Thanks for answering, Bogdan.
Yes, accross the whole site.
One solution I thought of was to create an additional element with the title tag in the secondary menu, which it’s in the Top bar (I’m using Header Style 1 – Multipurpose and Top bar Style 1). Then format that element (center it, change its font to a larger one, etc.) through CSS, BUT it would not appear in the mobiles’ main screen because the Top bar and the secondary menu are hidden in that cases.
I suppose I could use the space reserved for the ads in some header styles (may be “widgetizing” it with some plugin), but in my preferred style I haven’t got that space to the right anyway (http://migueldimase.com/).
Another way would be to add another bar between the Top bar and the header, just for the title. The downside would be a longer (higher) header, which I don’t like.
So, I think the ideal place would be INSIDE the header without making the header it bigger, in top of the main menu (may be decreasing its height a bit) where “Writings and readings” (the name of my site) could be displayed (in a line not too much higher/longer than the Top bar’s height).
But, ¿how can it be done?
Thanks again.
Hello pakdefense,
If you will use that plugin, you have more options in the panel. As a hint, you can hide it when your cart is empty like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/RaAvHPntp7Xo and if you want to display it only for the Woocommerce page you can try using the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.wpmenucartli{
display:none;
}
.woocommerce-page .wpmenucartli{
display:block;
}
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
I could take a look, please provide a link to your website if possible. Does the Facebook section disappear if you deactivate the plugin? maybe I could remove it with CSS.
Thanks
Hi there at TagDiv,
I have been looking for a long time to find a plugin to put different background images on different pages. I finaly found one (Advanced WordPress Backgrounds) that did the job. But know I’m faced with the next problem:
I don’t know how to give the (boxed) pages some transparency. Also looking for a same solution for some Elements like ‘Text with Title’. I would like to give the white background some transparency so the background image is somewhat vissible. Now the background only show on the left and right side of the (boxed) pages.
Is there any solution for this? Tried to dive into CSS and Child Themes, but that’s still out of my leake. Any help is much appreciated!
Kind regards,
Regio Online
Try Custom CSS:
/* Hide View Icon */
.td-icon-views {
display: none;
}
Hello Neo,
Try using the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.
.td-business .td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-logo {
float: left;
}
Thanks.
Hi,
Each menu item has a unique ID, so you could use that and create a code. I did it like this, first I have added an icon in my menu same way you did
– https://www.screencast.com/t/atJw6weOwj
The menu item ID can be seen with the browser inspector
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0vVSEOThr
So a code like this will change the color when on default (if you want to do that), also set a hover color
– https://www.screencast.com/t/6C5dK406DS
– https://www.screencast.com/t/mWocLAsrZNdZ
This is the code used in the example, you would only need to use the IDs you have. The colors can be set to what you like. Use them both or just the hover one.
.menu-item-3512 .fa {
color: blue;
}
.menu-item-3512 .fa:hover {
color: red;
}
CSS code can be entered in Theme panel->Custom code-> CSS section.
A guide that may be helpful here

Thanks
Hello,
I’m re-developing a website for my employer using Newspaper 8.8. We’re both very pleased with the theme thus far. Most issues I’ve come across I’ve been able to deal with on my own via various forum and web searches. This one is more of an “OCD nag” than an issue, but I would like to do it to increase visibility. The built in social links for menus are great, but my employer needed two FB Page links, and a network not listed. Considered and tried multiple options. Fastest way to do that was Custom Links from Appearance > Menus, and use Font Awesome icons. Okay, things are good.
Now I want each social link to have a custom hover color. That is what I need help with.
Here is the “Live Link” for Local by Flywheel: dc4eb874.ngrok.io
I’d prefer something I can add to the “Custom CSS” area in Newspaper’s theme options. Any help is appreciated.
Hi, Tagdiv
Please assist me to change scroll up color button. I already use your css code:

background-color: yellow;
}
but not work, check this pic:

Is it also possible to change the block used in a sidebar when using a mobile device? I would like to use block 7 on the desktop, but block 9 on mobile devices, because the sidebar is too similar to the content of the page and there is no longer sufficient visual delimitation. Is it possible to change the block or does the look of block 9 have to be imitated via CSS?
Hello,
Of you want the style to appear, you will need to have the recipes demo installed as it provides the needed css for the layout.
Then, use this template as a base for your posts:
Paste the code in text mode and edit it to your own recipes.
Thank you!
Till a lot a months no plugin were install.
There is only 15 basic of them active and a part are from the theme.
How we could achieve in the CSS that the text become justify as previously?
Try to remove the customization made in the composer. Then enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS
.td-travel.td-pb-row {
top: -220px;
}
Check if that works better for Firefox and other browsers.
On the Theme Panel settings under Post Settings I have a default post template STYLE 13 set site wide, all of my posts use that template.
I had tested with Style 10 and it didn’t do anything for that one either.
I tried adding the CSS under Custom CSS code section in theme panel like you said, when that didn’t work I also tried adding it to Live CSS but it won’t work either.
And I emptied cache after these changes, and I tried switching between both the Ajax and Normal counter thinking the code might work for one of them.
Hi,
Header style 5 would be similar to what you are looking for
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
The colors can be changed in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/6llfIaSo
It would be easier to use a similar header style than modifying that one, or at least begin with one and adjust it. Use as many theme color settings as possible, then some CSS if needed. I will help you if you should need it.
Thanks
Hi,
By a theme setting that is not possible, it could be done with CSS. However if you use Adsense it is complicated. They mention that Adsense ads should not be hidden from view
– https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/1354736?hl=en
You could create a condition in the header style 10 you are using, something like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/BhydQTSLfL4
Then the header ad will be displayed everywhere except the homepage.
What you could also do is to use a plugin for your ad implementation. Most users who want more advanced ad settings recommend the Adrotate plugin. More info about it here
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-manage-ads-in-wordpress-with-adrotate-plugin/
– https://ajdg.solutions/manuals/adrotate-manuals/
Thanks
Hello,
Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, yes the bbpress and woocommerce css are tied into our own thee css so it cannot be removed. We are planning to separate the css however so in future releases this will be possible but not for the time being.
Thank you for understanding.
Hello,
Sorry but the only block that can have a different layout for mobile devices is the flex block. You can set it up in the tagdiv composer separately for each device in particular: https://www.screencast.com/t/iCSSYePV5R4c
Thank you!
Hello,
The gadgets theme demo as other demos as well, ad their own css style to the theme and in many cases change the default colors. Sometimes a stronger css code is required.
Try this code in the theme panel-> custom css section:
.td-gadgets .td-header-style-5 .sf-menu > li > a:hover{
color:orange;
}
Thanks.
Hi,
1. The default grid style (all grids) does have a darker gradient over the bottom part of the image, I believe this is to make the post title and meta more visible when lighter images are used
With gradient – https://www.screencast.com/t/EwFqfRyrbkbr
Without – https://www.screencast.com/t/DExdlH06x85
Anyway you could remove it with some CSS if not required, or maybe change the style of the grid
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-3/
Since you removed it, what would you like to do now with the grid exactly? I will try to help you.
You can use any of the grids, full grids and blocks in that page. Choose the ones you like. For the article title colors I could give you a code once you choose the elements you want to use.
I believe there are plans to add a color setting for the article titles in modules, in a future update.
2. You could embed the video in a text element
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2gByhWjv2o
Stretch the row containing it and you should have a full width video
– http://prntscr.com/k6ynr4
3. Maybe that look could be achieved with the flex blocks. Those blocks are not predefined, so they can be set to display in many ways. With their settings and maybe some additional CSS you could get that result or similar.
Thanks
Hello,
Yes, you can set the code for a specific category using the category id.
You can get the cat id like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/QdVla6RVR
Then you simply add the id as a css class in your css code like so:
.category-414 .td-header-wrap {
margin-top: 149px;
}
As for the backgorund ad, sorry but for the moment we have no plans on implementing separate background ads for separate categories. We have not tested any background ad plugin either so i cannot make a recommendation.
As for the bottom white space, please ad this css in your theme panel under custom css
.td-main-content-wrap{
padding-bottom:0;
}
Thank you!
Sorry but there are no settings to alter the next prev pagination on blocks. It can only be done with custom css. if you provide more details to how you want them with screenshots, maybe we can offer a css code that can come close to the design you are after.
Thank you!
Hello,
There was absolutely no font change in recent updates and no alignment change.
Please check your plugins as I see many untested plugins in use that each have specific css.
Thanks.
Hello,
You can simulate a mobile device in the chrome browser inspector like so:
https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/device-mode/
You do not need custom css to change the mobile theme colors though: https://www.screencast.com/t/Yop8vHu5
Thank you!
Hello,
Only a ‘big grid full’ can be stretched to full width
A big grid cannot show in a split row. It needs a full row in order to show the content properly.
The load more pagination button does not have any settings for customizing it. It can only be changed with custom css.
Thanks
