Hello!
The issue can be from a plugin conflict, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If this problem is not solved after that, then we need to take a look and see what happened there.
Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– cPanel url and credentials
– a link to this topic in order to identify you
Our team will take a look!
Thank you!
HI lwatson1439, I’m glad that you manage to integrate the plugin that you need. Indeed the file that was edited can not be set in a child theme, I’m not quite sure, but to not lost those settings when you update the theme I think that it can be done with some functions that can be set in the child theme or maybe by creating a plugin https://www.wpbeaverbuilder.com/creating-wordpress-plugin-easier-think/ unfortunately, I do not have experience with this (since this is a customization it is handled by custom service).
Thank you!
Hello,
If you want to edit the posts, with tagDiv Composer, please make sure you use a Single Post Template from Cloud Library -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m8-EebnfM0 -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1R3j1QYod0
Also, if you use the WPBakery for pages, we strongly recommend using only one of those plugins with our theme (WP Bakery or tagDiv Cloud Library, but not both).
Also, make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you!
Hello,
This post was created with tagDiv composer or did you use another page builder?

Hello,
So I understand you want to add some more social share options, for this please go to Theme Panel -> Post Settings -> Sharing => https://i.imgur.com/YIC4YXz.png and select the social networks.
Please check the console when you try to save the changes made with tagDiv Composer maybe is possible to be from the firewall or security module which blocks the admin-ajax.php request, which usually displays a 403 or 404 error.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module that blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/, you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!

Hi, I’m using the Newspaper Child theme and have just started using the Art Blog Prebuilt Design. A developer has informed me that all my post title tags are H2 and they should be H1. I’ve checked this out and he is correct. The question is how can I easily change all my post title tags to H1?
Hi all,
I’m looking for ideas on listing back catalogue of magazine issues. We are using the newspaper theme. Our development site is not live.
We’ve imported our back catalogue of article posts into our wordpress database, in over 1000 issues, into Newspaper. (29,000 articles). They are tagged “issue xxxx” (from 140 to 1141). They display wonderfully.
Going forward, future issues are no problem at all. We’ll create a nice looking page for each weekly issue set of posts, so that it can carry specials, highlights, etc. Flexblocks filtered by category and tag. Very neat, easy to copy forward, just change the tag slug, content flows in, nice work guys! And we can add that page ID to a backissues page flexblock filter and that will be easy.
I can’t manually do this for the back catalogue though.
We can display each issue via the tag template page, although it would be prettier for us if the template did not put “Tag” in the title before the tag name. I guess this will need a child php file or something.
But I can’t find a good way to create a back issue catalogue with a link to each of these tag templates for each issue.
I’d ideally like a flexblock type display, or something, to display each tag, organised by the latest issue, with pagination. But the links must be to the tag listing, not to an article within the tag.
Is this possible?
Using posts: I could create a post for each issue with a listing on it, which I have in html for each issue already and could import to wp_posts. I could then do a single flexblock filtered by postID, with a comma separated list of posts. I’d limit the list to 50 issues per year and create a page for each year, so I’m assuming a flexblock can take a list of 50 post IDs.
But that would not be as pretty as linking to the newspaper theme tag template.
“Categories/tag list” block: at a pinch that would do, but it is much less decorative than the original at https://www.socialistparty.org.uk/issueindex/index. It doesn’t know the title of each issue, date, etc. Would need to add custom fields somehow I guess – using a plugin – wonder if that would work? And would prefer to carry a pic wit each issue…
Any thoughts welcome on the best route. Sure I am missing something obvious.
Thanks!
I wanted to thank you for your support. The reason I chose Newspaper was because of the active support forum. It makes all the difference. I was able to integrate “Rate my Post” plug in.
The solution is to add a line to wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/modules/tdb-module_loop.
Unfortunately this cannot be done with a child theme. I will try to show you the code in the next post. I seem to have trouble uploading code.
If you don’t see the code, and want the solution feel free to contact me.
Thanks, again
The child theme can be checked here -> https://i.imgur.com/rEEvdPL.png but to be sure, do not update the theme until you do not have a full backup for the current website and database. Once that you have the backup and something is not update correctly or the extra options are removed, then you can roll back the backup.
Thank you!
Thank you Calin!
The customizations were done directly by TagDiv team (I think Bogdan did them), adding the custom field “post_views_count” in order to be able to realign the number of views after migration.
I don’t know if it was done in the child theme or not…
Is there any way to verify this before updating the theme?
Thanks again!
Hello,
In most cases, this problem occurs because you have the latest version of WordPress with an older version of the theme.
Please check if you use the latest version of WordPress 5.8.1 with the latest theme version Newspaper 11.2, and check to see if the problem persists.
If you need to make an update, before please make a full backup to all files and the database, in case something goes wrong. => https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Also, make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Also, if the problem persists please check if you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache (also from your browser) and try again.

Thank you!
Hi RSP, depends if the changes were made in the theme or plugins files and not in a child theme, then yes, those changes will be lost when you’ll update the theme. If the changes were made using tagDiv Composer or adding css in the theme panel without modifying the theme or plugins files then there should be no problems.
Also before making the theme update, please make sure that you have a full backup for your website and database, and only after that update the theme. I recommend to make the update via FTP/cPanel this is the only method that guaranteed that the widgets will not be removed from sidebars -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ (method B. Update the theme via FTP).
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hello,
if you copy that file to the child theme it should work fine.
also, the updated theme will not affect the changes made in the child theme.
Thank you!
Hi lwatson1439 , unfortunately, only files from the standard pack can be set in the child theme https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ that it is way the paths used by you are not working. I think that it is need for more changes in the theme to understand the path from cloud. So for the moment the only solution that I see is to make the changes in the main files and do not forget to make them after the theme update.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi DinamoCrew, did you made some change in the theme files? or you use a child theme, because the theme file is not set correctly, the structure should be like this -> https://i.imgur.com/tva9XEw.png but the sidebar code is like this https://i.imgur.com/rCv1OZN.png (outside of that row).
What you can do is to make sure that you are not using a child theme and disable and delete the tagDiv Standard pack plugin, after that re-install it from newspaper -> plugins and make sure that you clear all cache.

Thanks to your guidance I was able to find the module I need to change. It is in
wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/modules/tdb-module_loop.php. I am having difficulty getting the child theme to execute this. The directories in the child theme tutorial have all changed. (v8 compared to v11)
I have tried a path of modules/tdb_module_loop.php
td-cloud-library/modules/tdb_module_loop.php
plugins/td-cloud-library/modules/tdb_module_loop.php
wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/modules/tdb_module_loop.php
Any guidance on the correct path?
A simpler way to describe this question. Are we able to use a Child Theme workflow to edit the header.php file located –> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/header.php. Will this cause any issues when we apply future updates? Thank you again.
Thank you for the response. We are using the Newspaper Theme with the Standard Plugin Active and we are using the Cloud Header for our pages. With that said, want to double check. If we need to add some custom PHP to the header we should be using the header.php file located in wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/header.php. Is this correct?
Also, with the above mentioned. Are we able to copy the header.php file to our child theme? Will the header.php file in our child theme work as required?
Please advise.
Hello,
You can edit the child theme with the Standard WordPress theme editor.
You need to edit each module which the block uses.
You can check this topic for some paths https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/custom-block-dynamic-font/ -> https://i.imgur.com/6qayOqz.png
Thank you!
Hello!
Please make sure you have the latest version of the theme and plugins(11.2).
It could be a plugin conflict for the posts. Deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache(also from your browser) and try again.
Thank you!
Thank you, I now see how the standard rating system works in wordpress and it is not good enough. I need users to input ratings.
So, I tried rate-my-post plug in. And it works great on individual posts. But the ratings do not show up on a category listing like this:
https://www.screencast.com/t/8sSWinpEOV67
After trying a lot of things, I think I need to actually create a child theme and call a function that the plug in provides [rmp_get_visual_rating]. I read your tutorial on creating a child theme, however, I have a couple questions:
Can the child theme be edited in the standard word press theme editor?
What file do you think I need to change to get the stars to show up on the category loop?
No matter what I do, I do not see the impact of my changes. (I have even tried to temporary modify the parent theme, Like change the “-” after author to some other code and it does not show that change either!). This leads me to believe I am either changing the wrong code, or the code I am changing is not getting executed. Help?
