Hello @Explorion!

It is working one time: https://app.screencast.com/3jNVhhkd5DTxP. Also, you can use 1 from 3 different mobile versions: 1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to disable the Mobile Theme plugin.

Thank you!

I can’t find it, how do i change these: date template ( https://imgur.com/a/hw8qlQh )
tag template ( https://imgur.com/a/h3H00vb ) these are from the magazine pro prebuilt website. For exemple i’d like to change the title of the date template since it’s in english and i’d also like to add other words, if the page title takes the title of the template can i change the name of the template somehow? If so were?
thank you.

Using Google Translator – Recently I’m noticing a serious problem in the newspaper theme. Even though I import the template ready, when I delete the default content and put mine, like a background image in the layout of the footer, only about 15 or 20% of the image appears while I’m in the tagdiv editor, but after I go back to the published site, the footer does not appear. Do you have a prediction of when you will fix the bug? It would be interesting if we could edit Footer, Header and Body in isolation and it would work. It’s weird.

Another serious problem I’ve noticed is in regards to the adrotate plugin. Depending on the area of the site, especially in the header, when I put the shortcode, even correctly, it does not display the banner. Then I create a new page, put the same shortcode, the way it was where it doesn’t work, and it works. It’s weird that certain areas don’t work. It’s just that in that same area where it doesn’t work, if I just upload the banner directly by the theme, it works.

Finally, I would like to make a suggestion Create a banner plugin yourself, by shortcode, already integrated into the theme, so that even in the editor, we see the image. It’s too bad to be editing in a visual editor and when placing a banner, it doesn’t appear immediately if it’s by shortcode. You had put a shortcode that worked in the previous version, but in the current one it doesn’t work.

Hello,

You can create a single post template for each author, then they can assign that template for the posts -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/ -> https://i.imgur.com/DmH3eJK.png

Thank you!

Hello,

The page title takes the title of the template, for example, the name of a tag.
If you use tags in posts, then you need to use this template, also, if you delete them, a default template will be used.
I recommend not deleting those templates because your users can search using the date in URL and they can reach this page/template.

Thank you!

hi, what do i need these templates for? If they are optional how to fully remove them? i tried to remove these https://imgur.com/a/tKlvQgw but the links that bring you to the pages still exists (i checked with an incognito window) . If i can’t fully remove them how do i change the title of them? for exemple : https://imgur.com/a/cnIET0y i can’t find the option to change the title, i saw that it’s a “page title” so i checked on the pages but i don’t have one with that name.

thank you for your time.

Hello,

If you have created mobile templates, then you need to convert the header/footer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HrjOBNayd please check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY to be able to edit them with tagDiv Composer.
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edited with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

Thank you!

Hello,

I’m having an issue with my header and footer displaying on my mobile site in newspaper theme.

I was initially having trouble with the formatting changes I made through the mobile tagDiv composer. It was making the same changes to my desktop version. I found through searching the documentation that the mobile site cannot be edited in tagdiv so I turned off the mobile theme and was able to successfully edit the formatting of my pages without it affecting the desktop version.

The issue then became that my header and footer on my mobile are not displaying properly. The header changed to My WordPress and removed my logo, and the footer is only showing my footer sub-menu and nothing else. tagDiv is stating that I can only edit the header/footer through a theme template, but the theme template is not displaying properly. I turned the mobile theme back on and checked the settings and still am experiencing the same issues with the header and footer. I’m not clear on how to edit my header and footer to display correctly and I’m not able to find a solution that addresses my exact issue.

How can I edit my header and footer if it’s stating that it can only be edited with a theme template and the theme template it not displaying it properly?

And to clarify: am I not able to edit any part of my mobile site with the mobile theme? I keep getting a message that it’s the best for my mobile site, but it’s not allowing me to format it properly. As stated above, it’s changing my desktop version. I want my mobile site to display the exact same information as my desktop.

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Hello!

Check in the website manager -> Global colors. Or change the background color on the rows from CSS tab.
We recommend using cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer, which contains a lot of functions and features, Please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-templates/

So I have to go into each post to add a sidebar using TagDiv?

Or I have to build a completely new page template to have the table of contents and the sidebar on all my posts then apply this template to the existing and future posts?

Anamaria
tagDiv Staff

Hello,

I recommend importing a Single Post Template after you can import the Single Post Table of content from Composer, and you can create a sidebar like this https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/

Thank you!

If you see this page here: https://theprint.in/opinion/vajpayees-loss-in-2004-should-be-a-warning-to-modi-global-acclaim-wont-win-elections/1641886/

I think, this thing is not achieved with your suggestion above.

Also, for this it needs to change the entire design of any template. And it may create problem with the design.

My website is techchannel.news. Before I used to edit the page but after moving to a new server, I am not able to do it. What should I do or what is the reason. Can you send the email or the reply to editor @techchannel.news

I want a module template that appears on this page. Can I use this module template without having to pay?

Or do I have to pay premium Licenses?

Hello @Jumich!

We’ve added the Single Post Table of Contents shortcode. This can be found in the TagDiv Composer while you edit a single cloud post template. If you have only one Global template, then it will work on all your articles. Otherwise, you can add it to every single cloud post template. Please note that this shortcode will work only on this type of template and not on pages, for example.

Thank you!

Hi. The information you provided isn’t really helpful. Nothing in the category templates actually match the default pro demo template, so I’m a bit confused. It’s easy enough to figure out how to edit a template, but designing it from scratch on an unfamiliar platform is a whole other story.

Everything is showing default pro, but the only way I can get to the category pages is through the breadcrumbs, and then the category page does not match the actual template demo they are all exactly the same, same layout, etc. Nothing like the demo. Then in the category templates library, none of the templates match the demo pages either. I really want the demo pages, it’s why I chose this platform.

Why doesn’t the template content match the demo content? Do I have an out-of-date template file?

Hello!

Please check in the website manager which header is assigned on that page and set the default pro global. You can change those settings with the ones you need. Instead of #, you can place the links there.
Please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:

Hello,

I have installed the Newspaper theme Default Pro and am having issues with the whole template not installing. I’m not receiving any errors, but when I view the template after installation the header menu category pages are non-existent and have the # in the url – so when I click on the pages, nothing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the template twice now along with all plugins (deleted site files and started from scratch) and I’m receiving the same issue each time. I’m using the Default Pro template. Any suggestions on how to remedy this? I’m new to WordPress so I really want the full content with the template to learn my way through it.

Thank you!

Hello @anshab09 !

Yes, you can do that if you will use cloud templates.
Check the guide to see which shortcodes we have available: https://forum.tagdiv.com/reviews-2/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/user-reviews/
We recommend using cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer, which contains a lot of functions and features, Please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-templates/

Thank you!

Hi,

So, please disable the mobile theme plugin and check the results.
Also, please provide the link to your website and screenshots.
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

Thank you!

Hello,

You can create a page like that with tagDiv Composer, but not a post template.

Thank you!

Hi, I’m wondering if it’s possible to create a blog post Template where I could add an image or an ad that’d go accross the the entire page. I’d like to be able to place an image in between paragraphs that would extend from side to side. Using Worpress Editor is not letting me, unless there’s a plug in for that and I’m not aware of it. WP has the widget to add images, but the image is limited to the size of the div on the template, and I can’t figure out how to be able to do that. Thanks in advance.

Hello Bettina,
as stated in my previous message, we are using the mobile theme, so mobile version n.3, to have a better performance. Do smart lists work with the mobile theme? I mean, they used to work as long as we used a page template which required the standard pack, but for some reason, with the new cloud template the smart lists are not appearing on mobile theme. I know I could switch to the responsive version, but for now I’d stick with the mobile theme.

Thanks

Hello!

Unfortunately, the mobile theme won’t work like that. If you uninstall the mobile theme, then you will see that the smartlists will display on the mobile viewport as well.
Actually, we have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

You can choose the mobile version and the menu you want to use. By default, we use option 1 for mobile, and you can customize it from the tagdiv Composer.

Thank you!
