I installed the sports theme and uploaded my own logo with proper dimensions, but the default sports logo remains. The Sports theme uses Header Style 6. When I switch to Default Header style, my logo works fine, but when I switch Header Style 5 or 6, the Sports logo comes back.
I’ve saved and reuploaded several times, cleared caches, tried different browsers, etc. all with no luck.
Any ideas?
Is it possible to update the theme without reinstalling the theme?

UPDATE –I Realized I needed to unzip that file, and indeed I found the correct file to upload to WordPress and it worked fine. Here’s the file that you upload: Newsmag.zip
I do have one question. I see this file in the folder: patch_2.3.5_2.3.6 Do I just upload those files (via ftp, for example) to the server? Or are those files already included in the latest version — which I purchased and downloaded today.
BTW I installed the demo (Tech News demo) and it looks really great. So many features!

Hi, I have the same problem with Visual Composer, the page can’t load VC, the one thing I see of VC is the circle turning, thats all. I deactivated, deleted, reuploaded and activated. Nothing to do.

Hello. I just downloaded and installed Newspaper on WordPress 4.5, but the Home seems “broken”, like banners desaligned and some other stuff.
I saw other comments about the problem, but I already have the latest version of visual builder and a brand new WordPress installation.
Can you guys help me?

Agreed. We just completed this upgrade path. What we did however to make future updates easier is install subversion control and document what we changed… so here’s hoping that tagDiv will provide more details when they make upgrades so people who have deeper customization can apply updates a bit easier.

After migrating from GoDaddy to another true hosting company, we have an issue with Newspaper template.
We’ve already deleted and re-uploaded all files from this template and reinstalled wordpress from scratch but we can’t see Disqus working on our theme
If we change to another one , Disqus is there working, otherwise with Newspaper nothing happens, we can’t see Disqus there..
What i’m I probably missing?

Hello….
Right I added this onto my website to try help it out. Had great reviews. When it was on, it breaks the website. When you remove it, it completely breaks it. The link to the Plugin is here https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/remove-query-strings-from-static-resources/
Now I have tried everything. Restore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the theme. I have edited the individual files to default and still nothing.

First you need to install font awesome 4 menus and then read the documentation for it as they have a list of all the icons provided by the plugin and their implementation method: http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/

I use the Envato WordPress Toolkit to update the theme. But it doesn’t update VC.
When I go to td_theme_plugins/Install premium plugins it shows VC as Installed and Active
Are you saying I have to download the total THEME package, extract and locate the plugin, and THEN upload it? Surely it should update directly based on the theme?
Reminding you that in the current situation I do not have the plugin installed earlier.

And where do you install? In the folder includes / theme Plugins Newspaper or wordpress plugins session?

Please make sure updated the theme following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ also deactivate the child theme if you’re using then test again.
You can also try to make a new wp-install on a sub-domain or on your local computer and check if the problem is still there.

Dear Friends,
I just purchased and installed your theme on a new site i’m using as a mockup. My eventual plan is to have it replace my company website.
For the first few days everything was working wonderfully. However, with the update to 4.5 and the update to the latest version of the theme, something wonky has happened to the Visual Composer Plugin.
I went through the steps of downloading the latest version of the theme and reinstalled the latest version of the plugin but this isn’t solving the problem (yet)
Essentially, I don’t have access to any of the Visual Composer buttons when I create a page or post. When I click not on the icon, it simply kicks me out to purchase Visual Composer separately.
When you visit the site (new.teachercast.net) You can see that everything looks great and that that the pages where I have included VC elements also work (http://new.teachercast.net/speaking/) however, I’m not seeing how to fix the issue where I can’t continue to create or edit these pages without the site kicking me out to purchase the plugin.
BTW: I LOVE THIS THEME!!!
Also …. on a side note: I can’t seem to update any of the user data for my authors. When I go into add any social info or bio info for the users, it simply ignores it when I hit save. Is this something you could also help me out with? I’m not sure who to turn to for this.
I can certainly create an admin account for you if needed.

Please make sure you installed the theme correctly by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
You can also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files to rule out a plugin conflict.

@EN site Visual Composer plugin comes bundled with our theme and you don’t have to pay for it. Make sure you install the plugin from theme’s path and ignore the activation message. Basically when you bought our theme you also bought a license for all plugins included.

I am not sure why this happens as it’s not an error relate with the theme, it’s related with your wp-install. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test again. Also check if your permisions on uploads folder are set correct.
