I’ve fixed all of them but this one, the same technique (just adding the s to http in the upload url specified, did not work)

jquery.min.js?ver=1.11.1:4 Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://xxxxxxx.com/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://xxxxxxxx.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/8.jpg’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

I removed the image from the folder via ftp, – this was after deleting it from the footer background and clearing the cache. It still requested it for some reason.

(index):1 Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://xxxxxxxxx.com/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://debrecentoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/8.jpg’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

Hi,

That is an error displayed usually when installing a demo, it could be caused by incorrectly set permissions
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-fix-file-and-folder-permissions-error-in-wordpress/
Also be sure to set wp-debug to false in the wp-config file
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

If you already tried this and the problem remains, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

The System Status should reflect the value, you set in wp-config.php file.
If you still have issues please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp or Cpanel access so we can take a closer look.
Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.

Hi,

Please make sure you install the theme properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Please make sure that the theme system status is configured as mentioned in the requirements guide. Please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.

WP_MEMORY_LIMIT try to increase it to a value of double you already have if possible.

The issue was solved by adding this code in the .htaccess file:
<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>

Also make sure that all theme plugins are updated and activated, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you for your understanding.

If you do not want to mess with FTP or SSH or whatever just use this plugin.

File Manager

@bwagner, your .htaccess file can be found via an FTP client or through a server-side file manager. Since it has the . in front of the file name, it is likely hidden by default so you’ll need to enable viewing hidden files to access it.

Hello.

As stated above, the amp font cannot be changed. If you activated the amp template on your site, it will display exactly like in our demo video. Here is a live example of a demo where amp is active:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/td-post-ripple-ceo-and-ethereum-co-founder-bash-ico-industry/amp/
But I see you have a more pressing matter on your site than the amp template: https://www.screencast.com/t/b2ZNi2Ff

Please check your site as it does not have a stylesheet at the moment.
Your issues could be a faulty theme install or plugin conflicts. Please make sure you install the theme properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
And test the theme functionality with just the theme plugins. Disable all other plugins.

Thank you!

Hi,

There are a few methods to update, there is a guide here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The most reliable and popular method is by FTP.

Be sure to make a website backup before updating, just to be safe. The theme changelog can be seen at the bottom of this page for example
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609

After the theme update the tagDiv composer and social counter will try to update automatically. If they don’t there will be an update button for each of them here
https://www.screencast.com/t/BVDwWVCjxXeq
There you can update the cloud AMP plugin and newsletter plugin as well if you use them.

Thanks

No, you don’t have to pay.

Update your WordPress to the latest vesion (5.0.2).

Download the latest version of the Newspaper theme (9.2.2) from your themeforest.net account.

Update the Newapaper theme on your site via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Hi,

The lazyload issues were fixed in theme version 9.2.1, changelog here
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
https://www.screencast.com/t/PpqJRYrZRo

After updating most users reported the issue is fixed.

If you have updated to that version, cleared all caches including browser cache and there is still a problem when the lazyload is active, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi turanika,

Please notice that any license support updates. There’s no problem in this case! Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ We recommend the FTP way because this is the surest method in this case.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,

Manually deleted prior installation via FTP client (FileZilla), then uploaded the WordPress installable file via WP. EVerything appears to be working.

But upon new theme installation, certain homepage content was missing and I’d like to know why/how to avoid in the future:

– Site identity switched to blog from static front page
– Title tag and meta description removed
– Content blocks deleted
– Footer deleted

Thank you,

Paul

HI,

I have an issue that I can’t fix by myself… I moved a number of servers and shared hosts in 2018 ( 7… ) because of speed issues, or lack of support, etc…

One thing always caused a problem: – the theme settings in the post page (the main category, subtitle, author name, etc boxes ) not copied over when I moved the site to another host, and I had to do it manually – with lots of extra hours of works.

Even I bought the wp-all-import/export plugin to make a little more help, but that also struggling to place it back to place where it should appear.
ANd all because it is an uncommon meta box and some reason something not right with it. The copied content also has inside the DB but does not appear on the post edit page at all…

Is it possible to convert those meta pieces of information to a more common ACF ( advanced custom fields)? I mean to make a separate table in the DB for the meta info?

Or some other solution to make easier to export and import when it has to?

2.:

COuld you make the plugins update more automatised?

I update the theme via the “Envato Market” plugin. Its make a very comfy way. But plugins just a mess always to de-activate, delete, download the theme package from Envato account, unpack, upload via FTP or wp- add , activate…

Why is it so complicated?

Please make the plugin updates also available via the theme settings plugins page or the WordPress update page.

Thank you for your hard work with this great theme and plugins, hope to see the more awesome feature in 2019! 🙂

Here are the recommended theme update methods https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/. The FTP (or manual) way is recommended to ensure there are no problems when updating. (I don’t work here).

Try to create a favicon.ico in the root directory of the website, seems that the image is chosen. If there is no such favicon.ico create one and upload it there by FTP.
For example in my case – https://www.screencast.com/t/vU9SRWyAjKA
Result in AMP – https://www.screencast.com/t/XOSy8og7TQW

Hi,

@MinHs
In almost all cases this issue is caused by the following:

Could be caused by insufficient resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
In this case the hosting provider should be able to increase them.

Or it could be a security setting, module or firewall, as in this case where the theme panel was not saving any settings
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-options-2/
The admin ajax could be blocked by the server and the theme cannot access it. Check in the browser inspector console to see if this is the case. If it is, try to find the security settings or firewall settings in the cPanel settings and change them. The hosting provider should be able to help with this task.

Also if you use Wordfence try to set it on learning more
– https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/

If you already checked or tried these, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel or FTP if possible. Please include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

I had the same issue after the last update, and I went (via FTP) and downloaded the plugin from the Newspaper theme Newspaper>Includes>Plugins and uploaded like normal and it worked for me. I’m not sure if it’s happening because of leaving the plugins active while updating the theme? But next time I’ll try deactivating them first before installing the theme update.

Simon,

I am sending you the credentials to login to the FTP and admin tool. The admin-ajax.php file is read only and GODaddy.com cannot change these permissions for security purposes. The files that can be updated are the .user.ini or wp-config file. I really need to be able to add our google adsense script into the Newspaper theme panel in order to generate revenue and worry that we are losing money every day that this panel does not allow us to save this script on our home page and posts pages. Would you please update me on how this is going? Here are our credentials again:
