Hello sainthilaire,
I have checked your website and I did not saw any problem with your mobile theme. Everything seems to work as expected. To rule out any conflicting plugins, please try to disable all the untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and found some errors in browser’s console: http://screencast.com/t/UiJdxD4ak3Jm
Try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again. If the problem persist try to update the theme at V 3.1 which is available on themeforest and also update Visual Composer at V 4.12, this version is included in theme’s patch.
Let us know ho it goes.
Thanks!
Hi
We tested the theme with WordPress v4.6 and works fine, also we didn’t encountered any issues with Visual Composer. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know if you need further assistance on this.
Thanks!
Hello frenzygh,
Thumbs up for your project! I am glad that you begin to understand how you can create your website using our theme. So, please notice that our theme uses some thumbs for displaying the featured images for each post and if your image is too short than that thumb, will appear those gray margins -> http://screencast.com/t/aWWq9JTS As you can see in next example, you are using and image which is less than size of thumb, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/mPUNYhypAvV
Please notice that our system is based on cropping and not for resizing of images. Our cropping system to the center to top. Please notice that the cropping system of our theme is the same for all featured image and this will crop the image from the center to top. Please notice that you cannot change very easy this system and if you want this, please notice that is not a simple task and involve custom work. If you want to better understand this process, please check this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/resize-thumbnails-to-proper-size/
If you need more assistance in this regard please provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer. Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN file if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
I have installed Newspaper theme very recently on my website tomatoheart.com and hence I have all the updated version of all themes and plugins. My Mobile plugin is active and I can see it’s settings under “Plugin settings”- “Mobile Theme”
I do have made some changes here like Search button colors or menu background colors but when I visit it on mobile – I only see the mobile responsive version of the desktop version, not the mobile plugin version.
A few days back, I did notice the mobile plugin versions ( with three featured and then latest articles) but it never remains permanent and now I can’t even see it.
Are there any things which I should enable or disable after installing and activating “Mobile Plugin” ? Since I am editing/modifying various things, hence I have disabled super cache and CloudFlare integration options, hence there should be no issues because of cache or cookies.
Also, please tell me what is the right way to use default default mobile responsive version of this theme rather than using mobile plugin version? Should I deactivate the plugin ? How much speed difference is there between mobile plugin version and mobile responsive version? If it’s very little or negligible , I would love to use the mobile responsive version with all visual composer elements.
3. Is there any way to design two different homepage design using Visual composer , one for mobile and other for desktop as we have options to do the same with other pages like Contact pages, about us page etc ( Mobile editor and desktop editor) ?
4. If the mobile plugin is disabled, still I have re-write – pages like ( about us, contact us etc) in mobile editor section of pages or it’s valid only in case , I have enabled mobile plugin?
Please help me to understand and correctly setup the mobile theme for my website. Thank you.
HI
It could be a cache issue so try to clear all cachets, purge cdn if you’re using then test the site again. Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist please provide your site url so I can have a closer look and get back to you with a more accurate answer.
Thanks!
You only need to put td_post_video, in the custom settings. Maybe you have to flush the cache of your site or something like that. 🙂
Take in mind that this solution is just for the Yoast Video SEO plugin to recognize the video when you use featured video instead of featured image, nothing else.
I cannot get the main menu to show up on my site. I have flushed the cache, deleted and rebuilt the menu about seven times now and nothing works!
If I build the menu and assign it to the top bar it shows up just fine, but does NOT show up on the main menu. I have played around with colors, everything–if I change the font color is shows up on the search icon, but the menu items never appear. I have flushed the cache many times as well. All my other changes show up instantly so I don’t think this is a cache issue.
I’m at my wit’s end really.
thanks
FYI
benefit of WP super Cache is that its built/managed by same team who build WordPress, so it’s generally the “most compatible” and works best with themes plugins optimized for latest version of WP and normal use-cases of WP installs and WP 4.6x compatible plugins.
Various other caching plugins work, too, but you need to experiment as to which settings (avoid minification settings and similar!) work for your particular server setup, plugins, hosting account, storage space, etc.
So you don’t have to use WP Super Cache — it’s your website — but you should consider using similar settings in your cache plugin as those recommended for WPSC.
Hello,
The duplication of featured images usually occurs when adding the image in the featured image section and on the post itself thus resulting in 2 images being displayed. Please make sure you do not ad the featured image inside the post content. Only add it here: http://screencast.com/t/fl8HNEo5
If this is not the case, we did have reports in the past with featured image duplication caused by plugins. Sometimes plugins add their own featured image like photon for example. In your case I can see in the code a WPDM template which contains the image. It could be a plugin causing this so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check the posts again.
Thank you!
Hi
I’ve checked you site and noticed that you have a very strong cache. Try to clear all caches then test the site again. If you’re using WP Super Cache as cache plugin note that is not fully compatible with WordPress 4.6. For more details in this regard please check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-does-not-work-properly/
Thanks!
Hello PatWire,
Please try to re-save your Permalinks, clear all your caches and test it again. Also, if you are using some untested plugins in the theme, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
Try to update Visual Composer plugin at V 3.1 which is included in theme’s patch: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ clear all caches then test the site again.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello Alex,
There is no problem with the theme and the only way that could have caused this error is your cache.
Thanks for your understanding!

Guys, under the preload tab within WP Supercache there is no option to select “preload all post” as in this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
How do you get that option?? because it seems like the plugin isn’t caching without it. I checked one of my other sites and there too the cache contents are empty…and no option to select “preload all posts”
I have installed Wp Super cache after your specific recommendation. But I’m not satisfied. W3 total cache is 1000s time better all-in-one plugin than Wp super cache. In comparison to W3 total cache.. Wp super cache plugin does nothing.
Thank you for your response Catalin,
Indeed, we have previously done everything you have outlined, including both cache clear in IE and WP Super Cache.
In dashboard WP Super Cache reports to be working properly. We are not using the CDN. We use the latest version of IE.
W3 validator reports several style issues, it is though noted throughout the forum – to be a typical issue, that TagDiv put on to do list to figure out.
Is there anything else that might be causing this ?
Thank you.
Hi
The theme has been developed to be fast but it may still need configurations on this matters so test your site using google’s page speed insights testing tool(or gtmetrix) and make sure you follow the guide instructions and methods then test your site again.
I’ve tested your site using google page speed and noticed that your server response time is very slow. According to google report it takes more then 5 seconds until the server deliver the requested data: http://screencast.com/t/taHVTK3OB Make sure that the server meets theme’s requirements: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/ and also check if the parameters from system status have the values indicated here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also try deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test your site page-speed again. In terms of speed we have made a page speed guide and covered the most important aspects that google notifies you of (image optimization, js/css render blocking and more..) and based on which it classifies and grades your site regarding speed. You can find it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
If you decide to use the speed booster keep in mind that is an optional plugin and it was designed to work only with tested plugins – http://screencast.com/t/FXXDNtqfz in case you use other plugins it will be automatically disabled, so please check System Status – http://screencast.com/t/9SmVSXqe To make it work with other plugins you will have to alter the code and remove/comment this – http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh Also you may find some useful information here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/website-memory-problem/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-and-akismet/
Thanks!
Hello Alex,
I have checked your mega menu and I noticed that feature works as properly, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/KznmLWtU529P I guess that probably you have a caching issue on your side and that’s why you will get a bad layout. Please try to clear all your caches and browser caches, purge CDN file is you are using the CDN system and test it again.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello 4Musky,
Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, if your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it. Provide the link of this topic so we can easily identify you.
Thanks.
Hello Balleto,
As I can see in your source page, you are using a RAW HTML from Visual Composer with a custom code added by you. So, please try to disable all your plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out a conflicting plugin. I have checked your console and I noticed that you have some js errors which might be created by these untested plugins which you are using on our theme and which can interact with it and cause a lot of unknown issues.
Hope this helps!
Thaks for your understanding!
Hi
For each change made in theme’s colors or fonts, the theme generate a custom css. That delay appears because the custom css generated by the theme is loaded after main css form style.css file. A solution would be to add all custom css, which can be found in page source, directly in style.css. Currently you have this custom css for your site: http://pastebin.com/F2DAHtgV so try to paste it in style.css: http://screencast.com/t/eVESLB9qL clear all caches then test the site again.
Thanks!
Well, we have dedicated server with dual Xeon E5-2640v3 processors and 32GB of RAM. So, I have enough horsepower to throw at anything pretty much (except that one version/batch/trunk of Visual Composer that killed the box last year! which led to Radu’s “shim” plugin workaround). So, not best person to ask beyond saying “we have never had a problem with it” — but then, I never had issue with wp-postviews either, sooo…. unless you’re trying to do something funky with a CDN, bad ad network with timeout issues, etc. I don’t see a problem.
Oh, I know what one of the ‘hax’ we did was, as I don’t think it originally did/supported ‘async’ mode for stuff; which was one thing we did.
Anyway — works for me, “your mileage may vary.”
(and for you geeky folk; specs on just ONE of the processors on our new server went live Aug 5, sadly as our old server had total RAID failure during migration; http://ark.intel.com/products/83359/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2640-v3-20M-Cache-2_60-GHz ).

The browser will cache it pretty agressively.
Make sure you delete old favicon files in your root folder, then go to your site and refresh browser. Delete browser cache, obviously (history, in chrome).
Upload new favicon.ico and Apple precomposed files to your web root.
Make sure none is specified in the theme panel when you do switcheroo, obviously. Make sure one is NOT in the media folder.
Usually works. Went through this recently myself, actually. Had to reinstall site after server crash, from backups, and the default Plesk icon was stuck there for a bit.
Recently we changed the domain name of our website. The site is still on the same server, the only thing that changed is the primary domain. The domain has been updated in phpAdmin and WordPress. However, there is one problem that I can’t seem to resolve. When I upload a new Favicon and save it the old Favicon still displays in the browser. I have checked it on multiple computers and cleared the cache. Is there something I am missing?
