Before the 9.7 update is was possible to use one of the theme single templates for CPTs, in a child theme, and also customize them if needed. But after the latest updates when most of the theme files were moved in the composer plugin, that is not possible anymore. They will use the default post template, these are the files – http://prntscr.com/o474xu – http://prntscr.com/o4752p

Having them displayed with a different post template is not possible with theme settings at the moment. Maybe an option or a new solution will be provided in the future, can’t say for sure. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@Sonjita The functionality is still the same. Excerpts are displayed in modules, in the post page the subtitle will be displayed. So you can use the subtitle field to display a chosen text in the post pages.

The solution from above will require modifications to the post templates, which after the latest updates are located in the tagDiv composer plugin. This means that they can’t be modified in a child theme anymore, only directly. The modifications will be lost after a theme update, the plugins have to be updated as well.

Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css as there are very few files left in the main theme as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.

That will not work anymore. When the composer is active the theme will use a different header, this one – http://prntscr.com/o3ekyo this file can’t be modified in a child theme.

If you want to load a script in the header, you could use the analytics section
– http://prntscr.com/o3elx0
Code entered in the theme panel will be saved in the database, so it is safe to add it there.

Unfortunately we did not tested Disqus plugin and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry! Also, we cannot provide support for untested plugins.
