Hi,
The sign in option from the mobile menu can be disabled in the theme panel https://prnt.sc/xODt0uJu3iMU I see you already disabled it https://prnt.sc/1njQ72WD7MLW
By default there are a few socials that display in the mobile menu. They don’t lead anywhere they just have placeholders set. Please check in the theme panel and remove those placeholders https://prnt.sc/iswjPoXA8-Gc for the ones that have them.
A background image for the mobile menu can be set in the theme panel https://prnt.sc/VqMT7qadQXlZ
Background colors can also be set https://prnt.sc/kaA-dC2Ds8aS
If you make changes and they are not visible on the website, I suggest clearing the cache.
Thanks.
Hi,
That is pretty unusual. I know it can happen sometimes, usually due to code in the htaccess https://www.siteground.com/kb/website-downloading-index/ and other causes https://theguidex.com/wordpress-download-file-instead-of-opening-in-browser/ But not due to using the AMP plugin. I don’t think I’ve seen a case where the AMP plugin would cause such an issue.
If I check your website now, the homepage loads correctly on mobile https://prnt.sc/hrqZdSQr_uW- No AMP. But as you said, it may not for visitors that accessed the website when the issue was happening.
You could try this code in the functions file or load it with a code snippet plugin https://pastebin.com/8CAVb8BH It sets a few meta tags for the homepage which should instruct the browser to not use a stored version of the page. Leave the code there for a day or two, then remove it. And please be sure to clear all the caches, from the website and from the hosting if there is any.
Thanks.
Hi,
Sorry for the delay.
We are all checking with various mobiles including iPhones, and the menu is working on your website at this time https://prnt.sc/975pz4s0ndif Does it maybe not work when you are logged in? Or how exactly does it show when you check?
The only thig that is not working is the search on mobile. This might be if you disabled this option https://prnt.sc/AEL2tfQ_JeOc
Maybe it would be best if we check directly on the website, logged in, to see what exactly you are using and what’s happening. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login (user and pass) for the website. We will then check more.
Thanks.
Hi,
I’m really into for support.
URL: https://dekarperhoeve.com/
I’ve followed every documentation steps, I’ve been working with ChatGPT for the last 48 hours on this menu, nothing seems to work.
On the webpage, the menu looks amazing. But when I browse via browser on phone, it’s a struggle to work on it. Somehow it’s a Cloud template and I tried so many steps with TD Composer I lost track. On the mobile version the menu I see the signin option and the social media buttons. I want these to dissapear. I can’t find it. Also when I select background color I don’t see this option.
Please Please assist me in this matter, thank you so much.
Hello, in our site https://trikalatroll.gr we had a problem for mobile users. Suddenly the home page started to prompt users to download a file instead of loading the page. Only in home page!
I found that the issue was the AMP plugin we use for the mobile version of your theme. When I disable it the problem disappeared. I am waiting for a update to enable it again. Is it something you came across the last days?
Now we have another issue though, some users are complaining that the problem still exists, it has to do with mobile browser cache. When they erase it everything is OK. Is there a way we can force the home page to refresh and ask for new version? At least for a while until we finally solve the issue with AMP.
Thanks
Giorgos
Thank you very much, it works.
But at the mobile is now the black logo not the white, I upload it again but there shows always the black one
and I saw that the favicon doesn’t work anymore.

Hi,
Yes you should. The theme uses only the content from that page on mobile, which google “sees” anyway when it crawls the website’s homepage as a mobile user agent. The mobile page itself isn’t used or needed for anything else.
Thanks.
Hi,
Can I reply on this, please?
I need some support, so via laptop/computer I browse to: https://dekarperhoeve.com/
From here the website looks great, the menu works good.
Now, I move to iPhone or iPad.. and the website is not looking good.
The articles are published fine, but the menu is not showing correctly.
As you described I used tagDiv Composer to select the mobile icon (right side).
Also in the settings from menu and in theme (mobile) I select the demo header (which I edited) to my needs. On the computer it looks great, but on mobile the menu is not showing. Also when I clear cache from mobile (Safari or Firefox) it doesn’t show. Please help me out.
Should i set noindex to the mobile page? For example: home index, home-mobile page noindex.
That will be the downside, losing performance. The mobile theme is usually much better than the responsive version because its a very simple plugin with just a few basic options.
If the solution you found works, then you can use it for the time being. Then if our developers find a fix for it they will add it in the theme.
Thanks.
Hi,
That is possible. The background of the mobile menu can be customized in the theme panel.
The image can be set here https://prnt.sc/9UgyjT99W-MN
And the colors here https://prnt.sc/q7kxpE2fvUBb
Using a popup can be useful sometimes, like when you want to display something else as the mobile menu. But if you just want the basic things like a menu, login, socials, then the default mobile menu can be used just fine.
Please let me know if I can help more.
Thanks.
Hi,
I’m checking the website now but I don’t see any obvious issues with it on mobile.
By default there’s no mobile version, the same content from desktop is displayed on mobile. Then if you want a mobile version, there are 2 optional choices, the mobile theme or mobile pages and templates. There is a video about these here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
In either of these cases, the design should not be broken however, they may look different but not broken. If there are still issues please let me know what or where should I check exactly.
Thanks.
Glad it worked.
On mobile its a different page, here it is https://pastebin.com/9n0X045G Same thing with this one, create a new page and paste the code in it, then add a popup in the mobile menu and set the ID of the page. It should work just as well.
Thanks.
Hi,
That is possible. The element that you can use is called the mobile horizontal menu https://prnt.sc/62nltOWn3QgU Sometimes it’s a great alternative to the classic mobile menu. Please try it.
Thanks.
Hi,
Please check this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/
So in the composer you can switch to the mobile header https://prnt.sc/1ptXmMAn6dsC then click on the logo and remove the demo logo https://prnt.sc/VjSp1uJqKfbw
Then the same for the mobile sticky headerhttps://prnt.sc/u2q9o4aIefxO
As a note, the Metropolitan demo uses 2 headers, one for the homepage and one for the rest of the website. Both of them must be customized https://prnt.sc/n1xSPoyZYDcI
Please try it.
Thanks.
Hello. I hope your developers will fix everything; that would be great. It is not possible to disable the mobile plugin because when I check it on pagespeed.web.dev, my site has a performance of 99%, and when the mobile plugin is disabled, the performance drops significantly to 50%. I have temporarily found a solution by automatically inserting the Polylang language switcher shortcode. I will wait for your specialists to solve this problem, as I don’t want to change themes; yours is the best, in my opinion!
https://prnt.sc/c3wGgOF0Fe0X This is a screenshot of my site’s performance with the mobile plugin enabled.
Hi,
Can anyone suggest a simple way of editing the Mobile Menu element. After selecting the menu, it shows
well enough. Now I want to format the text and background of that simple menu. I would rather not use the Modal popup element instead because it’s too complex and presents some challenges that I wish to avoid altogether. The Mobile Menu element gives me what I need but I cant find a way to make simple edits to make the colours and text harmonize with the rest of the site.
As an example, I’d like to get from the blue gradient background of the default to something that looks like these:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/mobile-menu/mobile-menu-2/
Help, please…
Hi,
There could be such issues unfortunately. I can add this on our list but I can’t say if or when our developer team will have the time to check. We try to maintain compatibility with the WPML plugin and this as well takes a lot of time and effort.
My suggestion is to not use the mobile theme plugin in this case. The responsive version works fine with the menus. Please consider disabling the mobile theme plugin.
Thanks.
Hi,
That must be the default mobile logo. It can be customized like so https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/
So in the composer you can switch to the mobile header https://prnt.sc/3sVCI3w2ZjBR then click on the logo and remove the text, should be here https://prnt.sc/AaN7JQ0OuhfB Then you can set your own logo.
Please try it.
Thanks.
Hello tagDiv Support Team,
I’m using Newspaper Theme version 12.7.1 and I’ve noticed a problem with the mobile version of my site londonpostdaily.co.uk.
On desktop, everything displays correctly.
On mobile, the design/layout is broken — some elements are missing or look different, even though I haven’t made any edits specifically for mobile.
I checked the Theme Panel → Typography settings and confirmed the issue is not related to font sizes.
I also cleared the theme cache, WordPress cache, and browser cache, but the issue persists.
The Mobile Theme option in Theme Panel is currently [ON / OFF] (mention whichever it is for you).
Could you please advise how to reset or fix the mobile version layout without affecting the desktop design?
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Janan
It works! Thanks a lot. Anw, how to set up the mobile version?
Hi,
I’m using the Newspapers theme and I want to create a horizontal menu that doesn’t show all items at once on mobile. Instead, users should be able to swipe left/right to see all menu items.
Is this possible with the theme? If yes, could you guide me on how to set it up?
Thanks in advance!
hi this is my website where i installed newspaper – https://midnightblue-wren-996070.hostingersite.com/
i was able to change the logo on desktop header but didn’t found a way to do same in mobile header, please help me
Hello,
I am writing to report an issue with the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin on my website, MODISTA (modistaua.com).
I am using the Newspaper theme with the Polylang Pro plugin to create a multilingual site. I have set up the Ukrainian and English versions, and the content on the pages switches correctly when a user changes the language.
However, the mobile menu does not change language. It remains the same regardless of which language the user selects.
I have already tried the standard troubleshooting steps, including:
Creating a separate menu for each language (e.g., “Main Menu UK” and “Main Menu EN”).
Assigning these menus to their respective languages within the Polylang settings.
Despite these steps, the mobile menu functionality remains static. It appears there may be a conflict between your mobile plugin and Polylang.
Could you please investigate this issue and provide a solution or a workaround? I’m happy to provide temporary login credentials if needed.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
Taras
