Hi,

I believe that is the case. We tried to optimize the demo website for good results. There will be overall performance improvements made in the theme in coming updates, to further optimize speed.

For general theme requirements this would be the guide for a proper functionality

There are many optimization guides provided by our users here in the forum, some made by us, you could check some of them

Hello,

First of all, make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, you should remove all of these. Notice that the Smart Lists are more sensible and if these are not correctly set up might appears some errors. If you need more assistance, in this case, provide your website URL so we can take a closer look at it.

Thanks.

I have found the answer for the 2nd problem – hiding image for mobile. There is an option for hide image and I can turn it on individually for mobile, and turn it off for desktop.

However, the Title is flashed with the left margin – I am trying to create some space on the left.

Link to the current position

I want the title to keep some space on the left as shown here:

Thank you very much for your reply. I think I did not import it in the correct method. For some reason when I am trying to import it while using tagdiv composer, it says “installing” and then nothing happens even after waiting a long period of time.
Screenshot: Issue with load template

Hence, I imported the section directly from the dashboard, “Cloud Templates”, and then saved it as an element. For some reason, the “Filter” option was not showing while using it.

In any case, Flex Block 1 is serving me well so far. I still have two questions. I want the “modules” in the block to be the same height. However, it depends on the length of the title (and excerpts). I know I can limit the length, but I don’t want to put dots in the title of the post. To explain my point please see the following screenshot. Here, I want all the category title, dates to be in the same position (as marked with the black line and 1a and 1b). Similarly, the heights of the top row and bottom row should be equal (figure marked 2a and 2b). This is low priority though, more important is to have all the category tags to be in the same position.

Screenshot: Issue with post height

Finally, I do not want to show images when reading from a phone. I can change many other things that are different in desktop and phone mode, for example in the following screenshots, the square shaped boxes are different for desktop and phone mode. However, the choice of image (marked with oval shaped box) is not changing.

Is there a way to show the post image in desktop and tablet mode, and skip it in the phone mode?

Thanks in advance!

Hi! I already found the reason – CDN cache on OVH server. I needed to delete all cache on OVH server.
Thanks for quick help!

Any page that we try to edit with tagdiv composer gives us a 520 error. We just cant access the composer.

Everything in the system status panel is green.

When we try to access the tagdiv composer from here (pic attached: https://prnt.sc/llfokc) – it gives a 520 error (since we are now using cloudflare CDN) (pic attached: http://prntscr.com/llfqox)

Astonishingly, we moved the website to hostgator web host and there we were able to access the tagdiv composer with ease, but once we are back to godaddy it is not working.
Very strange for us.

Hello twinpickle,

The smart sidebar has an option for it here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Qc0KsCwAnui Clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.

Thanks.

Finally fixed the problem myself.

The trick was to purge the CDN cache and all the wp-super-cache cache. Sigh.

Thank you for trying to help.

Still not sure why deleting the captcha plugin made it work temporarily, but who cares! It’s finally working.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the quick reply.

OK, so I get both the options you have shown in the screencasts. However, when I click on “Translate +” from “Edit Page” I have no option to translate the content built with the TagDiv composer (see here https://cdn.wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/2890516-Screenshot_2018_11_08_18.13.49.png?x59034).

Both TagDiv and WPML examples say that I should get all the individual fields to translate from this view as shown here: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/create-multilingual-wordpress-websites-using-the-newspaper-theme-and-wpml/

Does this make sense now?

Thanks 🙂

Hi,

When we test our site on google pagespeed insights (https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/), we get good scores for desktop but poor scores for mobile. Yesterday, we deactivated all social plugins and moved our site to CDN. Now for desktop, we score more than 90 but for mobile we are still getting about 50 or 60 for mobile. We are not using the mobile theme, so the same responsive site is being served to both mobile and desktop devices. We have no extra plugins for mobile either.

Considering that the exact same site is being served to both devices, I am unable to diagnose what the problem is and hence unable to take corrective action on the same. Can someone from tagdiv please help me diagnose the problem?

Hi,

I have inspected the website you provided, checked the homepage, category pages, post pages. I see all the thumbnails at the moment
http://prntscr.com/li4fn5
http://prntscr.com/li4gjc
http://prntscr.com/li4gfm
http://prntscr.com/li4grt

Try and clear any caching you might have installed or use, and purge the CDN if you use one.

Thanks

To place amp ads google help states to past this code in the head tag of AMP html. Where exactly in your theme does this go?
<script async custom-element=”amp-auto-ads”
src=”https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-auto-ads-0.1.js”&gt;
</script>

Then it states to place this code in the body of AMP html – where exactly should this go? What page etc. Your AmP panel, or your ad panel or where? And where within a page specifically? Thanks.

<amp-auto-ads type=”adsense”
data-ad-client=”ca-pub-9887638828220083″>
</amp-auto-ads>

Hi,

Seems the test detects that you do not use a CDN, that is not required however. You could use one and make tests. For example
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Using a CDN or a caching plugin may reduce the http requests as well
https://torquemag.io/2018/02/how-to-reduce-http-requests-wordpress/

For expires headers you could check their documentation, maybe try what is suggested
https://gtmetrix.com/add-expires-headers.html

The theme will serve a minified javascript already, for CSS minification you could do it manually for example
https://cssminifier.com/
Or try plugins that can do this automatically (these could create problems in some cases).

Also check with your hosting, maybe they have optimizations services or modules they can activate server side.

Thanks

Hi,

I see them as normal jpg format images, with alt attributes
https://www.screencast.com/t/S8rnYUfWeq
From what I know using an image CDN for example could serve images as base64 if used. Don’t much about this however, or how it works.

Thanks

Hi,

So the website is loading slow? Check in the browser inspector console if there are any errors or resources that are not found (404), also test the website with online tools and see what can be improved.

There are some guides here in the forum regarding speed optimization, you could read them and try what is suggested

Hi,

Maybe the theme did not install properly, please try and reinstall the theme, by FTP if possible
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Then clear all caching and purge CDN if used. If the problem remains try as a quick test to deactivate non-theme plugins, check if this has any effect. Let us know what the results are.

Thanks
