By default, this is the main theme’s behavior. If you will test our demo you will see that behavior. These are already clickable, sorry! If you do not have this behavior means that you have some problems with your theme. Try to disable all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if the problem is still there, please provide some examples with your problem and also, provide your website so I can inspect it closer.

The pages can be created in the tagDiv composer page builder, using the elements you want and you think necessary. These are all the theme blocks (use selection on the right to switch blocks)

These blocks and grids can display posts and also pages. There are extensive filtering options and post sorting for these elements

The content that is displayed can be filtered by category, tag, author etc. Many sorting options are present as well. This is meant for automatic dynamic of the pages. Specific posts can be displayed at all times for example, by adding post ID’s in the filter.

Installing the demo with content will not remove or overwrite your existing content. It will import some dummy posts, categories, menus etc. These are meant to provide a structure for the demo to be displayed. They can then gradually be replaced with your own.
Installing the demo with no content, will import the demo custom design and theme panel settings.
You could install it like this, but in order to have a homepage like the mentioned demo, the same elements and layout have to be used in the homepage (same Full big grid, blocks etc) The custom design will apply only to the same elements like in the demo. For example the design on the Grid displayed on top differs from the default grid, it has custom design specific to that demo

I guess that you are referring to the Voice Report demo, right? So, if you want to change the very top image from your header style, notice that you should use a bit of CSS code to change the background image, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/bMAofCse
The code which you have to use should look like this ->

Just in case, you should make a full backup to your database to be safe in this case. Also, please notice that all of your settings will be loaded in your database except for posts that have been edited from the demo.

A child theme is provided in the theme package, please use that one

Not all files from the theme can be used in the child theme, in the guide the supported files are mentioned.
Install the child theme provided, this should not have any influence on importing a demo or building pages, unless maybe the code used in the child theme is interfering with this process.

There should not be any problem changing the length of the excerpt, to your liking. This can be done for each block module in particular. Each theme block is made of modules

The length of the post tile can be modified for all the modules, they all have this option

But not all the modules display a content excerpt

You will have to make this modification for the modules needed, and maybe go to the cache settings and clear it after making the changes.
Regarding the cache you are using, you will have to consult the cache instructions for more information about it’s settings and what they do.
About the page you mention, I don’t think I fully understand what you mean. Any block, grid or element can be added on pages, with the composer. Please follow the tagDiv composer tutorial and also this useful guide for block settings
