Translated with Google:

I would like to add a consent banner to the newspaper theme. I wanted to add this code under analytics / Java Script Code Box:

<! – Quantcast Choice. Consent Manager Tag v2.0 (for TCF 2.0) ->
<script type = “text / javascript” async = “true”>
(function () {
var host = window.location.hostname;
var element = document.createElement (‘script’);
var firstScript = document.getElementsByTagName (‘script’) [0];
var url = ‘https://quantcast.mgr.consensu.org’
.concat (‘/ choice /’, ‘6Fv0cGNfc_bw8’, ‘/’, host, ‘/choice.js’)
var uspTries = 0;
var uspTriesLimit = 3;
element.async = true;
element.type = ‘text / javascript’;
element.src = url;

firstScript.parentNode.insertBefore (element, firstScript);

function makeStub () {
var TCF_LOCATOR_NAME = ‘__tcfapiLocator’;
var queue = [];
var win = window;
var cmpFrame;

function addFrame () {
var doc = win.document;
var otherCMP = !! (win.frames [TCF_LOCATOR_NAME]);

if (! otherCMP) {
if (doc.body) {
var iframe = doc.createElement (‘iframe’);

iframe.style.cssText = ‘display: none’;
iframe.name = TCF_LOCATOR_NAME;
doc.body.appendChild (iframe);
} else {
setTimeout (addFrame, 5);
}
}
return! otherCMP;
}

function tcfAPIHandler () {
var gdprApplies;
var args = arguments;

if (! args.length) {
return queue;
} else if (args [0] === ‘setGdprApplies’) {
if (
args.length> 3 &&

typeof args [3] === ‘boolean’

}
}
} else if (args [0] === ‘ping’) {
var retr = {

cmpLoaded: false,
cmpStatus: ‘stub’
};

if (typeof args [2] === ‘function’) {

}
} else {
queue.push (args);
}
}

var msgIsString = typeof event.data === ‘string’;
var json = {};

try {
if (msgIsString) {

} else {

}
} catch (ignore) {}

if (win === window.top) {
break;
}
win = win.parent;
}
if (! cmpFrame) {
addFrame ();
win .__ tcfapi = tcfAPIHandler;
win.addEventListener (‘message’, postMessageEventHandler, false);
}
};

if (typeof module! == ‘undefined’) {
module.exports = makeStub;
} else {

}

var uspStubFunction = function () {

Unfortunately, the Newspaper Theme then no longer saves and there is an endless loading loop.
Are there still any with the problem?

also the More stories Box is displaying correctly if you have a monitor with a good resolution -> https://i.imgur.com/RqNgBnp.jpg if you want you can try this custom css
.td-more-articles-box {
width: 250px;
}

to reduce the More stories Box size. The code need to be set in theme panel> custom code> custom css.

Hope this will help you!
Have a nice weekend!

Hi,

I just make a test with your video and for me is displaying correctly -> https://i.imgur.com/GIm2f5m.png settings on single post featured image -> https://i.imgur.com/3HeBQ6w.png results -> https://i.imgur.com/67X4Xtb.png -> https://i.imgur.com/hmGKBIp.png
make sure that you do not have any plugins that are interfering with the theme.
If the problem persists, you can try this custom css
.wpb_video_wrapper iframe {
width: 100%;
}

Let me know the results!

Hello,

Thanks for finding out the problem, the CSS code you gave works fine 🙂

The footer seems to be extended to the top of the content, in that page. That explains the black background color as well. The content the plugin inserts is displayed behind it.”

My question is:-

This issue doesn’t come when I use other themes, so are you going to fix this in the next update or this problem is coming from Dokan that needs to be fixed by the Dokan team?

Thanks!

Hi,

This https://prnt.sc/uew9ho is the bottom margin for the main menu, you can reduce it using tagDiv Composer and check the css tab -> https://i.imgur.com/Ddz5EMu.png or you can use a custom css like this one -> https://i.imgur.com/JgDbbIO.png
.td-business .td-header-desktop-wrap .tdb_header_menu{
margin-bottom: 8px;
}

The code can be set in theme panel> custom code> custom css.

Thank you!

Thank you the first option worked!

Interesting, I tried the custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Code https://prnt.sc/uf1huw but it only fixed the Safari web browser and not Chrome (I did not try Edge or Firefox).

Is it possible to add CSS and JS only for mobile themes excluding AMP? Actually, I have added CSS and custom JS to my child themes, however, those CSS and JS were not loading on mobile versions. So, I thought to add it on the Theme panel => Mobile Theme => Custom Code. This CSS applied both on Mobile + AMP (that’s not the problem), however, the js runs only on Mobile (not allowed on amp). This breaks the functionality of the code. So, is there any way to achieve it?

Hi,

What you can do is to use tagDiv Composer and set for the main menu a z-index -> https://i.imgur.com/WaxeeqX.jpg or you can use this custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/6pVJ1Nk.png
.tdb_header_menu {
z-index: 998!important;
}

Hope this will help you!

Hi,

Usually this can be done using tagDiv Composer, select the text and in css tab add margin top “-35” -> https://i.imgur.com/nRPDQDb.png also you can set a different number.

Hope this will help you!

Hi salsero72, in order to be your mobile visible in every page, you need to make sure that you set the menu in header zone not in content zone -> https://i.imgur.com/o1s1QR5.png also you need to set it using tagDiv Composer on mobile version and on desktop version too, because these are two different header.
You can use css as you mentioned or you can use some font icons as in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-add-icons-in-menu/
Hope this will help you!

Hi! I wanted to do the same, but I believe the guidance is outdated now, since WordPress does not show CSS-classes option for menu items. Would you be able to update this thread?

Hello,
how can I add a new menu (or horizontal menu block) in every page?

When in mobile view, main menu becomes a hamburger icon, while Top Menu disappears.
I’d like to create a third menu to be displays under the header, and to make it visible in every page.
I created one and put it using composer and made it visible in mobile mode,
but obviously it is displayed in homepage only.

Secondly: I’d like to show icons instead of text for this menu only.
Should I use just css:before? and squeeze text or is there a config somewhere?

Thanks

Hi,

I think that is set automatically, it could be increased with some CSS maybe. try something like his for example, and check how it works

.td-is-sticky .wpb_wrapper {
top: 110px!important;
}

Thank you!

Hi,

I see the problem now. The footer seems to be extended to the top of the content, in that page. That explains the black background color as well. The content the plugin inserts is displayed behind it. Try this code in the custom CSS section

.content-area .site-main {
display: inline-block;
}

Thank you!

Hi,

With a setting that is not possible at the moment, you could try this code to make it fixed

.td-header-wrap {
position:static!important;
}

Enter that in the mobile theme CSS section, and check if it works correctly. If there are issues let me know.

Thank you!

When I sticky an inner column, the top of the element hides behind the header menu sticky that drops down. It seems on scroll that the theme sets the CSS for the element to position: fixed; top: 20px but I’d like that top value to be much larger, perhaps 110px. How can I do that?

I cannot edit custom CSS when Yoast is enabled. I get a JS error in the console when loading the composer:

tagdiv-theme-plugins-setup.js?ver=10.3.6.1:237 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'registerPlugin' of undefined
    at tagdiv-theme-plugins-setup.js?ver=10.3.6.1:237
    at dispatch (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:3)
    at r.handle (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:3)

Doing a little debugging, YoastSEO is an object, but has no properties, including the app property so this line fails:

YoastSEO.app.registerPlugin( 'tdYoastSEOPlugin', {status: 'loading'} );

If I deactivate Yoast, it works fine. Any thoughts?

Hi,
I want to create an editor-style.css for my child theme that doesn’t get affected whenever I update the main Newspaper theme.

Is creating the editor-style.css file in my child theme folder enough? Or do I need to do anything else?
