Hello,
That is not amp, That is jetpack.
Please disable the mobile theme of jetpack and it should be all fine.
Thank you!
Hello,
The Mobile theme plugin doesn’t compatible with the multisite installation of WordPress. But here is a 3 lines code to make Mobile Theme Plugin fully compatible with WordPress multisite installation.
if (is_multisite()) {
$main_dir_path = $main_theme->theme_root . '/themes' . get_template_directory();
}
Copy above code and open the wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/td_mobile_theme.php file in your editor, the find 196 number line and paste the right after this “$main_dir_path = $main_theme->get_template_directory();” line.
Here is an example: http://i.imgur.com/ITO0P1a.png
I shared this code because TagDiv doesn’t concerned about the multisite feature I think. I hope this code will save your day 😀
Hello michaelcates,
Please check the default behavior for Big Grid 2 on mobile, like this -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-2/ If your Big Grid 2 behavior it is different by Big Grid 2 from our demo preview, it seems that you have a problem on your side. Try to disable all of your untested plugins and install only the items which come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. Also, if you have the same wrong behavior for your Big Grid after you have followed my above advice, please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it.
Thanks for the message!
I was playing around with two AMP plugins AMP by Automatic and
AMP for WP
I seem to have destroyed the mobile version of the theme by installing them, it’s stuck on AMP and won’t revert by uninstalling them. Deleted all caches and saved permalinks.
Is there anyway of reverting the changes without resorting to a backup? Thanks.
Here’s what the mobile theme is stuck like
Hi,
If that is what you want, you could try a code like this one for example, it will change the the block-quote paragraph to capitalized (or how you want it to display)
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ee6FFq13eT
Or maybe normal text
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Rc9cpScMoYuv
The code must be entered in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS in order to be applied only on mobile, when using the mobile theme plugin
.td-post-content blockquote p {
text-transform: none;
}
Please correct me if I misunderstand what you wanted.
Thanks
Hi,
That should not happen, and it means something is not functioning as it should. The mobile version should only be displayed on mobile, that is the way it was designed. This issue happens only when conflicts happen between plugins or with some caching plugins.
Making the mobile version display on desktop is not possible on demand. It would require major changes in the theme even if it were.
It would be best if you would try and use the theme properly, for the best results. Try using this caching plugin instead
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thanks
Hello Scumbag,
If you want to change the style for your all block titles, notice that you can use a bit of CSS code to do this. For example, try the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area and check the results.
The code is ->
.block-title span{
background-color:red!important;
color:black;
}
Regarding on mobile main menu, notice that it cannot be different than the main menu on the desktop, sorry! If you want to add some links only for the mobile menu, you should implement it yourself through the code because the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to do this, sorry!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
I’d love to be able to use Big Grid 2 layout for the featured posts but there seems to be an issue with the mobile layout. it shows 3 posts with the last being cut in half? Is there anyway in the theme to update so the mobile version just shows 1 post? Or to be able to use a different Grid layout just for mobile?
Thanks!
Hey guys,
I’m enjoying your theme a lot so far, so compliments for that! A quick question in between, do you have a good way to disable the ‘More Articles’ box on mobile devices? I would like to show it on desktops only (or at least on devises with screens bigger than 768px. I don’t really like hiding it with CSS, so I would like to know if there is a good alternative you can recommend.
Thanks in advance for the information and have a great weekend!
WordPress creates multiple sizes for anything you upload to the media manager – unrelated to any theme. You can set those sites in the WP theme panel — see WordPress.org for more info on how the base functionality of WordPress handles media uploads for more info.
You *can* hack WP via functions to disable that. I think our solution the past 10 years was to set the WP media default sizes in WP settings to same size as those we upload and to the common ones used in theme to not end up with duplicates. Meaning if all the images we upload are 600×450, then our default medium size was 600×450, and the small size was one of the module sizes for sidebar.
WordPress creates multiple images for mobile — for the “srcset” function, and you can see this if you look at your page source ‘view source’ in your browser, for a post.
If you want zero thumbs/srcset images for images placed further down in posts/pages, you can simply upload those files via FTP to an image folder, and place the actual URL into the post using normal html.
<img src="https://mysite/images/my-photo-700x335.jpg" alt="" width="700" height="335" />
Welcome to WordPress! 🙂
( I don’t work here. )
Hello,
I’ve buyed the theme recently, but the file “td-mobile-plugin.zip” doesn’t exist in my pack. Can you send me this plugin?
Thanks
Hi Tagdiv Team,
I am having a problem with my site when it comes to the mobile version. It was functioning properly in PHP 5.6 but when I upgraded to PHP 7.0 my mobile theme breaks while my desktop version runs very smooth. I have diabled all plugins and eliminated Cloudflare cache from the mix but still have mobile side of the site either pull up white screen, pull up half page and freeze to the point i cant reload. I have tried to use the developr tools in chrome to isolate the error but it freeze at time bedfore error is displayed. Might you be able to assist me as to where I can start or better yet, if possible, isolate the problem so I can fix it.

Hi,
I am trying to implement the ad tag of contentignite. The same works fine on the desktop while on Mobile, we can’t scroll below the image. No difference is noted if I disable the Mobile Theme plugin and access the site on a mobile device. Any help?
Hi,
You could try the solution from this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/change-mobile-theme-font/
Load the font like mentioned, and apply it with CSS for the needed elements.
Thanks
Hello,
1) Sorry but custom ad spots can only be added on pages. The loop templates do not have ad spots in our theme. It can only be done with an ad plugin that can provide such functionality or by code customization.
2) Please add this code in the theme panel-> custom css box:
.td_ajax_load_more_js{
width:100%;
background-color:black;
}
3)Each big grid has it’s own style on mobile. Please check the mobile version of the different grids in our theme: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
You can change the current grid from the top right where it says 12 bog grids.
4) You can change the module to one that does not have a red more tag, or change the pagination to a standard one without read more. For categories, this can be set from the per category settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/xwQbbYkbh
For the tag template, the settings can be found here:
https://www.screencast.com/t/tgd9ed4UC
Thanks.
Hi,
The top menu is not displayed on mobile by default. You could make it display with a code like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WJP391Xbb
You must enter the code in the Theme panel->Custom code->Advanced CSS in the phones section, if you decide to use it
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
text-align:center;
}
Thanks
Hi,
Main primary horizontal menu items and search field are not clickable when I access my website on smartphone. I do not use mobile theme plugin yet. All works fine on Desktop. But when I access website via phone, and try to click on main menu icon to expand the items or click on a “search” icon on main horizontal menu, nothing happens! How to fix this bug ?
Hello monoazulweb,
Please keep in mind that the Mobile Theme does not recognize any TD or Visual Composer shortcodes and that’s why blocks are not rendered on mobile theme. For more information about this feature, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks for the message!
Hello!
Is it okay to continue with a question here?
See, I was thinking that I want to have the logo stretch all the way up to the search button on mobile. Right now, the image is resized to 152x54px by the theme. Is there a way to make it go stretch all the way to the search button or will it look unnatural?
Thanks,
Miguel
Bingo! That last tip did the trick; I hadn’t been selecting the size in the media library.
I was able to take Style 10, customize it some to look like Style 3, and get the logo to the right size. Looks good in the browser and in the mobile theme as well. Thank you!
BTW — loving the theme. Still getting used to it, but already like it better than the other (paid) theme I had been using.
Hello,
I have a problem with the Mobile theme.
TagDiv blocks are not displayed within the Mobile pages, on the one hand.
Another problem is the use of Text Blocks. TagDiv Composer gives me the option of writing block text, however, it never loads the button to save the text or edit.
If you had a way of posting in private then I’d easily provide the URL. In the meantime I’d have to wait to create other dummy content which I’d feel comfortable sharing in public.
At the moment it’s NOT THAT important considering how well mobile works sans the mobile theme.
Will either follow-up on this thread later or post anew.
I understand that. I know it would be impossible for you to test with every plugin. Testing with popular NEWS Site Style plugin should be done though as the theme do not provide all the functionality or features a news site would use. I could think of a ton of features that could be implemented.
Anyway thats not what this is about. The problem with that color not carrying over to a mobile device is theme related. I have tested by eliminating ALL plugins with just one click deactivation.
So now that we know its the theme how is it fixed
Hello team tagDiv,
Google AdSense doing a great job by providing various ad units to boost earning. But unfortunately, Newspaper’s ad panel does not support most of them.
For Google AdSense, theme adds its own conditions to the code like this:
<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script><div class="td-g-rec td-g-rec-id-content_top ">
<script>
var td_screen_width = window.innerWidth;
if ( td_screen_width >= 1140 ) {
/* large monitors */
document.write('<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px" data-ad-client="ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXX" data-ad-slot="XXXXXXXXXX"></ins>');
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
}
if ( td_screen_width >= 1019 && td_screen_width < 1140 ) {
/* landscape tablets */
document.write('<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:inline-block;width:468px;height:60px" data-ad-client="ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXX" data-ad-slot="9450419862"></ins>');
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
}
if ( td_screen_width >= 768 && td_screen_width < 1019 ) {
/* portrait tablets */
document.write('<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:inline-block;width:468px;height:60px" data-ad-client="ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXX" data-ad-slot="9450419862"></ins>');
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
}
if ( td_screen_width < 768 ) {
/* Phones */
document.write('<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:inline-block;width:320px;height:100px" data-ad-client="ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXX" data-ad-slot="9450419862"></ins>');
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
}
</script>
</div>
and that’s the reason, matched contents ad, In-feed ads, in-article ads do not work correctly.

Some of them work correctly on a mobile theme (using td-mobile plugin).
This is how ad looks after using theme panel for ads:

Ads by adding direct code or using 3rd party plugin, for example, Simplest Adsense Ads Manager – By Crunchify

I tried adding matched ads and working fine but activating td-speed-booster plugin breaks the ads.
If possible add condition to disable those conditions. Talking about the responsiveness, almost all the ad units are responsive by default so they will work correctly on the all screen size.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are using the mobile theme plugin, this does not have any options to modify the font in the theme panel, at the moment
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If the mobile theme plugin is not active, the same content from desktop will be displayed all all devices. Fonts can be changed normally in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
If you need further help, please provide more details about what exactly you want to change, and I will try to help you. A link to your website where you want to make these changes or a useful screenshot, may be of help.
Thanks
