Hello Kingbreak,
I have inspected your setup page and I saw that you CSS is not right loaded. As you can see from this screenshot here -> http://screencast.com/t/EzDCrPSh3l you are using the latest version of the theme (7.4) but the CSS is loaded from 7.1.1 version. This happens due your server cache. Please try to clear all of it and if you do not have any access in this regard, please request this at your hosting provider to clear all the cache from the server and then, try again and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
