Well, can you be more specific ? Are not your normal header and sidebar ads showing on your tag pages, just like on your category pages?

If you setup a custom sidebar for your tag pages, you need to actually put ad units in the appearance > sidebar you’re using for the tag pages, if not the default one.

My tag pages show my ads the same way they do on a post or category page, since they have the same header and sidebar.

Can someone please find out why Header ad is not showing when Adblock Plus is turned on in browser, while sidebar ad is ok?

For those specific folk using mod_pagsepeed

you may start seeing some oddities with Pagespeed Insights, where Google now telling you that stuff like a .js file or .webp file doesn’t have an expiration header over 5 minutes; where basically MPS is “intercepting” the file to serve on page build, and so a few oddities ignore the .htaccess file TTL settings (!).

The fix I discovered yesterday is adding a config line to the master pagespeed.conf file, and looks like this:

ModPagespeedImplicitCacheTtlMs 604800000

Basically this will over-ride the MPS default time to live (TTL) from 5 minutes to whatever time you want, such as a week. Note that the number is in msec not seconds (!). So, typically you need to work out that time using online converter (Google has built in function for that … !).

This was driving us nuts the other day, and this was the solution.

Depending on your server you might also need to actually add the webp MIME type to your apache mime setup file.

I would worry more about the issues with your CDN setup, and redirects, etc.

Note that all those external “requests” refer to all the ad networks, pulls from CDN, pulls from local, pulls from FB, etc.

Only way to cut down on loading things is to use less things!

From the looks of it you need to “tune” your CDN stuff a bit for expiration headers, etc., which should help cut down on some things.

It’s like a train … the more cars you put on the end the longer it takes to get up to speed. You are pulling a lot of external train cars!.

I was set for everything, but while searching for something on my site, I saw this http://i.imgur.com/A3WPVVp.png. Titles of the articles go beyond the search box. This is on header 8. When I use another header it works fine.

Is there any way to remove the gap that a picture has below when there is a caption?

I am using the code to show the caption inside images instead below of them.
