1. Im afraid that this is not a shortcode. Its a column made with visual composer.
Any way to include it there? Basically, we want a menu horizontal row, that would be responsive and will only contain text along with font awesome icons in front of them.
2. I understand. Basically, we want to have events listed there. We would arrange sorting via date posted manually, but we want to keep original post date visible. Some events are upcoming, some other past. We may post a past event today and an upcoming some days before the first one. This will confuse our visitors. Is there any way to add a custom post type or something so we can move everything up and down by altering a field? Something like priority from 1 to 999. Each number should be a position.

Please note that td-composer is still a beta version. Also it was mostly tested on Newspaper theme but works good enough with Newsmag too. However we can’t recommend it yet as a page-builder for a live site as there is still a lot of work to do until the plugin will work properly from any point of view. We release the plugin so users can test it and give us back their feedback.
Instead we hardly recommend the usage of Visual Composer plugin which is tested and works fine with our theme. Check if all these settings are fine and test this without any plugins active except Visual Composer, clear all the caches and see if the comments appear.

Unfortunately, the mobile theme has not been designed to recognize all the Visual Composer shortcode because this concept has been thought to have very basic structure, clear, fast and use for using.

I have checked your website and I saw that you images are working fine now. Also, if your problem will reappear please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

1. This could be achieved by editing theme’s code. Basically you need to edit the file which generate the header style used and use do_shortcode function to echo out the shortcode which generate that custom menu. http://screencast.com/t/GfnuK6fiYw
2. By default the category page cannot be customized to much, the post order if fixed. However you can use a code snippet to generate a custom one using Visual Composer. Here is an example:
– create a new page and add on blocks which will display all desired posts for the custom category page. You can use all available filters for blocks.
– create a new category page, ex: custom category
– edit category.php file and add a contrition like here: http://screencast.com/t/gxZTyMpw

This is just a basic example but could be customized in many different ways. Note that you may need some additional css for page’s layout.

The theme picks the first frame of the video as a featured image. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again and check how it goes.

Try also to update the theme at V 7.3 which is available on themeforest then update Visual Composer plugin at V 4.12, this version is included in theme’s path.

We want to achieve two things:
1) We use visual composer in order to ‘extend’ our menu. We use a 6 vertical frames style and we include a text link on every frame. We copy/paste this part of visual composer to every page of the website. We were wondering if there is a way to include this part to the header part, so we dont have to paste it every single time. Is there such an era, that we can tell visual composer to always include this template before the start of content of the page? If no, which other options do we have (probably a presaved template, etc? )
2) we want to create a category that will contain posts, which we will be able to arrange the way we like without having their dates affected at all. Something like an up/down arrow for live sorting through wp-admin, that would change their sort in the frontend, would be good. Any ideas?

If you use child theme deactivate it during the update process.

I’ve checked the site again and noticed that you’re using child theme. Try also to deactivate the child theme as it may cause some issues, also remove any css/js minifications then try again.
If you still can’t manage to solve this try to setup a new wp-install on a sub-domain following this configuration:
– WordPress V 4.4.3
– Newspaper theme V 7.3
– Visual Composer V 4.12
Do a few tests with this configuration and check how it goes.

Deasemenea, te rog sa observi ca vei avea nevoie de customizari suplimentare si daca nu esti constient de ele si nu ai ceva experienta in acest domeniu, vei avea nevoie de un freelancer/developer de care sa te ajute caci noi nu putem furniza serviciul de customizari suplimentare in acest moment.
2)Asigura-te ca ai cea mai recenta versiune de tema instalata care vine la pachet cu ultima versiune de Visual Composer, adcia 4.12. Dupa cum se poate vedea aici -> http://screencast.com/t/MQHZsDr7 campul de Post ID este prezent in Block Settings.
Daca nu este setat nimic in Block Settings, atunci bloc-ul respectiv va afisa cele mai recente posturi care au fost adaugate in site-ul tau deoarece setarea default pentru toate blocurile noastre este “Sorted by Latest”.
Daca ai nevoie de mai multa asistenta in acest caz, te rog sa imi furnizezi site-ul tau sa pot inspecta si sa pot sa iti dau alte detalii mai precize, daca este cazul.

I have checked your website and I saw that you have some js.erors in your console. These might come from your untested plugins which interfere with our theme and cause a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

Please make sure that the ad-code is correct, also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test again. If the problem persist check browser’s console while you’re saving the settings. If the settings cannot be saved there shroud be an 403 or 404 error which refers at admin-ajax.php file.

I simply cannot figure how to erase the annoying double spacing in the module. I want to bring the line that says “Wilmington, DE 19806” up so it is just under the line that says “1407 Woodlawn Ave.” You know, like how any normal address is supposed to look. But the default behavior seems to be to double space each line from that point on. I need to know how to toggle back and forth between single and double spacing.

Thanks for your reply. Ok, i can see the thumbnail sizes in the theme options, But i still didn’t get it.
1) For example, i can see the thumb size (100×70) is used for: Module 6,7 and Block 1, 2, 7, 8, 16
– What does module 6, 7 refers to? Is it in the prebuilt demos?
2) On my home page, i’m using one of the pre-built demos.. and in the visual composer editor, i can see “Big Grid 7”, as shown here: https://s31.postimg.org/uldmsstwr/Visual_composer.jpg
– Does the Block 7 in the theme options refers to the Big Grid 7 in Visual composer?!
3) The image i’ve uploaded earlier as a featured image was 504 × 544 (which is a large image, however it wasn’t showing right as shown here): https://s32.postimg.org/bdub5yp79/image_resize.jpg
So, my other question is: What is the recommended image size for featured images to show correctly on homepage? without having the need to regenerate thumbnails?
