Hello,
I need to add the Facebook comments system to the theme. Currently I am using a child theme.
I uploaded the comments.php (Newspaper/includes/wp_booster), with the Facebook comments code, file in my child theme’s root but the theme keeps loading the default comments code. Here is the code I was forced to put in the Newspaper/comments.php file:
<div class="comments" id="comments">
<h4 class="block-title" style="margin-top: 0px;"><span>LASCIA UN COMMENTO</span></h4>
<div class="fb-comments" data-width="100%" data-order-by="social" data-href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" data-numposts="5" data-colorscheme="light"></div>
</div>
P.S.: I hope this topic is not somehow related to https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-stopped-working/
Thanks.
Hello,
after investigating a bit more here is what I found:
the file which broke the mobile theme is mobile/comments.php. I had to edit it in order to set-up the Facebook comments system.
The content of the comments.php file is below:
<div class="comments" id="comments”>
<h4 class="block-title" style="margin-top: 0px;"><span>Leave a comment</span></h4>
<div class="fb-comments" data-width="100%" data-order-by="social" data-href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" data-numposts="5" data-colorscheme="light"></div>
</div>
The code above started creating problem on mobile devices since the 7.8 version of the main theme:
– if caching plugin is enabled the mobile theme loads also the sidebar of the main theme (desktop mode) at the bottom of the homepage and sometimes also at the bottom of the posts.
– if caching plugin is disabled the mobile version works correctly with the code above.
Since it is difficult to debug the theme with the caching plugin enabled, would you please tell me how can I structure the comment.php in order to use the Facebook comments system.
Thanks.
Hello,
You seem to be using the mobile theme plugin so please read this guide to learn about how the mobile theme handles pages. https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
When you are using the mobile theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ you must insert the page content in the “Mobile editor” section located at the bottom of the page edit screen
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Ri0vxc6xxq7e
If you would like to display the same content from desktop on mobile, simply deactivate the mobile theme plugin because the theme is fully responsive and will adapt to every mobile device screen size.
Thanks
Hi,
There is no option by default to remove the Latest articles from the mobile page. If you would like to remove it, you must make modifications to this file – https://www.screencast.com/t/KefVlRmGqqsC
Thanks
Hello.
I have a bit problem, I configure a new Page http://www.comunidadxbox.com/project-scorpio/ with Visual Composer options but in the Mobile version doesn´t appear nothing, I don´t know how copy the code to mobile version to appear correctly.
Could you help me? Thank you very much
Hi,
You can do these modifications in the theme panel for the mobile menu/search background, like this for a background image
Theme panel->Background – https://www.screencast.com/t/WCq82Po6AqE
And like this for a background color or gradient
Theme panel->Theme Colors – https://www.screencast.com/t/WgxQY1r8b28J
Thanks
Hello dalemccune,
2)For more information about this case, please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-icon-on-mobile-menu/
3)Unfortunately, this is not a simple task and required to do some additional customization through the code in order to achieve this behavior. So, if you are not aware of the steps, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please provide a link to your website and more details about the space that you want to remove, so I may give you a more accurate solution.
If you would like to display the same desktop content on mobile, you just have to disable the mobile theme plugin. The theme is fully responsive and adapts to all screen sizes. More about the mobile theme here

Thanks
“The pages” are blank on the phone. I’ve already ordered it, but I have not. Would you elaborate? Picture narration please (I do not speak english)
Hello again,
since I can’t afford to loose traffic on my website I tried re-uploading the main theme files (maybe there was a customisation which broke the mobile theme) just for a test. After that the mobile theme started loading correctly. Cheers!
How do I hide the Latest Articles on the mobile theme only?
Hi
I put 7 categories in main menu bar. Category global setting is done, and all per category setting are set as default. So all categories should be displayed in the same style.
But when the menu clicked, 2 categories are not showing relevant posts although they have 21 or 32 posts each. Instead, excessively long footer covers the area. The issue is present on desk top view, and mobile view is different. Is it something to do with setting or a bug issue?
Any help would be appreciated.
The site with the issue is http://honjitsurecipe.com
The affected categories are food and life&social
Thank you!
Hello,
the mobile theme is not working anymore and I don’t know the reason. I’ve already tried the following steps with no results:
1) disabling all the plugins (WP Super Cache included) except the VC and mobile theme plugin
2) clearing my browser’s cache
3) switching to the main theme (from the child theme)
Hey @Amit ,just checked your website snaxzer.com And how were you able to make the amp verdin looks just like the mobile theme ?
Yes, you can use both AMP and mobile plugin at the same time.
It will not cause a duplicate issue as AMP has its own permalink.
hi can this be used as well as the mobile plugin? or would it duplicate content?
Hi,
I would like to edit the background image in the mobile version of my menu, how ever I only want to use the responsive theme already built in, I do not want to use the mobile theme plugin, so how can I edit the mobile menu background image?
Thank you,
Emily James
I have 3 questions.
1. The Mobile menu is too small. I’ve figured out how to increase the size for Desktop. The code I’ve used searching here doesn’t work.
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-style-7 .td-main-menu-logo img {
max-height: 150px!important;
}
.td-main-menu-logo img {
max-width: 150px;
}}
When I edit the numbers it goes from Too Big back to the tiny default newsmag setting. Nothing in-between
2. I’d like to have the toggle button for the Mobile menu be 3-slashes, like most Menu Buttons, not the 9-square grid.
3. Can I have my Mobile Logo Placed above the Menu Toggle and Search button?
I’m using Style 7

Thanks!!
I’m not sure you can except possibly removing the mobile “viewport” sizes in the style.css as with any theme.
However, theme is sold as “responsive” and Google prefers you have a mobile friendly site, so “bad” to not be responsive, unless you’re perhaps using some kind of re-write plugin for mobile instead.
You can try removing the small viewport elements in the style.css file, as most likely solution. But, TagDiv might have better answer 🙂
(( I don’t work here. ))
hi there is a space in between the bottom of my header menu as well as above my footer. how do i remove this?
also, for my mobile site, how do i make an option to have it in full site page layout and not mobile site. at the bottom is shows “view mobile site”
thanks!
Hi,
Please note then when you are using the mobile theme plugin, this comes with it’s own predefined templates for page, post, category, etc. This is how the mobile theme works because it was designed for the best performance on mobile, so there is no option to change these templates. If you would like to display the same elements from desktop on mobile devices, simply deactivate the mobile plugin. The theme is fully responsive and will adapt to every screen size with the best results. More information about the mobile theme here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
Hello Catalin, here’s two screenshots. The first one shows how the website looks when you load it in desktop version first, then inspect it in responsive mode (that’s the way we want it to look). The second one shows how the website actually looks when you load it on a mobile device.

Hi,
This is where the call for the avatar is being made in the mobile theme, for the login
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8qD4rDns057U
And in the theme – https://www.screencast.com/t/m0Y1UQymtS
You can try to make the modifications there and hopefully achieve the results you want.
Thanks
Hello,
The page works fine on mobile devices. You probably had the mobile theme active though and did not add any content in the mobile editor: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
