Hello Catalin,
Following your last message :
– We updated our theme with the newest version via FTP
– We disabled all our untested plugings
– We cleared all our caches
On the link your are showing and other mobile screens simulator the pictures are showing but on our real mobile phones they are not. We asked several persons to test it for us and it still isn’t working.
We tried to upload a new article showing new photos and they are still not showing, except for one only :
http://www.traveleaters.com/road-trip-dans-le-northland-nos-decouvertes-gourmandes/
We looked everywhere and couldn’t find a way why this particular photo was showing and not the other. This is really an issue for our website.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Hello Catalln,
I tried but it is not working , can you please do this for me i can give you my ftp details here ?
Thanks.
Hello decentabid,
I recommend you to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. After FTP installation, you should import and install the Scandal Demo according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-installing-demos/ Do not forget to import the demo with dummy content if you want some content in your website.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
It seems this is happening only on the homepage. Please try to make a new clean install from scratch and install the theme only with the required plugins active, which come bundled in the theme package and rule out any conflicting plugins. For more information about installing the theme, please consult this guide here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hi,
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information and FTP access, so we can investigate the matter. Please also paste a link to this topic.
Thank you for Understanding!
Hello,
There must be something wrong about your file as the file from the last version has 979 lines of code, not 911
We do not get this error on any of our installs using php 7.0.
First, try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
If the error is still there, please try to reinstall the theme using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thank you!
How to update the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Read section A. Update the theme via FTP.
I updated to VC 5.1 via the Newspaper update that was just released. I did so via FTP; I renamed the old folder js_composer-old, uploaded the new one, deleted the old one, and cleared the cache.
A few things appear to be broken on my site related to VC now, such as this page: https://themedium.ca/archive/
Those are VC TTA tabs. On the backend it looks and works perfectly fine, but on the front end the styling appears to have changed, breaking the tab structure. I’ve disabled all minification and file concatenation while investigating.
I don’t get any console errors on that page in Chrome or Edge. (There’s a deprecated warning in Firefox’s dev tools but nothing serious.)
There was no way. They say the problem is yours!
If I pass the FTP access, do you review this problem? I’m worried because I paid and I have a deadline to deliver.
Help me!
1. Am I using a security plugin? No, not that I know. Never had this issue before today and I have not done anything new.
2. Via ftp? Don’t what this is?
Could you not enter with my credentials, please?
No.
Are you using any security plugin? If so, try to access to your site manually via ftp and temporarily rename the folder with this plugin.
Try to access dashboard again.
Hello aderayendra,
Yes. All the settings should have to be loaded in your database. Also, for each theme update, you should use the FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. simple method; upload graphic(s) that are GIFs via FTP to a folder on your website.
Then put the explicit URL for the graphic in your post/page.
WordPress doesn’t support the multiple image sizes in the IMG tag, with animated GIFs, I think might be the issue.
How to update the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
And read section A. Update the theme via FTP
Hi,
Normally those should not be lost after the update process but it would be a good idea to try and save them as a backup, just to be sure. Here is a guide to help you with the update – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ whether you choose to make through wordpress or by FTP.
Thanks
Hello neronart,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an old version of the theme, like 6.1, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7IkrsUxVv Please update the theme to the latest version of it which is 7.7.1 via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Update the theme and the required plugins, clear all your caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!

Update the Theme – see section A. Update the theme via FTP
Helo FilipeMelo,
My advice is to make make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ If not, make a new sub-domain with a fresh install and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello finanspara,
The only recommended way for theme updating is via FTP as Chris suggested you above. For more information about this, consult our guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Thanks for the message!
Hello Ace,
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, you should use only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files. The theme update should have to be done via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case, according to our guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ Also, if you are using the child theme, switch it to the main theme and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
Pleas switch to the main theme as I suspect you use a child theme and you have pagebuilder + latest articles in the child theme. This will not work from the child theme so please do not use that file in the child theme.
If this is not the issue please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate. Also provide ftp access and a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thank you!
What you can do, and what is commonly done in WordPress news portals, is upload images via FTP into an /images/ folder, and then put the explicit URL for the image in the HTML of the article, and don’t use the media manager except for the featured image.
Note that WP makes images from anything added to the media manager, per the default sizes shown on the settings > media page for *all* themes, defaulting to those most commonly used by the default blog themes included with WP.
So, *all* themes follow this behavior by adding additional add image classes to fit theme layouts, and for this theme they can be disabled based on the theme panel.
The only solution that works across all themes, is to simply use the FTP method for common images, and then use the media manager only for the ‘featured’ image for a story.
Anyway, that’s how we’ve done it the past 12 years on our news portals.
Because it’s not hosted on wordpress.org, but a commercial theme sold at ThemeForest.
See the theme docs on how to update.
FTP is best way as you can also do full site backup same time!
