I am a newcomer to Newspaper and not a developer.
I have recently downloaded a new demo onto my website and a header and footer cloud template.
I have tried to make changes using the Theme Panel but the changes aren’t reflected on any page.
Is there any more in-depth information and/or can you assist?

I’ve imported a demo, and started customising the posts page. However I want to now edit the layout of it.
When I try to edit it though I get this error:
Please select tagDiv Builder Template from the theme panel or set a default template. The current page/post uses a template that is not editable.
How can I create a duplicate of the current template that is editable?

NOTES
Site is a fresh install, not a transfer from another domain. Images show up in the library and image paths are correct. The problem started after 2 months of correct functioning. The problem only appears in Chrome, not Internet Explorer, nor Firefox. The problem does not appear for Chrome in incognito mode. Caching plugin was not being used when error ocurred.

Unfortunately this is no longer possible, it can work for some standard demos, but on PRO Demos will not work, also it can create conflicts with tagDiv Cloud Library.

How can we control how the header logo is displayed in terms of size? When I use Media Library to upload the logo (activating the Style 10 header style on the Recipe child theme) the logo is automatically sized smaller by the theme rather than its actual size. It’s even small than the how the DEMO LOGO is displayed.
If we wanted to make the uploaded picture display in actual size, what part of the PHP or TD Composer do we eidt?

SECTION AT ISSUE: Bottom of homepage where it says “Latest Recipes,” where the right sidebar widgets are.
QUESTION:
How do I edit that section? Is that a block? It doesn’t activate when I hover over it on TD Composer. I’ve looked for it in the Theme Panel but cannot seem to find any way to edit it, even to change the sidebar widgets to the left side.

Not sure if the user who posted this original post replied, but I have the same issue. I replaced the 300×250 ad for Newspaper X that comes with the demos with what I will call a “house ad” for our company. When clicked it does not redirect to the company url but to currentsite.com/companysite.com.
Am I misunderstanding the settings that can be accessed from TD Composer?

I suspect this problem comes from your hosting provider which might do not have enough memory and that’s why that error appears on the frontend when you try to import a demo. I suggest you consult your hosting provider and request to them to increase your system status parameters to be according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Also, if the problem persists, try to change the hosting provider to another one. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) and Cpanel access so we can take a closer look at your setup configuration page.

Please enable the option in PHP.Ini as you can see here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37531149/php-getimagesize-not-working-on-external-links That allow url is 0 on your side. You can ask your host to do this. Also this is the only solution for the moment, I will ask our developers about the allow_url_fopen security risk.

Also for the edge problem, please use this custom css ->

If you are using a pro demo, the footer is a cloud template, then you’ll need to edit it from a page, for example, you can edit the homepage, click on edit with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/uweNRrc.jpg after that go down to the footer end edit it how you want (now you can customize the the whole web-page from fronted).

Please note that the layout that you indicate is not the one from Newspaper is from Newsmag, it can be achieve only with Newsmag theme, if you want you can check this using tagDiv Composer and edit the Big Grid Flex 2 with tagDiv Composer also you can check a live demo with this element ->https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_sports_pro/

3. Only flex grids and flex blocks are adapting to stretch content, the normal blocks, Big Grid and Big Grid slide will not adapt.

Please note that if you are using a PRO demo you’ll need to edit it using tagDiv Composer becasue the settings from theme panell will affect only standard demos and templates. Pro demos were made using templates from tagDiv Cloud Library.

I am using the Recipe theme and activated Style 10 (under Theme Panel > Header > Header Style).
QUESTION: How do I resize the display of the header logo (http://www.influencerleaderboard.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/InfluencerLeaderboardLogo-5-300×98.jpg) to the custom size I prefer? I prefer it to display the logo at 583 x 191px, which is actual size of the image.
FAILED ATTEMPT 1: When I used the Theme Panel > Header > Logo & Favicon to upload the intended image, the theme displays it much much smaller than its original size of 583 x 191 px. Strangely, it displays the image WAY SMALLER than the size displayed by the original demo header picture.
FAILED ATTEMPT 2: Even when I upload a bigger version of my logo which has a file size dimensions of 1166 x 381, the Newspaper theme still displays it small, not the size of the original demo header picture.

You can use tagDiv Composer and add the icon element ->https://i.imgur.com/wSvYyhX.png -> https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/this should work, just make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
2. The popular post sorting requires this option to be active in the theme panel

3. Unfortunately, there is no Archive plugin tested with our theme and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry! Also, we cannot provide support for untested plugins.

Please note that only pages and cloud templates can be edited with tagDiv Composer, also the PRO Demos are made using cloud templates, the standard demos like Fitness (not pro) is using standard templates.
