Not sure what you mean as the VC page builder can’t be used on archive pages. I have also checked your site and found that you have more that 3 posts on your archive page: http://screencast.com/t/cFMc2CCFaBe

For a homepage without the latest articles section you have to use the default page template or the page builder with title.

In homepage (www.diemmestore.it) I see wired thumbnails, in responsive mode, on my iphone.
The theme upload 238×178 pixels instead of 300×224 pixels image, so it looks blurry. I regenerated images but nothing had changed.
How can I fix the issue?
Hi! Congrats on the great template. In fact I was going to use Newspaper for my site initially —which I bought a month ago— but then I saw Newsmag and had to change my plans and buy this one too.
I am migrating my site from Joomla, and have everything set but a few things that I really need help, please:
1.- I need to hide author on post (both below title and author box) on some categories. I need most of the categories to show the author, but I need to hide it on two or three.
2.- I loved megamenu, and for it to work properly I had to group some categories in a parent category, but this way my permalink get changed, too long (I’m using the custom option /%category%/%postname%/). So, is there a way to have three or four categories on a megamenu without having to group these categories under one parent?
3.- Little white spaces between Video List and Footer, and between Block 2 (black, sidebar) and Video List –> dev site
4.- The image cropping is not working right. Images on Megamenu are being stretched instead of cropped. Is there a way to crop all images (thumbs) on the template?
5.- I customized date format on the top menu, and other format for blocks, but now I need a third format for posts. how can i do this (Post template style 2)?
6.- I need a sidebar widget (Facebook like box) to not show on screens from 768px to 1023px. And how can I center it on the column when showing?
7.- On 2-columns Slider (homepage), is it possible to not show Views and Comments? And is it possible to change the half-opaque-layer to something like this:

Ever since I upgraded to the latest theme version my homepage is not showing the latest posts, it shows them however when I am logged. I had also reinstalled the visual composer to the latest version.

I have checked your site and found that your forum breadcrumbs work the same way as the ones from our demo which point to homepage so I’m not sure what issue you have.
You could try to check this without any other plugins active so that you make sure that this doesn’t happen due to other plugins then check your console for any js errors.

You can do it via page builder using the Visual Composer plugin and set your page to full width then chose a custom layout for your page then use the widgetised sidebar element to set an already created sidebar or just build your sidebar adding other VC elements/widgets/blocks: http://screencast.com/t/zwsOdVFTwoE

Please provide a link top your site so I can check this or if you use the “Homepage – bg + with article list”
or “Homepage – bg – no article list” page templates make sure you don’t use a slider as those template already add a big slider to the page so you wont need to add another, that’s why you get two slider on page.
You can remove the slider you have added in order to fix this or you can use another template and add it yourself.

I have finally made everything I wanted to, apart from archives. They weirdly show only 3 articles per page (which is a setting from homepage VC builder). Am I seriously blind or is there a way to change this?
Alternatively, is there a way to build a homepage using blocks without the need to have the latest articles at the bottom?

Yeah on a single post view I can use textbox in the widget and that works 100%
But when I am on the homepage I cannot put the shortcode inside there. Just doesn’t show up.
Ok I managed to fix it. But I have another question. How do you change the Home Breadcrumb in bbPRess. I notice that the demo links it to the forum with all the categories/topics while my home breadcrumb links to my homepage.

Visitors can see it, but not click on it.
Other thing : i have removed the Date on my posts, but the placeholder still appears empty in the slider… how can i fix?

Do you want a full page width without sidebar. Use a blank template, a homepage – blank if you want a full width page.

I just want a sidebar on the homepage. And I want the silly double slider to go away. I just want ONE Big slider. What am I doing wrong?

if I put the custom JS in the theme panel, the widget doesn’t work. If I relocate the JS to the theme and remove from the widget, and relocate the widget to the top of the sidebar, the widgets beneath it on post pages still disappear.
The underlying problem is that if I relocate this widget to the top of the sidebar, it doesn’t stop the other widgets from appearing on the sidebar under it on the homepage, but on POST pages it does. I just have no idea what the problem is.

I am using WordPress Popular Posts on my Newsmag site and I am not finding a way how to put a widget on the homepage with the visual composer.
The plugin provides a php query function like this ( <?php wpp_get_mostpopular( ‘header=”Popular Posts”‘ ); ?> )
But I don’t know how to put in on my homepage with my visual composer.
Has anyone a way to do this?

I have installed a plugin called Facebook Comments (https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-comments-plugin/). The plugin is working but it is being displayed in the wrong location. It is appearing at the bottom of the post, above the author box, related posts and sharing options. I would rather the comments appear underneath these (like it does with the default comments system).
Also, on my homepage I want to use the Big Grid: see http://www.monged.com/
The issue is that I want more posts to be displayed and the infinite scroll. Is this possible please.

I can do it all on the single post pages but not on the homepage. What do I do?

I added a Vimeo playlist to my homepage and now my background isn’t showing. When I click on an individual post, the background will show there. However, it’s just a standard cream color background on the homepage.
Please advise.
I wanted to use a static homepage in Customize (where you put the site title/ tagline) instead of having the defaut homepage but customize is completly empty (even when deactivating all plugins)

This happens because you use the “homepage -with articles list” template and the second sidebar which appears at the bottom of the page is the sidebar for the latest articles section which uses it’s own sidebar as the one from the top.
You can remove it/or change it by editing your homepage and setting the latest articles section to full width or chose another sidebar for it, liken this: http://screencast.com/t/oIx0wssF
To avoid duplication you can use a custom sidebar for each section.

Not quite sure what you want to do but if you want to add posts or articles located and linking to other site’s on your homepage, I’m afraid that the theme doesn’t have an option for that. You could try to find and use a plugin for it.
