Good morning. I have 3 problems to solve in case you can help me. 1-I need to upload several advertising banner images inside the same box. I have used ad box to upload some punctual but I would need several to appear within the same ad and be able to control the appearance with each page update to be able to offer it to customers. 2- I would also need those ads to appear in the mobile version as in the web version because in the amp version they do not appear and in the Mobile version they are placed in another area. 3- is there a possibility of making a design in the PC version and another in the mobile version? For example, that an ad appears in PC version above and on mobile that same ad below. Thank you very much for your help
Hi, I have finished preparing the template on a duplicated development site: dev.foobar.com.
Now, I am looking to import everything ( theme/page/template) to http://www.foobar.com.
I have tried the following steps:
Using the import/export feature from the theme control panel.
Using WordPress import/export on “Cloud Templates”.
Using WordPress import/export on Pages (selecting a specific date to only include the latest changes).
It’s not working. The issue seems to come from WPML because:
The links between translated homepage and mobile homepage are missing.
Some modules are also affected.
Additionally, I need to manually reassign some header templates to make them “global” again.
I also tried exporting the SQL database by extracting all wp_posts and wp_postmeta related to [“page”, “tdb_templates”]. I also considered the IDs generated in wp_icl_translations.
However, this made things even worse!
I need to deploy to production before the end of the year, and this is the first time I am struggling so much with this theme. This is not my first time dealing with WPML either.
Can you help me?
Hi,
Have you assigned a menu, as I said in the viewport for the phone? Can you please provide the link to your website? Maybe you have a mobile theme plugin activated.
Thank you!
Follow this operation, click the menu in the upper left corner on the mobile phone, and the content displayed is still Click here – to use the wp menubuilder
I had already tried, but it does not work. On the dekstop version it is ok but if you put the mobile version it is very small. You have to try putting the mobile version
Hello,
To set the menu, go to the mobile viewport, click on the menu icon and check if you choose a menu from this dropdown: https://app.screencast.com/kXblv69NkhU60
To change the font and color for the mobile menu please go to Theme Panel -> Theme Colors -> Mobile menu/mobile search => https://www.screencast.com/t/0CvSgXp9H to set a background image go in Theme Panel -> Background -> Mobile menu/mobile search => https://www.screencast.com/t/uvDejzbX to change the font from Theme Fonts => https://www.screencast.com/t/ANBQe7hQhJd
The social icons from the mobile menu are coming from the Theme Panel -> Social/Apis -> Social Networks -> https://i.imgur.com/kKYIECB.png remove/edit them after your needs.
Thank you!
thanks to Calin and Cris for sharing the content. For us, we still need to evaluate the complete elimination of AMP mainly to know the impact on our positioning on Google. Today, our publications are quickly indexed and many of them are described as top stories.
Let’s read Chris’s share to study.
Today I realized that when Google displays our AMP page of a featured article indexed in the search engine – the user cannot return to our complete main page but to the small content page. In Brazil, many websites – including UOL (www.uol.com.br) – still use AMP.
If we choose to remove AMP, would we have to deactivate the plugin and leave only the theme plugin marked as mobile?
thanks
When using the pre-built website that comes with the theme, it displays normally in the browser after installation, but when accessing it with a mobile phone, it prompts “Click here – to use the wp
menu builder” when clicking the menu. What is the reason for this? How to solve it?
The currently installed demo website is: Today News PRO
Is there absolutely no way to disable the MOBILE THEME in favor of a specific newspaper template (e.g., Cloud Woo Shop Base Templates Mobile Theme)?
Is there a feature like this, or something similar, currently in development?
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I need to put it on a page. I have tried various ways, certainly change height and width but nothing from mobile the size shrinks as shown in the image I attached to you.
Hello,
This page is a template for our theme. The template is Woo Shop Base Template, and you can not disable the mobile theme on the templates.
Thank you!
Hi thalesbrandao,
The AMP plugin is deprecated so will no longer be provide any fix for it – https://developer.bigcommerce.com/docs/storefront/wordpress/platform-integration/enabling-amp now depends on users if they want or not to use they plugin.
Related the AMP and tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, that message is just a notice -https://i.imgur.com/rFkgw9m.png to use the AMP plugin with the mobile theme plugin so you’ll use the mobile theme plugin for your AMP version, doing this (using AMP + Mobile theme) the Transitional template is the only one that can be used – https://i.imgur.com/JnFXjlY.png if you want to use any other one, then you’ll need to disable the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin and use only AMP.
In case you want to remove the amp you can use the steps provided by @simchris – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/kiss-amp-goodbye/
Best regards
Hello,
Are you referring to the mobile theme or a mobile page? From your screenshot, you seem to have assigned a mobile page there. If you unassign it, the responsive version should be displayed, but please ensure you don’t have the tagdiv mobile theme plugin activated.
Thank you!
Hello,
AMP is deprecated as of January 2023-> https://developer.bigcommerce.com/docs/storefront/wordpress/platform-integration/enabling-amp so we don’t longer recommend it.
You can hide the author and date on that grid for the mobile theme plugin, from Theme Panel -> Block Settings -> Meta info on Modules/Blocks => https://www.screencast.com/t/CvxrWymeyk
Thank you!
Hi
When i use AMP + Mobile theme i would like to remove author from homepage [ so i can only see thumbnail and post title ]
Also, is there some code where i could use TAG for grid instead of category? [ since we use TAG for our top news on homepage desktop ]
I would like to inquire about how to customize the WooCommerce Shop page.
> tagDiv Mobile Theme: ACTIVE
> Cloud Woo shop base templates mobile theme: ACTIVE
> On the SHOP page, Enable/Disable Mobile Theme: DISABLE
> On the SHOP page, Enable/Disable Mobile Theme Page Grid: ENABLE
On other pages, when “Enable/Disable Mobile Theme: DISABLE” is set, the theme I configured loads correctly. However, this does not work for the SHOP page. What can I do to customize the SHOP page for mobile as well? Thanks
I’ll try to explain the intermittency:
I scan all the AMP that is installed with the mobile theme plugin.
OK?
The mobile theme is configured for AMP and when scanning the AMP plugin it recommends the default option. OK?
The default option is configured, but when I return to the panel it changes to transactional.
In the standard mode that I can only use when scanning, it can display my complete website – which is what I need, news, podcasts, events, interviews, etc. In transactional mode, the display of my website is limited to news only, requiring users to access the menu to access our full content.
In some situations, after scanning, the site spends 24 hours or more with full display – however, it suddenly changes to a simplified version.
Another detail is that I cannot delete the AMP plugin – as the mobile theme requires an integrated configuration – when I deactivate the plugin I receive several notifications that AMP plugin + mobile theme integration is necessary.
Good morning. I’m still experiencing conflict and intermittency at times the site goes into AMP mode with a very simple view of our page and at other times the entire page remains.
What do you suggest – that in the theme plugin I apply mobile+amp or just mobile to try to solve this problem? I would like to emphasize that our website http://www.cidademarketing.com.br has a quick indexing of all the content we publish – being configured as main news in almost all publications – my concern is that from one moment to the next the views became conflictingly reduced or unconfigured. Thanks.

Hello!
Add two posts loop shortcodes and set a different limit for each shortcode. After the customization, hide only one on the desktop and only one on the mobile viewport, and make sure you choose to hide the right one and not the same shortcode. It should work well. Please recheck and try again. If the settings are correct, then there is an issue on your end, and be sure it is not from an extra plugin you’re using.
Thank you!
Hey there!
I want to do the following thing – on my category pages I want to have two different views – one for mobile and one for desktop. On the desktop element I want to have infinite load that loads 12 articles whereas on the mobile I want to have next / prev ajax and load only 6 articles per page. To do this I created two separate post loops one for desktop and one for mobile respectively and hide the first one for mobile and vice versa. What I notice however is that if I set 6 article limit on my mobile post loop, no matter what limit I set on the desktop one it always takes the limit of the first post loop element on the page. Is this normal or I am doing something wrong?
Is there a better approach for my task, if yes – please share it.
good afternoon. I am immensely grateful for Chris and Simion’s considerations. Thanks!
Apparently I solved the problem by reactivating the mobile theme plugin and configuring our AMP site to standard mode – apparently I have all the content working and reporting Google indexing correctly. I need to follow up. Simion – the error is intermittent – at times the site presents errors in Google’s indexing or transforms the complete content into simplified content with just news.
Chris, I think a little differently – I believe that AMP is still necessary including a special condition for indexing before Google – in the search console this is a necessary condition.
Jumping in to say we finally removed AMP from all our sites and setup 301 redirects and the “errors” finally cleared out of our search console.
At this point, AMP serves no purpose, and frankly, the way Google works, coming up on two year mark, they could just anounce it’s no longer supported and stop working.
Advisable to move on from AMP and rely on mobile theme or optimized desktop site only (how we roll here).
🙂 Chris
