Hi all,
In that case, you should not make an overwrite to your old files sorry! You need to completely remove your old folder and add it the new one. You need to make a clean install from scratch to achieve good theme results. Please check the B section from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and strictly follow the steps from there if you want to achieve better theme results.
Thank you!

I am coming to see where the problem lies.
I have someone who posts for me on http://www.bayonline.co.nz and it seems that they have installed a plugin ‘WPBakery Page Builder’. TagDiv Composer causes images to be cropped off (specifically on the right-hand sidebar of the magazine Bay Waka cover, and the link behind that), so I disabled TagDiv a while back to correct that problem.
From this experience, it seems that we need to disable ‘WPBakery Page Builder’ and instead reply on TagDiv Composer. Is that right?
I tried turning off WPBakery Page Builder and the site broke immediately.
Do you have any knowledge or experience with what I am talking about, enough to state your advice?
Thank you.
Regards, Antoon
Hi,
Please make sure that the theme was installed correctly -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-install-newspaper-theme/
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If there is still a problem, please provide me a link were I can inspect this problem.
Thank you!
Thanks for your prompt reply Catalin
I’ll look into your advice. It suddenly occurred to me to reinstall the previous version of the theme from December and this restored the site functionality. Unfortunately, I took 24 hour hours of playing around with disabling and enabling plug-ins without success before coming to that conclusion.
I’ll read from your links later when I have time and see if I can get the new version to work correctly.
Thanks, Antoon

Hello,
The new update moved the theme files and folder structure so you must delete the old version of your theme before updating the new version Overwriting the old theme with the latest version will cause the theme to break as you will have duplicates in the theme files.
Please delete the entire Newspaper theme folder from your install and install it again.
Thank you!
Hello,
In such cases you need to make sure you clean your install of any at all version of the newspaper theme. Access your site using the file manager on your host or via ftp and delete any at all newspaper theme that is present in your wp-content/themes folder
Then upload the new theme version via WordPress. Make sure you update the plugins as well after you install the new theme version.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please update to version 9.7.1 and test without any third party plugins. I have just tested this on our installs and there is no issue with the mega menu on safari.
Thank you!

Should I do it with the TagDiv plugins enabled, and amp enabled? Or should I uninstall amp and then reinstall after those steps?

Hi,
We do not negate that there can be some problems, but we can not recreate it on our installs to see what caused this problem, we’ll need to investigate this problem on some websites that have this problem; please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Also in new update v9.7.1 we tried to fix as many problems we could.
@Onofriomarcomancini If you need a refund, you can make a request here and we will provide it: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new
Thank you!
Hello,
We are not getting this on any of our testing platforms so we cannot recreate it. If it was a theme issues, we would also have been able to detect it, but since this is not the case, I suspect there is an external cause for this.
Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Alternatively, if you did not replace all of the theme files we recommend you do so now. Delete all of your theme file structure as it was changed in the latest version.
Make the update the proper way by deleting your theme and installing the latest version as shown here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please check this guide if you need to change the file permissions: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-fix-file-and-folder-permissions-error-in-wordpress/
Also try to install it manually by using the wordpress plugins section and pressing the add new button. Install the plugin using the zip file found in the main theme package you downloaded from envato.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please notice that all of your data should have to be loaded into your database if they were created by you and not edited from such a demo with dummy data. It’s very good if you have a backup and it’s recommended to do it all the time before updating the theme to avoid losing all of your data. You should simply install what demo you want, in your case, is talking about Old Fashioned from the Demos section. Also, you can use it with or without dummy content. If you will choose the first way, you need to edit your homepage elements using the Td Composer like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/exxKsCxVqxYm As you can see, all of the elements are there and these can be set up with our page builder.
Regarding on WP Bakery, please notice that we do not recommend using it to our demos because all of these were created with TD Composer and not with WP Bakery plugin and might appears some issues, sorry! If the problem is still there, please let us know and provide some useful screenshots with your errors encountered so we can identify them.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for oyur message!
Hello,
Please try to access the plugins section of the theme and press the update button from there. If this also does not work, you will have to install the plugins manually via the wordpress plugins area or as there could be a server issue blocking access to the theme automatic plugin install. If nothing else works, simply delete all theme plugins and use the wordpress plugins area. press the add new plugin and install the plugin versions that come with the latest theme package you downloaded from envato.
Thank you!
Hello,
Which plugin are you trying to install? TagDiv composer or WPBakery page builder?
Try installing the plugin via ftp: https://www.wonderplugin.com/wordpress-tutorials/how-to-manually-install-a-wordpress-plugin-via-ftp/
Thank you!
Hi,
Is possible to have some custom code or some plugin in your theme, you can try this on a fresh install.
Thank you for your understanding!
I purchased newspaper 9 theme a week ago and ever since I’ve installed it I’ve had continuous problems with my website. I am not satisfied and you have the worst support system that I’ve ever seen. I do not like the theme and still unhappy. Please return my money.
Thank you! Installation with FTP was successful. I am now wondering what can I do with the content of themeforest-9512331-newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper.zip, which contain Newsmag-tf (inside you have a folder plugin for example).
I have uploaded the content from themeforest-9512331-newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper-wordpress-theme, but I don’t have all the plugins now (missing official AMP for WP)
