Hi Marius,

Thanks for your reply.

I tried the suggestion but it still cannot work.

Don’t know why. It still moves me back to the Homepage whenever I tried to direct to the next page.

Hello,

I see you have a gray background on homepage and that is on all pages on your site.
Is everything ok now?

Thanks for the message and sorry for long delay!

Hi tagdiv,

I have a problem that I cannot turn to the next page of article list on the homepage. When I try to go to the next page, it keeps moving me back to the homepage (1st page).

Can you show me how to solve this problem? Here is my website, you can try.
Problem: Whenever I try to go to http://appwall.vn/page/2/ or http://appwall.vn/page/3/, it moves me back to the homepage http://appwall.vn.

Thanks so much in advance.

Best regards.

Hello,
thanks for the encouragements ;). I’ve added this issue to the public tracker. We will try to implement an option for this.

I did set a background picture from Customize but I thought that should apply site wide not only the homepage. Here’s the link: http://www.gamesmatic.com/category/reviews/

Tnx alot

Hello,

Only edit the page and select the layout like here: http://screencast.com/t/d4xNs5Wu3 use a template that has article list (like homepage – article list)

Hi lovely themebuilders! I’m in love with newspaper Although i have been spending a good couple hours to figure out why my

” latest post’ pagination (on the index) isn’t working?

I’m using category/postname permalinks, i have tested disabling all plugins

Also when i create a block with themebuilder or with a widget and i pick ”Popular 7 days or Popular posts, or featured”” Nothing shows up.

Same with widget. This leaves me a homepage full with just’ latest posts’ and no pagination.

-latest post pagination
– Popular/featured posts ( I do have views on posts from visitors and myself)

Enthousiasticly waiting for your/a reply!

I do agree with you, Newspaper is one of the best looking themes out there and I totally dig the reponsiveness on different screen sizes. I’ve had the opportunity to try out different “premium” themes, which were a nightmare to customise. This is by far the best modern theme that I’ve tried.

Bit more refining and it will beat anything else out there.

Hey guys,

I encountered a small problem and I can’t locate the issue. No matter what background I apply to the theme, that background works ONLY on the homepage, the category pages (and any post page) override it, even if I set a specific background to that category.

Let’s say I’ve added a red background to the category X, once I visit that category page, the background is red but it changes immediately after 1 second.

Any help is appreciated.

Actually, Marius from tagDiv *did* put the instructions in his reply to the original query. So far everybody at tagDiv has been doing pretty well in replying and responding to fixes for a work in progress. They are doing a tremendous job; and I particularly admire them for doing a very hard thing with modern responsive design — I know, we tried to build our own similar to this recently and literally lost some hair over it. Even for a static B2B site we’re redoing (our main site that pays the bills), dealing with responsive + HTML5 + PageSpeed + CSS/js optimization is a nightmare to “do it right.” I’ve suffered a LOT of poor coding, bloated frameworks on top of WordPress that get abandoned or won’t update, custom panels that break, and hideous custom hooks that modify WP dbases with additional fields that are not needed, and won’t go away when changing themes, etc. — So far these folk are doing a GREAT job, in my opinion, so be sure to show them the love whenever possible. Just sayin’.

Awesome! many thanks for your instructions, I will give it a go and I’ll let you how I got on.

Authors, take note of how customer service should look like.

I would also recommend adding a folder called /mods/ in your root for the theme, and put backups of your mod files there (meaning the files you make mods to – put the MODIFIED versions in there). This is a handy reminder when you go to do a manual update via FTP, to go “oh. duh. I need to over-write the new files with my mod files…”

Obviously, child theme support for these elements via functions.php would be preferable, but I haven’t gotten that far.

look in

/theme/includes/app/modules/

open td_module_1.php

uncomment: $buffy .= $this->get_author();

=============

it just occurred to me this morning that one could uncomment the same element on other modules.

Presumably with the hook in there, they could add this as an “option” toggle as they do with the get_commentsAndViews …

simchris

HI, iOSPortalSK
you need to comment out the line in the module as noted in Marius’ prior reply, at least for now. Note this mod only works on adding byline to the post page, not any of the “modules” for the indexes.

See his prior image, above in this thread

–snip–

Just de-comment this line. In Module 1 is for post. http://screencast.com/t/kB49r8NgH

Hi Chris,

Would you consider sharing your modification, as it seems the authors of this theme just ignored us.

Thanks,
Lukas

simchris

I went ahead and modified the module 1 file and it works. Thanks.

simchris
tagDiv Member

To clarify:
for us, we MUST HAVE the byline on the actual posts … regardless of any functionality on categories, tags, homepage, or other blocks.

ALL articles should have byline at top as the author box traditionally is intended to be an “also ran” for a mini-bio about the author, and not to identify who authorized the story. With a 3,200 word article, the byline needs to be at top to clearly identify the AUTHOR of an article.

Willing to pay to get this done!
