Hello everyone,
I just bouth the theme Newspaper8. I’ve activated it with the purchased code… the problem is that i can’t install plugins include the Tagdiv composer … i have my WP in FTP server. Once i put the password to download the plugin this message appear:
The plugin does not have a valid header.
Downloading installation package from http://xxxxxxx.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/td-composer.zip?uid=5ae986c0c0046…
Download failed. Unauthorized
Please, how could i install them ?

Please try to make a new clean install to another subdomain for testing via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results. Increase the system status parameters to be according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Please make sure you are installing the actual theme zip file, not the whole theme package

You could try re-installing the theme (by FTP if possible), additionally deactivate all non-theme plugins as test. Check if this has any effect.
If there is still a problem, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, FTP and cPanel access if possible. Maybe we can identify what could be the cause of the problem. Please also include a link to this topic in the email.

Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there after this, please provide some useful screenshots with the error and also, provide your website URL so we can take a closer look at it.

I installed the crypto news demo. Beforehand I backedup everything via Updraftplus back-up plugin. In the end I wanted to go back to my own customized theme. Unfortunateley, the updraftplus back up plugin doesn’t work at all. So I have to start all over again. Which is not a huge problem.
The whole reason that I installed the crypto news plugin because I liked a grid featured that they used. When I want to used the same feature I can’t costumize any because in the composer I will only see code : http://www.screencast.com/t/I6EFlNSe
As you can see almost everything is code. I am not a coder and just want to design using the visual composer.

That would be highly unusual, the WP Super Cache is fully compatible with WordPress and our theme. I would suggest to disable all plugins by FTP since you cannot access the WordPress dashboard

That should let you access your WordPress. Also you could contact your hosting provider and ask them to check the error logs or what could cause the 505 errors. Maybe the WordPress install could be corrupted, they could take a look if possible.

First of all, you should update the theme to the latest version of it via FTP way, all of your untested plugins should have to be disabled. I suppose that you are using the Speed Booster and that’s why your additional customizations and the style will be loaded with a delay. Try to make a new install to another subdomain and check the results.

Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, 8.7.3 because in this version the problem with Instagram was resolved, clear all of the untested plugins, purge CDN files and check the results. I tried several times to install Newspaper. I’m all over via FTP and WP’s do it, but when I want you to turn on or activate the site then it crashes with the message ERROR 505! I would ask you to help me as soon as possible, if you need a private email from Vasis workers and then give your information so you WordPress install me. Whoever can let me know of the workers TAG Div-a on email
Sorry, I was some days not in the office. I have installed newspaper 8 on the classic way on wordpress. means your answer that I have to uninstall it and install it again via ftp? I have corrected the status parameters as described.

If you reinstalled the theme to no positive effect, then something else is causing this problem. Deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, deactivate the child theme if you have one, clear all caching and CDN if used.
Check the theme system status and ask your hosting provider to increase these resources if needed

Also maybe they can check the error logs produced by the server if possible and fix eventual errors.

Hi,
I noticed the social counters had disappeared from the back end so I updated to Newspaper 8.7. None of the plugins would install, I kept getting an error message about ‘no valid headers’, so I installed manually via FTP. They installed successfully but the site now was just showing a blank white screen on every page. I tried removing the visual composer plugin and then reinstalling it and removing the TagDiv’s Composer plugin and reinstalling that but nothing will work.
I’ve been working on it now for about 6 hours and I’ve just had to reboot my site back a week to get it working. It is now on Newspaper 8.5 and the social counters appears on every page but the homepage. I’m really confused.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Try installing this way https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and also make sure your host meets the required theme parameters https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/. Also, notice that tagdiv recommends maximum PHP 7.2 version for better results.
Done this two times, the first updating throw WP and the second by FTP.
Have also reuploaded via FTP the visual composer.
After update, I only see the header (mega menu not working) and nothing from the home page. If I get into an article, images are lost.

I have inspected your website and I saw that you have a strange span with a background-color: black which does not come from our theme and that’s why you bring that results, sorry! Please try to reinstall that demo again via FTP way after you make a full backup, clear all the caches and check the results. I have tested on my side and I cannot recreate this error. Notice that Wordfence plugin has not been tested with our theme and we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry! Most of our users use it and they were pleased with its functionality. Also, ensure that your theme has been fully installed via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case.
