Ok, using Child theme and using the header.php file that i downloaded from
/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper seems ok.
But when i try the single.php file (from the same location), when i just put it in the child theme (in /public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child) without modification, it broke the site and i had to remove it.
What can it be?
Just a last question: when i upload the child theme folder in the themes folder, do i have to activate the child theme like a new theme?

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

2. Newspaper Theme does have Child Theme but also has the possibility to add different codes in Theme Panel.

Also, I’ve forget to say that you can use new templates from tagDiv Cloud Library and you can edit them using tagDiv Composer, you can achieve what you need and you do not need to wary about the updates.

I’m finding I need to make minor changes to things like Home Page Title using CSS {display:none;} to only that one page. I’m thinking what I’ve read so far it’s best not to have a child theme. I’m only using Theme Templates and TagDiv Composer on half of my pages. The other create in Gutenberg. So..
1: How do I turn off the Title on just the home page?
2: Is it best to not use a child theme with Newspaper 9?
3: If so, where is the best place to add HTML and CSS? Or, is there a good place?

Soon after, having created the topic, I searched the entire forum for a solution, found some answers, saying that it was to disable all plugins, clear cache and disable even the child theme. Well, I did it all and nothing was resolved. Below is a print of what is happening to me.

Importantly, only filters by category and multiple categories. Does not work filter by tags and especially the id post, which for me and my client is critical. Please help me.

I usually work with a child theme in case somewhere down the line I want to make any major changes to the templates.
I don’t envisage I will need to on this project though so will just use the main theme. Thanks

What exactly are you using the childtheme for ? There are features in the Newspaper Theme that allow you to implement the code directly into the theme without using child theme or external plugins.

In order to use CPT, you should use a child theme where to set the CPT templates.
Also the taxonomy.php is in wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/taxonomy.php

ok, so it sounds like its not recommended to use a child theme with this particular theme.
I am also adding wpgeodirectory to this installation, do you have experience with this running alongside your theme, and would you still recommend not using a child theme in this case?

Hi, Thank you but is not the problem. Speed Booster in my website is active. The problem is that I can’t find the scripts that tell me page speed. The scripts that print speed boosters are different. I am attaching two screenshots.
