Hi
I’m new to WordPress, just familiarising myself with this theme and would like to add a 1pt line with the colour #557b85 at the bottom of the header (header style 2) that runs the header length.
My CSS is practically non-existent so am stuck.
Any and all help appreciated.

I updated the newspaper from 8.x to 9.6.
Theme panel shows this message,
“Please install and activate the tagDiv Composer plugin – Our plugin is required for this theme to work best.”
and I moved to Install premium plugines page and then clicked “instaall” button.
But the installation failed and message “The plugin does not have a valid header.” showed up.
If I need new license I will buy, how to get it?

Hi – I am using Header Style #6 in the Newsmag Theme panel. Also I have uploaded two sizes of my logo as specified in Newsmag Theme Panel > Logo & Favicon. They are 272×90 and 544×180.
Today the logo has suddenly started to render “clipped” on each side

I love this theme and I am only now realizing the significance of the work you’ve done here! Masterful! Congratulations! I keep having one problem however. No matter what I do, the content in Big Grid 7 dominates every page and post and it is the first thing people see when they come to the site. I am working on a staging site. Hey, I am trying to update the newspaper basic theme demo in my wordpress website but when am trying to install some plugins like TagDiv & social icons, Its showing it does not have proper header. Kindly resolve the issue since its giving messed up website preview with rows & column html codes on the home page.
1.I need to change main menu for each category so that category pages show sub categories in their own mega menu. On the other hand theme does not allow custom header or custom main menu for category pages. How can I achieve this functionality? Is there an option to assign category to pages designed by composer as if we do in home page.
2.In mega menu I want to see only first nested levels of child categories on list but not more. On the other hand mega menu displays all child categories even they are nested under first level children. Is there an option to limit the category nest level to 1?

Hello i have one problem since the versión 9.6 of newspaper.
Until i update the theme, my adsense ads in mobile work bad.
I have this size in the theme panel (For example the header)
– Desktop = 700*90
– Mobile = 320*50
Buy, in mobile version only show ads 350*350. The theme is not recizing the ads.
Y try in AUTO and happend the same. Desktop working fine, mobile only show 300*300 ads.

Thank you for the heads up regarding wp rocket. For now, I’ll guess I’ll stick with wp supercache but I seem to have problems using it with cloudflare.
Wp Super cache only works with cloudflare if I have cache page http headers with page content enabled.
Autoptimize on the other hand seems to break my site so I guess I have to tweak it some more.

Thanks. I downloaded the supplied empty page template and successfully created a new page using the empty template.
However, when I build a simple page using this template, it’s behavior is unexpected.
I create a new page, use header manager to turn off the header, drag the Hero element into an empty column, and click “preview”
The preview shows me a blank page with a sidebar. The Hero element is not displayed. When I hit “save” the message is “header successfully saved”
Am I missing a step?

Hello,
In order to create a landing page with no header or footer, ypou need to have the cloud library plugin installed. The header manager will allow you to remove the header. In order to remove the footer, you will have to use this custom page template:

Place it in the main root directory of the theme under wp-content/themes/newspaper
This will create a new page template called “empty page” This will be a page without a footer.

I had to turn the Tag Duv cutomizer off due to conflicts with WP Bakery. Is there any way using CSS that I can increase both the header size as well as the logo size?

The forum has a search option which can be used to search for related topics.
There is no right or wrong way to search for topics. Just search for keywords such as sidebars or sidebar problem etc. (quick tip) When finding topic the forum will bold out the keywords found in that url and the url will not be clickable. You have to copy and paste it in your browser
For example: search for header: https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/header/
As you can see in the url;s found, the word header is bold so if you attempt to click the url directly you get this: https://www.screencast.com/t/nEBSAcrHWK7v
The bold html tags stick so either remove the < b > tags or simply copy the url in another tab

I added my adsense auto code to the header of the website. On mobile i have a drop down ad that I can’t remove, even though I have removed the code from the header section of the ads setting!? Any idea why this is happening, and how I can drop the drop down ad placement?

I had this problem after updating from v9.1 to v9.6.1, but we also experienced it after editing a page in 9.1 before updating — we’d edited the About page probably ~100 times, and after a routine edit, the page became broken and would no longer load in TD Composer. TagDiv really needs to include better error messaging for this sort of thing. Why are you showing an error message if no one, including your developers, can say for certain what it means or where the problem is?
The problem we had after updating came from our custom child theme code — We updated our child header.php based on the newest header.php in Newspaper but still had the super helpful “Error at zones: 5 (models) : 1 (dom)” message when opening a brand new Page in TD Composer. Turns out the existence of <div class="tdc-content-wrap"> in our custom footer template was enough to break Composer. Oops. Changing that to <div class="td-container td-footer-bottom-full"> fixed the problem and we could edit Pages again.
The About page problem was even more fun to track down. Long story short, my manager had edited a raw HTML section and not closed off a <div> with a matching </div> and saved the page. TD Composer then started throwing the “Error at zones” error and the page was no longer editable. The fix? Take the offending raw HTML string from the text editor, base64_decode() it, rawurldecode() it, fix the markup, rawurlencode() it, base64_encode() it, paste it back in the text editor, and save. Now the page is editable again. Seems like maybe not the greatest system.

My links in block headers are not linking to the pages they describe. Instead they all link to /#. How can I correct this?
