Hello, i really like the mobile theme, but i have 2 questions about it.
First i want to remove the social icons on the top of the screen.
Secound, i have a really important button (i made it by image in the sidebar, witch is linkink to contact form7 page) that is “send us your new”. That is important for a local news site, and we want to make it possible to users to use this option from mobile phones. When i enable your mobile theme, there is no sidebar after the posts, and there are only top 3 news on the top and then leatest posts. How can i change all this?

Hi Bogdan,

when do you say to try adrotate plugin and place the adrotate shortcode in the theme panel. Do you mean at the theme panel-> mobile ads to add there the shortcode from adrotate?

Thank you

Hi marius,

You can use a bit of CSS code if you want to hide the login for mobile mode. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td-menu-logout{
display:none;
}

Hope this helps!

Hello nano2408,

For more information about our Sort Order you can see at our documentation, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Please notice that the Featured Category is a category that is added automatically by our theme. You populate posts on the mobile theme grid by adding the posts in the “featured” category: http://screencast.com/t/XEpsK8Vd5FqR
Regarding on Editors Pick section fro Footer template style 1, please notice that it is just a simple block 7 which is sorted by Featured Category as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/bxQl9FfbWb2

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

I am unable to link my social media accounts with the buttons that show up in the top bar and in the menu on the mobile site.

I went to theme panel – social networks and added the link to my social media accounts for facebook and insta. However, when i click on the website it keeps opening http://www.mywebsite.com/<whatever i write in the social network box>

Thanks for the help.

Hello Bogdan,
Thank you for reply.

Yes.. I see but I still can’t understand this “Featured sorting thing”. Probably this is same what we see as “first three posts” on “TD mobile Theme plugin”. But how what is this featured sorting thing? I do have a category name called “Featured” but that’s something which I have created. So, it must not be the posts from this category.

Similarly what about “popular sorting” Is is all time popular, or popular for last 7 days ?

Please enlighten me on this. You may write here any tutorial or forum thread link that explains this.

Thanks,

Hello,

The mobile theme plugin indeed is a different theme. Please read this guide to learn about the mobile theme functionality: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Yes, but there is no such reference in our theme. I searched through all the theme files and there is no such code. I cannot provide any solution as i do not know where yoast adds the implementation. The mobile theme was not tested with any of the tested plugins of the main theme.

Thank you!

Hi,

Please uninstall and delete your current mobile theme plugin and install this one instead:
http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/td-mobile-plugin.zip
This should fix the issue.

Thank you!

Hello tollywoodfans,

If you want to change this size, please notice that you should edit the core files where the thumb is created, like td_config_mob.php and td_module_mob_1.php, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/5DisMjnU -> http://screencast.com/t/PMwnISMzW1KN Please notice that it is possible to break the theme layout on mobile if you want to change the structure of thumb.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your message!

Hello nano2408,

Please try to use the following code and place it in Theme panel to fix it that problem in the mobile version. Please notice that the thumb was set it to be 17 as value and that’s why you do not bring the good results in this.

.avatar-39{
float:left;width:39px;height:39px;border-radius:39px;margin:0 10px 5px 0;
}
header .td-module-meta-info{
height: 40px!important;
}

Thanks for your message!

Hello,

If you use the mobile theme, unfortunately there is no simple way of removing the footer. You can use this css though to do it:
@media(max-width:767px){
.td-mobile-footer-wrap{
display:none;
}}

Thank you!

Hello dritanleka,

Please keep in mind that our mobile version has a default behaviour which displays on the front page the following elements, like this -> at the top will be displayed a Big Grid will show 3 posts from Featured Category, then will be displayed a text will be added from Mobile editor in Visual Composer and at the bottom of the page will load the latest articles module. Please notice that the Mobile Theme do not recognise the Visual Composer shortcode. This is our new concept in the theme and this plugin has been designed to be very fast than the responsive mobile mode and that’s why it has these restrictions. For more information about our mobile theme, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
So, if you are unhappy with our mobile theme, you simply disable the mobile plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mobile mode.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,
Unfortunately this happens when you customize the theme and not do it properly. That is the mobile menu that was supposed to be hidden out of sight. It is now visible due to your modifications. This is why we do not recommend RTL customization and do not provide solutions in this matter as there are lots of things affected by the change of direction. It is not an easy customization to make. If it were, RTL would have been no problem in our theme.
Sorry but we cannot offer any help for this type of customization. If you cannot use our theme and you require rtl you can ask for a refund and we will provide it so you can choose a theme that can be used in a RTL environment.
Thank you!

Hello miknik,

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.4) and also, the latest version of required plugins that come bundled with our theme. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and install only them will come bundled with theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. For more information about our mobile theme, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello from Germany.

We have two little problems with the Newspaper-7-Theme.

The first problem we have with the td-pulldown-filter-display on the category-sites. The items in the category view obscure the pull-down menu.

For example go to:
https://ilovecycling.de/category/technik-produkte/
and activate the filter-function.

The second problem is the search-box on mobile phones (only the start-page):
The search function can not be clicked.

Please help us.

Currently, my theme is customized to show a small author image below post title on every single posts on desktop as well as it’s mobile responsive version.

But when I tried to the same when “TD mobile theme” was ON. It didn’t appear. SO, I made similar changes to Mobile theme.

I edited single.php file under mobile folder of newspaper theme, and replaced :

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_author();?>

with

	    <?php echo get_avatar(get_the_author_meta('ID', $post->post_author), 39) . $td_mod_single->get_author();?>

and then added this custom CSS code to mobile theme custom CSS setting:

.avatar-39{
float:left;width:39px;height:39px;border-radius:39px;margin:-12px 10px 5px 0;
}

The method exactly similar to what I did in case of desktop version.

But the result is this: https://i.snag.gy/XzT2YC.jpg

I am getting only top half of the author image. I tried some CSS tweaks but no successful. SO, I need your help to fix this.

Thank you.

This is how post title currently looks when TD Mobile theme plugin is enabled : https://i.snag.gy/AsyaNw.jpg

but I want it to look as it looks on Mobile-responsive version of desktop theme when TD Mobile theme plugin is OFF. Like this: https://i.snag.gy/PstgB3.jpg

I tried changing various font-settings for H1 in Style.CSS file under Mobile folder of Newspaper theme, but nothing happened. I was looking for “td-post-title” as shown by Google chrome Inspect console but couldn’t find it.

What should I do?

Thank you.

Hi all..

I’ve problem with fonts after minify css and js files.

For pagespeed I did some changes. Using child theme.

1. deleted import code from child theme style.css and moved main style.css content to child theme style.css.
2. moved font codes from header. and imported fonts child theme style.css file.
3. don’t use child.css file.
4. Moved jquery and other js files from header to footer.

Using w3 total cache, and when I activate css minify web site fonts not showing correctly. And after a few minutes only home page turning mobile version.

Selecting post content font “Open Sans” from theme panel, but it doesn’t work.

But if I change font family css code from Chrome Developer Tools, like font-family: “Open Sans, sans-serif”;, it shows fonts correctly.

I removed font codes header, but not changed.

What the reason can be?
