I would like to have different header style for the homepage, and different for the other pages. How can I do that?

Cannot Click Visual Composer Elements - topic

Hello,

I all of a sudden cannot click on any item while using the visual composer on a new page. I cannot add an element, add a row, or select a template, etc. I go in to click on an item, but nothing happens when I click.

However, my homepage, which is a template I added when I first installed, I can still edit using the Visual Composer.

What can I do to fix this?

I went in and re-selected all items under the Administrator permissions, but it still doesn’t work. Please help!

Newspaper Theme Homepage Not Working in Mobile View - topic

I have a problem with my Newspaper theme in mobile view.
When I view my site on desktop, it works just fine. However, when I try to view my site on my phone in mobile view, it shows some codes on the homepage which can only be seen in mobile view.

Errors/Issues with Newspaper Theme v6.2 - topic

Hello,

I have installed v6.2 of Newspaper theme on my website.
URL : http://www.naukrinama.com

I have few doubts :

1. I have created a Page Named States : http://www.naukrinama.com/state-jobs
Now just below the page title i want to show sub-category tags of this particular page like this :
http://www.naukrinama.com/government-jobs/

How can i do this ?

2. How can i remove the sorting dropdown in the right corner from Category pages where it gives options as (Latest, Featured, Last 7 Days,etc.) :
http://www.naukrinama.com/government-jobs/

3. Wherever Pagination is coming on Either HomePage Latest Articles or Category Detail Page and I change the page then the URL also gets changed. Because of it, duplicate meta-tags are getting generated in google webmasters.

Can you tell me how can we switch pages without changing the URL (May be changing pages through Ajax or JS requests).

4. I have created a multi column page based megamenu named “States” on my website. But when i open it in Mobile layout then it is not getting visible. It only shows top level “States” option, and none of its sub-options are visible.

Salut,
Am reinstalat tema si am observat ca au disparut cateva lucruri:

1. inainte puteam pune la module pe homepage si numarul de vizualizari a unui articol (codul era: <?php echo $this->get_commentsAndViews();?>). Acum nu mai functioneaza. Este un alt cod cumva?

2. Speed Booster-ul nu functioneaza cu Akismet sau orice alt plugin nerecomandat de voi?

3. Pe tema veche bagasem urmatorul cod pentru a evidentia anumite cuvinte pe homepage:

Hi Andrei, many thanks for this.

I want to use it on a block (the text with title block). I’m not using module 15 & latest articles (also, I just had a look but I don’t even have module 15 displaying as an option when I adjust the page attributes. The closest I’ve got to your screen shot is “Homepage – with article list”, but then there is no module 15).

Anyway if I’ve understood this right there’s no way to get it to work on the text with title block?

Help! I’ve just updated the site to version 6 and none of my images are appearing on the homage? I updated the thumbnails as suggested in another post and have done everything else I can find here, but still no images?!

Also, why has the line separating the footer from the main content disappeared?

Modify Sidebar on a Virtual Page - topic

Hi,

I know I should be able to figure this one out, so apologies in advance for bothering you…

We’re using an Events Calendar plugin that creates a “virtual page” of all our event listings in a subdirectory of /events. Visiting that page (http://www.venturaclassifieds.com/events/) displays the events and a sidebar but I can’t figure out how to change the sidebar. Looked in Theme Panel > Template Settings, tried finding the actual page but no luck. The plugin allows us to “Choose a page template to control the appearance of your calendar and event content.” When we use the “Default template” from Newspaper, it displays with the Newspaper Default sidebar. How would I change it to use a different sidebar if the page doesn’t actually exist?

I can also choose to associate it with a different template page like “Homepage – blank” or “Page builder – with title” but still can’t find the page to “edit.”

Would really appreciate any guidance on this.

I am using three columns on “homepage blank”, when i use the site in mobile (landscape mode) we need show two blocks per row (pic 2), not one (pic 1). And the third block should be under row together with the first block in the under row. The others two blocks be together in another row.

Slider issue - topic

Hi,

We’re using Newspaper theme on our website. But in homepage, slider on the right is not working correctly on some web browsers like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. There isn’t any problem on Safari and IE.

The issue is can’t changing the page on slider. Arrows shown, but don’t working.

Our theme is up to date.

I’ve just downloaded the latest versions of this theme and VC plugin (4.6.2)

Updated everything but the homepage is still not aligning properly…
Is there anything else I could do to make this right?

Urgent – Problem with Newspaper upgrape - topic

Hi,

I’ve just upgraded the new version of Newspaper and as you can see on my homepage (www.zhappyng.com) I have problems with the preview of my pictures.

1) In the first block, the 3 pictures/previews on the left are cut…It perfectly worked in the previous version and I didn’t change anything.

2) In the second block (the lastest article) you can see the pictures don’t have the same size…a new prblem I havn’t in the previous version too.

Can you quickly give me a feedback please I can’t stay my homepage like that.

Thank You for a wonderful theme. I had started creating my site with v4 and then upgraded to v6.

I’m creating http://www.e-doctor.in site. I’ve force generated thumbnails for all the images.

Please see the homepage slider and the News in Detail and Online Lectures blocks below it.

I need the images in the homepage slider and the blocks below to fit into the view.

Please help to fix this issue quickly.

News ticker, homepage pagination, mobile menu not working - reply

Ok Thanks, On the desktop: News ticker, homepage pagination seems to be working fine now, thanks a million.

But on Mobile devices. These problems are still there and mobile menu is still doing the same thing, where by it adds # to end of url. That’s when you browse the site on a mobile as I am testing on my Samsung s4 active. Can you please help fix this for the change to apply on all devices. I haven’t touched cache since you fixed it on the desktop so it should still be disabled Alin.

If i talk about sidebar which i using in homepage or in the post.
If i enable 7 days popular post setting i can’t see that, and i know i can enable from theme panel settings.
But i can’t see after that. Not a single popular post in sidebar if i choose that option.

WP Super Cache CDN settings - topic

Hi,
I have recently created a site: http://www.almosthuman.cn . I am trying to increase the speed of the website using CDN. There is a setting in WP-Super-Cache to simplify the CDN configuration.

CDN prototype: http://cdn1.almosthuman.cn/wp-includes/js/prototype.js
Off-site URL is set to http://cdn1.almosthuman.cn
Directory is the default: wp-content, wp-includes
Exclude extentions: .php

The problem is the homepage static files are not served from the CDN.
– Homepage url: http://www.almosthuman.cn/
– chrome developer tool->sources shows almost all content being served from http://www.almosthuman.cn/
– this bug is only apparent with clean cache on first load

The CDN seems to be working fine for http://www.almosthuman.cn/news/
– opening up , we can see wp-content and wp-includes being served by cdn1.almosthuman.cn

Then if I go back to the home page: http://www.almosthuman.cn/
– everything is normal again, content is served from cdn1.almosthuman.cn

Is this a WP-super-cache bug or there is some configuration error in Newsmag which I can fix?

Not sure what you mean but if you want to obtain a similar layout to this page: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/homepage-big-slide/ you can use the slider on top of the page and page builder with latest article as a page template like here: http://screencast.com/t/bfpmtOCU4
Let me know how it goes and if this is not what you mean please provide more details.

Yeah, that’s what i’m currently doing. Just thought there may have been a way to do it.

Also @TagDiv, is it possible to add a loading animation for the infinite loop pagination option on homepage like the ajax pagination loading animation.

Superior Page ??? - topic

Hello I have a really weird issue I am setting up a page for products and each product has a list of instructions, so i am puting as superior page the product page. The thing is that whenever i put a superior page the content just stop showing and its like my homepage, I use the visual composer to construct the page so i really have no idea what is happening, let me put an example of this

This is the page without the superior page:

This is the page with the superior page:
http://www.tierrapermanente.com/TP/producto/paredin/

The only change i did was pointed “Producto” as the supperior page. Please help
