Hi,
The excerpts displayed by modules have a general font setting here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0PwKu0cMPD4
The article titles can also be customized in the theme panel for each module in general
– https://www.screencast.com/t/INCjUREZ
In pages built with the tagDiv composer you can customize all those elements for individual blocks
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1lm7G3s5tB
If this is not what you meant, please correct me.
Thanks
Hi
After I update Newspaper 8.8. I active tagDiv Composer plugin , then in body home page is blank, and have message error
“http://prntscr.com/js14cd”
But in tagdiv edit theme, it normal
http://prntscr.com/js14uo
Please help me urgency.
Hi,
That could happen if both WPBakery page builder and the tagDiv composer are active at the same time. Single images will be affected by both the composers. So you should decide which page builder you are going to use and deactivate the other.
We strongly recommend the tagDiv composer, as future features will only be available with it. Like the multi-purpose elements and settings and the new Cloud template plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-8-8-update-what-s-new/
Thanks
Hi,
First I see that you are using theme version 8.7.5 and an older WPBakery version (5.0.1). Update to the version provided in that theme package (5.4.7)
Page builder problems can also be caused by insufficient resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Please check the theme system status panel and see if it is set according to the documentation. WP-memory can be set higher if possible.
If you decided to use WPBakery page builder for your website, please deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin, when both are active there could be problems.
Thanks
Hi,
@sullamen Please try the suggestions mentioned above first, let us know if the problem is still present
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/td-composer-stuck-on-loading/
Thanks
Hi,
I tried
Wp-memory 128MB ~ 160MB
The problem is tagDiv Cloud Library and TD Composer two plug-ins cannot be activate at the same time.
Thanks
Hi,
first of all thanks so much for the support so far. I really appreciate it.
You got the TD Composer to run and I already could use it for the first time. It looks amazing and its a lot of fun to build pages with it. I would really love to start work with it on my site.
Unfortunately I needed to deactivate it again, because:
1 – To keep TD Composer running I needed to deactivate almost every plugin (e.g Buttons X, SEO Friendly Images, WP-DB-Manger, WP-Super Cache to name a few.)
2 – All Sidebars in my posts are broken after VC was deactivated.
Following your documentation for the switch from VC to TD Composers it should be possible to have both composer active (as long as we don’t use it at the same page) – is that still correct?
Following your last update documentation, TD Composer should be available for Posts now too – I couldn’t find it though. Should it be available for posts?
regards,
Norman
Hi,
If you want to use a previous theme version, you can install it that if you have the respective theme package saved. Or if you made a website backup before updating, restore it.
We are constantly trying to further improve the automatic update for the tagDiv composer, still for some users this seems to fail, then it will remain deactivated (older versions may create problems with updated theme).
In case that happens it will have to be updated manually which should not be a time consuming process. Delete it and install it from the theme plugins panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Y8YS1WRB
Update all the rest of the theme plugins you are using after an update. The automatic update will work only for the tagDiv composer and social counter plugin. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Also be sure to check the theme requirements as well, WP-memory may be exhausted
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks

Hi,
You will have to update the AMP plugin and it will work. This notice was introduced because users did not update theme plugins and that resulted in problems. Deactivate it and delete it and install it from here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/FXWYxbSkC
The tagDiv composer and social counter should update automatically, the rest will have to be updated manually for the moment.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check if the tagDiv composer has been updated automatically to the latest version, also social counter
– https://www.screencast.com/t/SCiuVcTo
If not, delete them both and install them from here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gO8IQeEK
Then there should be no problem with the website or counter. Let us know otherwise.
Thanks
In /includes/wp_booster/wp-admin/panel/td_view_theme_plugins.php lin 98 :
$plugins_path = ABSPATH . 'wp-content/plugins';
As WordPress allow to define a custom plugin path, the theme should use WP_PLUGIN_DIR to get the correct plugin path
Fix :
$plugins_path : WP_PLUGIN_DIR;
If not, and if user use custom plugin path (with define(‘WP_PLUGIN_DIR’, ‘/app/plugin’)), it will not work and causing trouble to manage bundled plugins with the theme :
Warning: fopen(......./wp-content/plugins/td-composer/td-composer.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
Hi,
Unless completely public, they will probably not appear in the playlist provided in the composer unfortunately. Public videos with no restrictions should work just fine.
Maybe you could consider using a Vimeo playlist plugin that works with private or limited videos, there could be some.
Thanks
Hi,
I really like your theme, but I’m keep getting problems with your composer tool. At the moment I am busy making some pages using your composer, but every time I am saving the page, something on my pages is shifting and changing.
It happens that after saving there are extra empty rows added to my content text, but most of the problems seem to be with the bulleted list.
To make myself more clear, here is a screenshot:
http://localvietnam.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/errorrr.jpg
Left side is how I make it and how it should be and right side is how it ends up.
This is the page: http://localvietnam.com/kinh-nghiem-du-lich/campuchia/siem-reap/
Thanks,
Marnick
Using the load template from the composer will allow you to load a template according to what you were previously editing.
So for example if you were editing a single template, you can load a different single template and sections, or if you were editing an author template you can load a different author template and sections. Sections I believe is an option for all templates.
Regarding that responsive issue when using smaller resolutions, I have added it on our list and we will find a solution as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.
You can further customize the post template after you import it, the template 17 you mention loads a larger featured image size
– https://www.screencast.com/t/G9KGglUVRJ
But you can change that as you wish.
Hi,
The functionality is still the same as before in responsive. The sidebar will drop but only on phones.
It would be quite complicated to move the sidebar below as on phones, then also stretch the post content and also the moved sidebar elements to display properly in the new location in the width of a tablet.
The new features will allow the creation of post templates with the composer, not chnage the responsive version of the theme.
Thanks
Hi,
You could try increasing the WP-memory to a more higher value if possible, that may not be enough. Also deactivate all other plugins, then activate the tagDiv composer again. Let us know the results of this.
Thanks
Hello ashubais,
If you want to add some ads to your post single and if you are using a single template for this, you should edit it with TD Composer and add from there the Article Top, Inline and Bottom Ads, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/JutUQa5z
Thanks for your understanding!
The TD composer is not working for me. When I click edit page, it just loads into a white blank page.
First there are a few things you could check. The theme system status panel would be most important
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Most issues with the theme and composer are caused by insufficient resources, they are solved by increasing theme as mentioned. If needed ask your hosting provider to increase them for you.
The next thing to check is plugins, deactivate them all except theme plugins you have installed.
Check if the problem is solved first after modifications made to the system status part, also check after deactivating plugins. Let us know the results.
Hi,
That notice is displayed when after a theme update the tagDiv composer and social counter have not updated automatically, which they should. In this case, delete both plugins and reinstall them from the theme plugins panel here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/bl3DcDIe
Then there should be no problem, let us know if there still is.
Thanks
Thanks for your answer. I must bring to your attention that I didn’t disable tagdiv composer plugin. I just upgraded from 8.7 to 8.8 via WordPress and that’s all. I had to re-enable all of them after that, cause all had been disabled automatically.
That’s going to happen every time you upgrade. I learned that the hard way. I upgraded and thought my site was broken and/or hacked, I proceeded to call my host and have them revert back to an older version of my site to “fix” it. The older version was a week old and I lost a lot of changes I had made in between. Turns out I just had to reactivate the composer. Cost me about 18 hours of work an frustration.
The AMP plugin does not work with the new upgrade. It won’t even let me activate it. It tells me it’s not compatible with the current version and deactivates it again.
Also, why is it everytime I update I have to re-activate the Tag-Div Composer? Every time I update, my site looks broken because the Composer isn’t active. Not a huge issue, just annoying.
Try to delete cache and disabling all plugins. Sometimes, the TD Composer don’t load or just spinning like a roller coaster lol…
Dear Bogdan,

Please note that this upgrade are messing up the plugins and you guys should advise BEFORE clients upgrade it’s Newspaper themes.
Thanks for the support.
