Hi Hassan Shafique, until now there were no reports about slouch a situation, but this is not exclude.
But since many client want to have different versions on mobile I think that if the website it is correctly indexed there will be no problems.
Also the mobile theme plugin is just a solution, you do not need to use it, if you want you can keep the responsive version or you can use the mobile page template. Using one of those you can keep the desktop design and blocks.
I hope this will help you to find the right mobile version for you!
Thank you!

Hello again,
I also attach the answer of a community member in cloudflare forum.
<><><><><><><><><><>
Hi Mike,
I’m assuming you’re using Cache Everything. In that case, Cloudflare will cache the page based on its URL, and deliver that to any device that requests that URL. So if you theme has any adjustment that changes content based on device, this would only work if you turn off Cache Everything on Cloudflare, making each request reach the origin.
For separate mobile/desktop versions to work properly, you’d need to create them under separate URLs, such that the mobile version would be somehow distinguishable from the desktop one:
https://mobile.example.com/some-page/
or
https://www.example.com/mobile/some-page/ > mobile
or
https://www.example.com/some-page/?device=mobile
So you’d need to contact the developers of either your theme or cache plugin to ask them if they have any way to separate the mobile version into another subdomain, subdirectory, or query string.
If you opt for the subdomain, you can set Mobile Redirect on Cloudflare by visiting:
https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/speed/optimization
An inline JavaScript could be used to perform the mobile redirect based on device, if you only have the options of subdirectory or query string. Since an inline JS would be cached along with the HTML, it would be present in every page and only act after being on the device.
Then of course there’s the possibility of using Cloudflare Workers to control the redirect and caching. Workers is a paid service, but it does have a trial version. Please check the documentation for examples, tutorials, etc.

Hello,
With the last updated Newspaper theme 11.2, I have enable the mobile home page to arrange the elements to my needs when visitors uses their mobile to visit my website.
In production site I use WP fastest Cache and this cache plugin uses a separate caching for mobile themes so its works great with Newspaper theme, it caches BOTH Desktop AND mobile page template without many errors.
With many trials and errors I figure out that Cloudflare enabled websites are much faster than sites with simple caching plugins like mines. So I created a staging website (https://exclusiveweb.gr/) cloned from production and started to implement the cloudflare integration. This thing works but because of cloudflare maybe does not have a separate mobile cashing crawler, after I purge the caching, when I first connect with mobile smartphone after the purge, it keeps the mobile theme cached and it shows the mobile template to BOTH Desktops AND mobile phones. If I first connect with my desktop it keeps the desktop to both devices etc. so I have all the component in the wrong order…
I did a little research with other caching plugins like WP-rocket and I still have the same issue with cloudflare, the plugin does not understand the separation between the 2 templates and it keeps showing me the first cached page according with the device it connects first to the website after the purge.
I want to inform you that https://exclusiveweb.gr/ is a testing/staging environment and we could make all the necessary tests to it until we find a solution to a trouble I think it concerns many of your clients!
Kind regards,
Mike
Hi I am new in blogging field. My question is, In mobile theme we convert pages into mobile version and also in homepage we get only 3 features and latest post. Can this effect SEO. I mean when Google crawl website. It find same page in two different version and same in homepage where we create different categories block in web version and in mobile version it find homepage only in latest post.
Hello!
When you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can try both options because the score differs from one user to another and choose the one that gives you the best score.
if you choose the mobile page, then you can use tagDiv Analyzer to remove the unused CSS.
The mobile theme has a simple design “the mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)”.
Hope this help you!
Thank you!
Hello!
It depends which option you use, because we have 3:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
The fastest solution for mobile is the 3rd one the Mobile Theme plugin. This one it has its own design, so it can be sure you have the optimal number of designed elements(basic ones) on the pages and also, you can optimize it to improve your speed. The fewer elements you have on the page, the smaller in size the page is and the CSS is smaller too.
Unfortunately, there is no button to hit and your page speed is very high. You need to try to optimize your website too and choose the fastest solution which suits you the best.
Thank you!
Hello!
AMP is faster and works better only with the Mobile Theme plugin. The design is looking pretty similar as our plugin. Install AMP and Mobile Theme, then just navigate the website on your mobile phone because the design will apply automatically. For more information, you can check our documentation:

Hello,
Thank you for a quick replay.
I am using latest theme version on all three web sites.
I read most of links you wrote.
What is strange to me is that desktop version has PIS 90-96 and mobile PSI is 60-70.
To me it seems like some problem in serving mobile version.
Maybe mobile image since Largest Contentful Paint for mobile is 6.6. even with CDN.
I don’t expect support for speed but I think this is related to serving mobile version to visitors?
What is your experience? Should mobile version be as fast as desktop version regarding theme?
Hello Anamaria thank you for your advice. My website is made up of nearly all posts and very few pages, so it’s the post that need optimising most. Do you think I should use the mobile theme as opposed to the mobile page?
I’ll follow your guide for the other optimisations. I use Ezoic for some of the optimisations as well so I’ll see if I can find a way to make them both work.
thank you
Hello,
I just checked your score and you have a good score on the desktop => https://www.screencast.com/t/FqYrcCyEL, but for mobile, you need to make some customization, you can use for mobile, mobile theme or mobile page
Also, please check this topic which I hope can help you https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/website-speed-issue-2/
Thank you!
We use the mobile theme in addition to the normal theme. In the mobile theme, under “Latest Articles”, we have set the “Limit Posts Number” setting to 3.
This now causes the following errors:
For example, we have 31 posts in one cateogory.
That means in mobile theme we have 11 paging pages (3 x 10 + 1 = 31).
In the normal theme this setting is not set, so on a category page 14 articles are displayed. That means here there are only 3 paging pages (2 x 14 +3 = 31).
We now get 404 errors when someone calls a paging page like “/page/4” which works in the mobile theme but not in the normal one.
What setting can we set so that this error does not occur anymore?
Hello!
Unfortunately, AMP is faster and works better only with Mobile Theme plugin.

I haven’t checked my email for 2 days.. When are you going to solve my problem?
Please help me to solve the problem.. I am late in replying to the email, so please use all methods such as messenger, landline, remote, etc. to solve it.. If you want, I will pay the hourly fee..
I have 4 homepages.. 3 of them are “mobile theme” malfunction. And since I am a dealer, I have to purchase 4 or more of your themes in the future, but this is difficult.
Hello, please can you point me in the right direction about what I should do to pass core web vitals on this web page. The difference between mobile and desktop are drastic across the whole website. Do you know what Might help improve my speed score / without having to switch themes. Many thanks
Hi muktipolice, I see that it is the same problem like the one from this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-error-6/ can we please continue the discussion only in one topic, or via email.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
What I can suggest for mobile version is to try the mobile page and mobile theme plugin and see with which one you get the best results.
Also if you use the mobile page then the css Analyzer will apply on it too.
Also only the images that are set as background are set in “span” tag, for example this one -> https://i.imgur.com/I2GrWGJ.png and the problem can be that the css is load latter, if you want to have img instead of spam use standard blocks (block 1 to 25).
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello,
I have big difference in mobile and desktop PageSpeed Insights.
PageSpeed Insights for desktop version is above 90. It can go to 95 and even 98.
At the same time PageSpeed Insights for mobile version is much lower – 55 to 70.
On two sites I have cloud template and on third I use default template.
I expected cloud template for mobile will give speed boost.
I know speed depends on web hosting server but on one site I use CDN and on one I have semi-dedicated hosting.
It is strange that at the same measurement in PageSpeed Insights there is always same difference between mobile and desktop page version.
For example:
Mobile version:
Largest Contentful Paint: 6.6 s
Total Blocking Time: 330 ms
Time to Interactive: 6.0 s
First Contentful Paint: 2.8 s
Desktop version:
Largest Contentful Paint: 1.0 s
Total Blocking Time: 10 ms
Time to Interactive: 1.1 s
First Contentful Paint: 1.0 s
That is for site with Cloud template and CDN.
Is that normal? Do you have any suggestion what to check in theme?
On site that is using non-Cloud template I don’t use mobile theme version.
I plan to cange that site to Cloud template.
GT metrix is great and is above 90. It goes up to 98%.
Thank you
Hi atish20,
Normal for amp version if you are using the amp plugin and mobile theme with one of those options https://i.imgur.com/HSGYWio.png it should work without problems. If those are your settings and you have some problems, please make a test and use only theme plugins to see if the problem persist.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please let me know what version do you use for mobile.
If you have the mobile responsive you need to select the viewport on phone and change the logo, if you have a mobile page you need to convert the header or if you have the mobile theme plugin activate, then you need to set the logo in Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> Header like in this video => https://www.screencast.com/t/mo8XGUl1cD
Hope this help you!
Thank you!
Hi Joaquim Oliveira, I checked your website related to this problem https://ibb.co/4PbwSJ1 and this is the amp version, usually this situation it appears when you are suing only the amp plugin without mobile theme and the amp option is not set on “Reader” -> https://i.imgur.com/wNHv6Aj.png
Please check this and let me know the results!
The PC version is normally displayed like this.

But, in the mobile version, the mobile theme does not work like this, and the screen is broken due to the PC theme operation.

Please help the mobile theme to work properly when connected from mobile.
Hi turma99, if I understand correctly, you have an image that you want to be set as top bar for your amp version. Now the easiest way it is to set it in one of the ads files like Vlad suggested or in this places https://i.imgur.com/zYxTAsO.png this is the only solution to set the code in theme settings, if this is not what you want, then you need to set it in theme files (please notice that when the theme will be updated those changes from theme files will be removed). The file path it is wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/header-amp.php
Thank you!
