Forgive me for this simple question, I’m probably missing something really straightforward.
Is there a way to have a single post element featured on a page in Newsmag. For example, there is a Big Grid 2 and Big Grid 3 but I can’t see how to have a Big Grid 1 (with title and excerpt). The Homepage Post automatically stretches full width which isn’t suitable.

How to add custom title for big grid block?

The homepage has no h1 tag it’s no good for SEO.
Big grid custom title could be convenient place to put h1 tag.
It’s would be great if you add it there or someplace else.

Hello, I am having trouble disabling comments on a static homepage I have created. I have disabled comments in the ‘Edit Page’, but there still appears a ‘No Comments’ title at the very bottom of my homepage. I want to allow comments on other pages, just not my static homepage. How do I do this?

Is there a way to apply a sidebar to everywhere in your site instead of having to add a 1/3 row to all pages and posts? Because I currently have my sidebar setup for my homepage, but there is no side bar anywhere else on my site. How do I fix this?

Following the guides and forum I reached using Comet Cache, tagDiv Speed Booster, etc.

all nice, added in tagDiv Speed Booster the codes, removing statistic plugin by histats (js hosted at them), no ads.

but since I want to add some ads, and back my statistic plugin or other I need to get those 5% I miss:

Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content : style.css

– if I add

$this->move_style_to_footer_queue('td-theme');

then is showing in pagespeed/insights back (reverts) all the changes I made… so, not good.

– if I add ‘td-theme’ line above and remove any other block that contains ‘td-theme’ in Speed Booster it crashes.

– There is a way to fix style.css render-blocking?

i ask, since i followed all the other codes, used them, it works, but not for style.css …

– other note: adding (‘js_composer_front’) breaked my homepage, any page I do with composer is showing a vertical line on the left side of the theme. so I now use only latest posts as homepage, to look fine.

– on mobile I have 84 / 100 just because of the same error, style.css in the screen above.

using wp 4.4.2 and v2.3.5.

While testing the performance of my website, I noticed a strange reference to facebook on the homepage. There are no facebook objects on the homepage, so i don’t know where its coming from. How may I remove it? it seems to be some kind of tracking pixel.

Everything is going well with our website rebuild using Newspaper except that the complete footer block containing the Editor pick, Popular posts,Logo, about us etc has vanished from the Homepage. Can you advise us how to make it re-appear. We have tried using the Theme Panel (Footer Section) to make it visible again but with no luck. I’m sure we are doing something wrong in the settings. Any help would be welcome. We used the default Newspaper default as our template.

I’ve got my theme set to display 3 featured posts at the top of my homepage, but all of a sudden one has disappeared.I haven’t messed with any of the template settings, it was just all of a sudden gone. I there any reasoning behind this?

I hate hate HATE Visual Composer. I deactivated it and my homepage is currently just a Big Grid added by way of a shortcode and the latest posts.

Here’s my question: is it possible to add blocks (filtered by category) on the homepage with shortcodes alone, or does that require Visual Composer?

Excuse me, if somewhere in the forum there was a similar question but I didnt find it.Im making a homepage with viscomposer and want to make that way: when I put my mouse on text link in BLOCK9 it will change color on white.
Also is it possible to change the color of border that separates links from each other in BLOCK9 on black, for example?
