Before I purchase this theme I made sure that it’s fast. I was assured that it’s extremely fast 😉
After creating my design I have 0 ratings on tools.pingdom for the following:
Parallelize downloads across hostnames
Leverage browser caching
Combine external JavaScript
Combine external CSS
Minimize DNS lookups
How could I fix that? I know that some of this might depend on my server, which is also first class with Cloudflare. Not sure what else can I do to speed up the loading time.

So on THEME PANEL I go to TEMPLATE SETTINGS and for things such as 404 and Search I set a template that I have made with CLOUD LIBRARY. However every so often after a few hours for example, the 404 and Search pages revert back to the original default layout and not to the CLOUD LIBRARY ones that i built. and then when i go and check the theme panel it shows that the cloud library ones havent been selected and i have to reselect them to apply them to the theme.
why does this keep happening? thanks

Only the cloud templates can be edited. Check them out, for example cloud single template 7 is based on the template 13 you like

I’ve created 4 cloud templates for 4 types of news articles on my site. Each of the following has its own template:
* Property
* Business
* Lifestyle/Fashion
* Viral/ Entertainment
All the other news pages (local, regional… etc) are just using the default theme template.
Within the custom cloud templates using tagdiv composer, I’ve placed up to three google adsense ads by copying and pasting the ad code into the correct place within ‘post content’. I’ve also given each ad a title so I can see where it should be within the code. If you check out this item (https://wmw-dev.co.uk/britney-spears-former-palatial-pad-on-the-market-again/) you can see the titles but not the ads. Ads are appearing all the other places they should be – side bar, headers etc and even within the custom themes where I’ve added them outside of the post content – e.g., the row of 3 blocks at the bottom of the link I’ve given. It seems to be top / inline / bottom within ‘Post content’ that aren’t appearing.
I’d appreciate any advice you can give and am happy to supply logins if required.

I believe by default that menu setting is set to no preloading. Indeed disabling it will improve performance.
You can test your website with online tools, try gtmetrix for example or Google insights and check the results and suggestions provided there. Optimize as many as possible, results should follow.

Style 5 is a templates of newspaper theme, (here is all the theme templates https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/ ,
unfortunately there is with max 3 columns ).
If you want to customize your footer you need to create a page and set it as your footer page
( Newspaper > Theme panel > Footer > Footer settings) .

Please notice that the sort order of the default category pages is the only setup by latest articles. Another alternative for you would be to use the Cloud Template Library and create a category page with your desired blocks which can be sorted by more options. WPBakery can still be used with the theme and it will be provided and updated, just that the new features will not be possible with it. When both composers are active there could also be issues in some cases.

Indeed adding more features will result in a few extra queries. There were lots of features added since version 7. There were 2 major updates with lots of new features in between newspaper 7 and newspaper 9
Performance is still a concern to us ad we will not sacrifice the theme performance for adding new features but we do have to improve the theme functionality also. You cannot ad new features without some performance loss. We are working on optimization though so performance will see an increase in future releases. We are constantly working on new features but on performance optimization as well.

I deactivated LazyLoad from Jetpack and re-activated the theme’s one; there was no problem and everything worked fine with that.
I find out that Jetpack also has the option to “optimize images” that is use their CDN to resize the images and serve them compressed.
My homepage without jetpack CDN loads in about 3-4 seconds and weights more than 10 Mb. It use only Cloudflare. With Jatpack CDN on it takes the same amount of time but weight only 2,5 mb.
It was maybe jatpack the problem serving the cripted images? I have now deactivated it because in other forum is suggested to use Cloudflare instead.
My question is: is it possible to optimize imgs without using photoshop and jatpack CDN? It seems that smush and the theme itself, despite the thumbnails auto-generating system, cannot do the job. Even the “regenerate thumbnails” plugin fails at that: the page weights 10 mb even after cleared the cache.

How do I make all posts in the category “category1” automatically by default be posted with the “category1” template?
I get this trying to load Cloud template
TagId composer is not working as well … Page created with TagId are seen as “Non a tagID page” … and nothing is running …
I haven’t changed any settings or plug or what you want ..
Can you explain ?

The box does not work with cloud templates. You can revert to default templates if you really need it.

I want all users on computers and mobile see my video files – it is my statement.
For computers I made nice cloud template for posts where video goes together with text and so on before post content on the top after logo.
But then I recognized that for AMP version this block is invisible and my mobile users can not see my video.
For them I decided to upload the same video as featured video for this post, so it could appears in the top of the mobile version as well. Also I marked this post as Video post. Otherwise in mobile version thisfeatured video still invisible. But in this case the preview of this post in the main menu and in all other blocks like related articles block and home page block are as the video picture like this https://ibb.co/hPddZp but I want to make preview picture of such post as for the general post with featured image but not featured video.

The theme does have a lazyload for the images, this should work as intended. It is quite sensitive however and may fail in case of conflicts with plugins for example. I see you also use the Jetpack lazy load.
Now the slider images are not base64 format, they appear properly in the slider

Maybe Cloudflare is serving images like that, and it seems to cause problems with the slider. I don’t remember seeing something similar before. Can’t say what exactly you should do.
