Please try this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer plugin active, also empty cache and see if you still have this issue.

Depends on the size of the site, etc.
Basically some sites you can just do the “export” tool and “import” to the new site and bingo it works.
Or, in other cases you have to move the dbase over to new server using phpmyadmin, then install the dbase on new server, then install WP and point wp-config.php at your new dbase; presumably copy over all your image folders via FTP, and do an export of your theme settings.
Anyway… DUPLICATOR works pretty well. I just did this for one site.
If both servers use same system (e.g., PLESK) — “site migration” much easier as it moves everything over including emails, passwords, folders, php settings, etc. — it’s a 1:1 snapshot.
Do Google search for moving WordPress from one server to another.
Simplest way is using the beta “DUPLICATOR” plugin.
Or, if both servers using Parallels/Plesk or similar hosting platform, they actually have a “site migration” tool where one server FTPs the entire site to the other server. However, in that situation needs to be same type of hosting platform in most cases. Ask your hosting provider about “site migration.”

We don’t recommend the use of it as the envato toolkit seems to cause some issues and could not update the theme right.
We have this on our attention for further testing. For now I suggest you use the FTP method from the update guide and do a full backup of your current theme installation and WordPress: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Like Chris suggested it is a good idea to save them, but normally these settings shouldn’t be lost(deleted) only custom modification to the theme’s files will be overwritten.

When you updated the theme did you do it via FTP? If you did, it wont work properly.
As Chris suggested, you need to do the update as per his guide, even if you didn’t do it by FTP it’s worth going through it again just to be sure.
Add a new theme (any) to act as a temporary
Delete the old theme in wordpress back end
Delete the VC and social counter plugins
Clear all caches including browser
Disable all the other plugins
Reload the theme via wordpress uploader and activate
Upload the plugins manually from the theme download file not from the on screen message in the plugin page
Activate all plugins
Test again
If that doesn’t do it go back to the wp_booster/td_video_support.php file and check very carefully that you got all the http URL’s some are easy to miss. Chris had said don’t do the youtube shortlinks but I’ve done em all and it works still so I’m kinda hoping it hangs together for a minute.
In your post, don’t forget to tick “video” in format and select style 8 from the post templates, I use the full URL from youtube and enter it into the sidebar
If you are adding the video player block to the page you will have to fill in all of the fields and add a video to it for it to show correctly on the page, you don’t add the full URL though just the series of letters and numbers at the end part of the URL
If all of that fails you probably need to go to your hosting provider and ask them to add a php.ini file and switch on allow_url_fopen = on
After a whole day of trying to find out what was wrong I went back to the server people and asked them if the allow_url_fopen was set to on and he came back with this
“I placed some code in your public_html folders .htaccess file to make the php.ini file work”

So it was in fact the server that was the problem but also the theme should shoulder part of the blame as it’s not configured for SSL and that isn’t made apparent when you buy the theme, I’d also like to add that while TagDiv support and Chris who I understand doesn’t work for TagDiv are very helpful none of the solutions to these basic problems are presented in a coherent way.
Searching several thousand questions on a forum isn’t the best bet because some of this stuff needs to really be done in an organised fashion. More documentation is probably needed and to be fair I will probably put something together to add to the forum just for people who are stuck with configuration and SSL issues but I’m no expert so could end up doing more harm than good?
Anyway, all is working so that at least one satisfied customer.

Please make sure that you use the latest theme version 1.6. If you don’t use the latest version that is the reason there are differences in Theme Panel.

So if you like this solution please try it and you can disable Taxonomy plugin and see if the other issue is solved.

If you return to the post editing page the content is still there or it’s gone?
If it’s there it may be a database error, try to look for the error.log file (usually you can find it via ftp of c-panel), the cause of this issue may be recorded in there. If you find it paste it’s content here, you could use pastebin – http://pastebin.com/

If you haven’t made any modifications to theme files then you can use the FTP method from the video to updated your theme as the css from the custom css filed or theme settings will not be affected and it will style apply.
If you update the theme from one version to another them you can also use the patch provide within theme files, the patch contains just the modified files and can be used only if you update the theme from one version to another.
In your case you can use the patch as only update to version 4.6.2 contains modified files.
For each case I suggest you do a backup of your current theme installation as in case something goes wrong you can revert back to it.

Download a copy of that file for backup

My problem:- 729*90 adsesne ads work nicely on Dekstops but on ipad landscape and Phones they are not scaling as planned . on iPad they stretch into the side bar and in phones they stretch wider than the phone screen width.
I have read the detailed instructions for Ads and have experimented with specifying the ad size per device from the theme panel but it’s still not working perfectly.
My question is:- If I want my ad to show as 729*90 on desktop and 468*60 on tablet (portrait and landscape) and 320 *100 on cells. what type of Ad sense code should I use ? Shall I get the code for a 729*90 from Ad sense or the responsive code ? which one do you recommend ?
& I wouldn’t mind you having a look into my site to find out why it’s not working as planned. I can PM you sftp details and admin details to check it out.

Download logo.php as a backup
Edit logo.php with a text editor.
You’ll see anchor tags in both the //Retina and //Not retina code.
Change href=”<?php echo esc_url(home_url( ‘/’ )); ?>”
to
href=”http://www.newaddress.co.uk”
Change “http://www.newaddress.co.uk” to the URL you wish to link to. Clear any cache plugins you may be using afterwards.
You’ll need to do the same thing with logo-mobile.php
I’ve just asked my brother to try and embed a vimeo video on his site that uses this theme and his is broken too, that’s 4 of us if you count me twice?
Is there any fix in the new version of the theme and does it have to be updated via ftp or is there another way?
