If you want to change the parameters from the gradient which applied at the feature images on the big Grid, you should use a bit of CSS code and change the following parameters. Use the code below and add your color code you like.

.td-image-gradient:before{
background: linear-gradient(to bottom, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) 0%, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7) 100%);
}

It is quite complicated it seems to do this with css. It seems that you or the plugin have managed to include the custom menu inside the existing menu. Please try the code provided below and enter it in the Theme panel->Advanced Css in the phone section

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the Widget -> Custom Menu, right -> https://www.screencast.com/t/D4KcrocjtU? Notice that widget has own functionality to display all categories and subcategories, being a WordPress widget and the theme does not have any such an option that allows you hide the subcategories for the page, sorry! A quick solution in this regard would be to use a bit of CSS code to hide them. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

The links above are not found anywhere in the code as they are. I have pointed the call to the fonts above. The second and third links are the visual composer css and the main theme css file. You should read the speedbooster instructions on how to move render blocking css to the footer. But this does not influence page speed greatly. The images are the ones slowing down your site. Almost 80% of the page speed improvement will come from image optimization and of course a decent host.

I would recommend you use Css if possible and target the post, so it would not affect all the pages where the container class is used.
