Hello!

We recommend the Wp Super Cache plugin.
There is all about the DOM. Which means you need to have less elements into that container or row, as such on that page. I can suggest you only to take care of how many elements you use on that page. You can try to use a cache plugin or a plugin which can minify the page or combine some elements in order to reduce its size.

Hello!

We have 3 options available for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Unfortunately, AMP is not working with the cloud templates because the AMP’s layout is not fully customized.
The AMP version works best with default templates and not cloud templates. That’s why we integrated it with the Mobile theme plugin.
The feedback from our clients about AMP was negative and it is not used anymore, that’s why we didn’t add more customization options. We no longer recommend using AMP because it is deprecated https://developer.bigcommerce.com/docs/storefront/wordpress/platform-integration/enabling-amp

This is a known issue and the opt-in builder is fully updated.

Hello,

Please check this guide: https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/#preload-newspaper-theme-fonts. You can find the fonts on the source page.
Also, I suggest using the OMGF plugin to optimize the fonts.

Hello!

Please use the latest update of the theme and plugins.
We’ve discussed here what you can try to exclude or not use: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/admin-ajax-loading-time/
If you do not use default templates and styles, then you can deactivate the Standard Pack plugin.

Hi,

The issue is caused by this plugin that you use, and there is an option to optimize the JS, which is why it is not working.
Also, if you delete a plugin, the object cache might remain, so you must also delete that file https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/.

Thank you!

Hello,
Normally, when you upload an image in media this should be updated in full size and the theme and WordPress will create some thumbs and those can be added instead of the full image size – https://imgur.com/UVlTXgy
Also, there were a few cases when an extra plugin was interfering (most of the time is an image optimizer plugin).
Thank you!

If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

1. I can see that you use the Mobile theme right now and you can try to add the shortcode in the mobile editor(check documentation) if this is from an external plugin.
2. Unfortunately, there are no options to display the CPTs as in the cloud templates. You can do that only with custom code. For customization and other services, you can contact our custom work team here: https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/.
3. If you will use cloud templates, then there are some settings of the “Header live search” to specify the taxonomies, create some results sections and exclude posts/pages.
4. Unfortunately, we have no design idea for an alert box. But you can use a modal popup to build the one you like: https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/ You can trigger it as a button or page and it can open automatically or by clicking the button.
5. Check this thread: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/excessive-dom-size/

I hope that helps you!

Hello,

You can use this code
.td-module-thumb a, .td-module-thumb span {
border-radius:10px;
}

You have the WP ROCKET PLUGIN, but this is not configured, you need to optimize the images, CSS, js.

Thankyou!

Hello,

I believe that you are referring that the pages sped has dropped, this is normal since the structure is different and the site needs to be re-optimized.
Please use CDN for the website, this will make it faster – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ you can use the options from the last version and disable the mobile header on desktop and desktop header on mobile (this can be done for the sticky headers, but make sure that the mobile cache option is enabled – https://i.imgur.com/vgI7fdR.png) – https://i.imgur.com/FMejmEf.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/hTWwMFY.png also uses those options – https://i.imgur.com/WoLDdB9.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/tqFRWHX.png and you can enable the option to use webp format for thumbs – https://i.imgur.com/ZOg8cCq.png (those need to be generated with a dedicate plugin).

Thank you!

Hi there!

The mobile version of our website (brockpress.com) has a major problem. When the mobile version is first loaded, the mobile menu button on the upper left does not display when clicked. The photos below show what happens when the menu button is clicked.

hm that’s not right

However, when a different page other than the home page is loaded, the menu button does work as it should.

how it should look

After a lot of debugging, a solution I came up with was to redirect users from the mobile version of the homepage (brockpress.com) to the actual URL of the mobile version of the page (brockpress.com/home-mobile) if the homepage (brockpress.com) is loaded on a device using a mobile OS. To avoid any issues, I also added a redirect so that if the mobile page URL (brockpress.com/home-mobile) is loaded on a desktop OS, it will redirect to the normal homepage (brockpress.com). Images below show the redirect plug-in I used and the essentials of how I did it.

Now you may think that should work fine, in fact images loaded much faster on brockpress.com/home-mobile than brockpress.com on mobile as well, however the redirect plug-in I’m using is buggy and not optimized for redirecting based on mobile or desktop. So sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

I’ve found no other plug-in that does the same thing or works as well.

TL;DR: I need help either fixing the mobile menu button so it works every time or finding a way to redirect to the mobile homepage URL on mobiles only every time.

Hi,
thanks for the suggestion regarding the use of a dedicated SEO plugin. I agree that Yoast SEO is an excellent solution, however, in my case, I am using RankMath. Unfortunately, RankMath does not allow me to modify certain data structures that I am looking to optimize.

I have already disabled the article schema option of the theme and tried other plugins, but the problem persists. I feel more comfortable working directly with the code, I just need to know where to find it.
Thanks.

Hello @kevinstolz!

You can create a new page and edit it with the tagdiv Composer. You can customize the pages as you want. You need to edit the logo when you edit the homepage for example with the tagdiv Composer.

I recommend letting only the LiteSpeed and CDN. It is not recommend to use some many plugins for optimize and cache

So, from the list, you suggest to use only Autoptimize and LiteSpeed Cache and remove the other 3?
