Updating from Newspaper 7 to Newspaper 10 and the license/activate option does not appear

When I clicked on activate theme, it states “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

Tried the manual delete theme and then install new theme (manual and auto). None work.

The theme always shows as Newspaper 7 on the themes page.

Odd challenge here, and I hope I can get some pointers.

My site Wise Living Magazine (https://wiselivingmagazine.co.uk) was approved for AdSense, has a status of ‘Ready’ and I have created and placed ad units using Newspaper’s Theme panel > Ads. I have pasted the ad code into the ad spots (Header etc).

However, ads are only showing up in WordPress Previews of posts – but not the actual post itself when live! So far, no ads have been appearing on the live site, but they do appear when previewing a post (new or an existing post).

Could it be because I am deferring JS and CSS? Is there a bug with the Ad placements in Newspaper? Could it be caching? Am I being too impatient (but why would ads show in preview)?

Things to know:

Account activated 24 hours ago; ad units created 12 hours ago
Site status is ‘Ready’
I have purged the caches on CloudFlare (CDN) and LiteSpeed (WordPress cache)
No ad blockers
Tried incognito mode, ensured Javascript active
Checked script in <header> tags, checked ads.txt file
Plenty of traffic (>1k sessions so far)
Installed and using Site Kit

A couple of questions, please:

Key question: why are ads showing in Preview but not on the live site?
Could deferring JS, using LazyLoad etc be the culprit (though the same settings apply to Post Previews). Anyone else experience this with Newspaper?

Any ideas? Would love to actually serve the ads!

I have a website https://www.comunidadxbox.com with Newspaper installed (last version) but I have a problem. In the homepage don´t appear the last article publish. Only appear the last article publish if the user is logged.

Also, if the user clean the cache (CTRL + F5) appear the last articles also appear the problem if I use a private browser.

The plugin that I use to the cache is WP ROCKET, but the problem persist if desactivate the plugin.

Could you help me to solve the problem?

I’m working in a staging site with a new install of Newspaper (10.3.4) and plug-ins. I cannot delete any page items from the template. I can add items, but cannot delete those same items. The screen goes gray and this is where (usually) the confirmation screen comes up, asking if you are sure you want to delete the item in question. It never appears. Not running a firewall. I’ve deleted and reinstalled tagdiv composer and cloud library plug-ins. CDN is turned off and cache has been flushed. Please advise.

Hello I have Newspaper 8 installed, and I am trying to update 2 images in an ad location (before de menu and after the menu) and I just cant find it. Actually the one before the menu is the one that I found, the other one exist only in the rendered html but can’t find it in the admin area.

In the rendered html I could find this:

I installed Gourmet Pro Demo without content and all Templates are editable (what they should) except for the Footer:

I installed default pro of newspaper theme and i want to use empty areas on left and right. But i cant drag anything to those places. How can i use left and right sides of this theme? I tried to add sidebar but i couldn’t make it.There is only one row box on the center.

I have installed the Medicine Pro demo and want the categories to have different colors. Under Theme Panel > Categories > Per category settings > CATEGORY TAG COLOR ON POST PAGE I have changed the color. But this does not change anything. Where or how must this be set for each category?

Sometimes my article on a mobile phone is opening in a lite version, which I don’t want because when it’s loaded in the lite version all images from the post got disappeared.
How can I fix this issue?

I have just installed the theme on a blank wp instance and installed the demo “medicine pro” as well.
As soon as I open the file “Category Template – Medicine PRO” in the cloud templates I get the error:

Errors at columns elements: 3(models) : 4(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)

How I can fix it?

I installed the theme without replacing content. My posts were all retained and placed across the homepage, but all the featured images disappeared. I tried the regenerate thumbnails plugin and completed the regeneration process but still no featured images. In the posts I also cannot see featured images on the document sidebar.

Is there a fix? I have hundreds of post and would very much prefer not to manually replace these images.

I am using .. theme and have YOAST SEO plugin installed. Shared thumbnail images are being sent on Facebook and Twitter. but Only WhatsApp has problems with shares.

Hi everyone!

I’ve just installed Newspaper X on my site, and it’s really awesome.

Is there any way to set a highlighted video on the upper part of the website?
The idea is to show users a live video from YouTube when a breaking news appears but then delete that video in order to show the website as always.

It would be great if that change could be made by a newbie user with no coding skills
