Hi,
I encountered a problem while trying to edit a template I use for “Authors.”
This was the original author page:

I attempted to edit the template by clicking on the blank square and changing it to “Global.”

After making this change, the template completely changed and now looks entirely different.
I tried switching to a new template I had previously downloaded and even attempted using a clone of the original template, but nothing changed.
Is there a way to uncheck the “Global” option or use another template?

Hey Anamaria! Thank you for the insight! I am playing with Flex Block 1; I have been able to tweak with the layout settings to get the look I want with good ease. You’re right, much more customization options with this. I appreciate the direction as I’ll work to get all my category pages changed over to this.
ONE QUESTION: Is there any way in the Flex Blocks to add custom meta fields into the mix? Obviously you can do titles, categories, etc. But if I have custom meta fields in my posts, is there any way I could incorporate those as well?
I am using the Cloud Templates; I have fallen in love with the work I have been able to do with those. All my category pages are Cloud templates, and I have even been able to make a post template with a lot of the customizations I have wanted, so I am very happy with those.

You can set a big grid in the category template and set the filter on the block to the category – current category, and you can hide the title, author,etc and let only the image.

After I changed the global footer to the new one I downloaded from templates, my whole home page disappeared. So I am now guessing that you can edit the footer from creating a new page and I have somehow added all the page content into the footer area without knowing. I will have to build the page again now.
No, I had to start again with a new page and assign it as the homepage. The logo works on everything apart from the Gadgets Template Home page that it creates. That will not change and hence why I just started a new page completely.
With regards to the categories page showing my home page at the base, I just opened the category page to edit it and hovered over the homepage that appears at the bottom, and sure enough, it says “Footer” in the Zone. Why has the whole page been assigned to the footer area of the category template? All I did was create a new page and assign it as home page. Where did it pick it up and make it the footer? I have just assigned a new footer for the global footer to get rid of it, but I would still like to know why this happened without me knowing?
I have the latest version of the theme, however, when I go into the cloud templates to download just the homepage for Newspaper12 I do not see 12, I see 10 and 11?

So you have made the change for the homepage and logo and are working? Related to the issue with the page at the bottom of the template maybe you added rows in footer zone that is why you have it on the homepage, so please check the rows where are set and move them to the content zone on the page

You need to go to the frontend to be able to edit with tagdiv Composer https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
The tagDiv Composer is our page builder. It can be used to create pages and cloud templates, but not posts. For this, you’ll need to use Gutenberg or a classic editor.
Using tagDiv Composer, you can build/edit the single post template (the layout of the posts).

For each category, on the flex block there is a special filter for the current category, which dynamically displays the posts from that category within each category.
The Posts Loop automatically filters the posts depending on the cloud template you set (for example, on the category page, there will be posted posts from that category) https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-loop/

You can add text on a page using column text, to add ads you can use AD BOX.The ad box has 3 sections for ads: using theme panel ads -> https://i.imgur.com/KFa9ibl.png, using images/banners -> https://i.imgur.com/MfAPTaE.png and custom code -> https://i.imgur.com/2rh8SuD.png save it and will appear on the post (you can set a shortcode like a shortcode from adrotate plugin or other plugins).

I do not see the newest Newspaper version available for download in Cloud Templates, is it available for download? Is the version 12 homepage another version, like 11, that has not changed?

The Flex Loop builder works like the posts loop. The Flex loop builder automatically filters the posts depending on the cloud template you set (for example, on the category page, there will be posted posts from that category). You can find more details here https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-loop/

My template (now on Version: 12.6.8) update aproximately two weeks ago, and in the process I ended up with all the demo content and woo commerce content being placed back in my dashboard.
It was a simple thing to delete it all out, and all seems fine on the desktop.
But ever since, the mobile version of my site refuses to display correctly.
It looks fine in the dashboard (How the mobile page looks in the dashboard is here )
I have deleted the mobile page and re-created a new one – which has had no effect.
I have entirely deleted the cache plug in – no effect.
I have deactivated plugins – no effect.
I have installed a new cache plug in – which I cannot now activate
I had made no changes to the site, and can track down no reason for this
I have created single custom template on cloud templates for single post page of specific category named books.
I have assigned that template to that book category from theme panel category section but it is not appying.
Books category single post keeps showing global template.
Why this is hapening?
Please provide help on this.

Also I have used 3rd party book showcase plugin named WordPress Books Gallery (Premium).
That plugin developer told me that newspaper template overriding the book plugin template.
Is there any solution on this?

I am very disappointed with your template, it does not support full RTL!
and has a lot of bugs as I see in the setting of the Cloud templates , and I am just starting out with that theme.

1. The code you provide me not good and its broken some element in site and in footer, Please check yourself and make QA before you send me sloutions as not worked properly!
2. Description on all pages leans to the left rather than the right, This is not RTL Support themplate !!!!
3 in Cloud templates i am unable to add links to images and some Fields are simply inaccessible because I’m on RTL and some elemnets is broken in the setting and not working !!!
This is just an excuse to give a review as this theme not support RTL, If you want to support RTL do it well and not like that! 🙁

I have a Flex Block 1 on our front page at https://www.justhacking.com. As you can see, I have 4 sections within the block. This was part of a pre-made template, so this block was already there. It doesn’t show the titles and buttons until you hover over the block. I’ve been through all of the settings, but I can’t figure out how to make the titles and buttons show all the time without the need to hover. It’s a cool effect, but then on mobile our visitors don’t see the titles and buttons at all.

Hi,
Pages can be edited with the composer with both themes. Although the composer provided with the Newsmag theme doesn’t have as many elements and options as the one from Newspaper.
The cloud template system, meaning being able to build templates with the composer, is only available with the Newspaper theme. All the Newsmag templates (header, footer, post, category, etc.) are predefined and cannot be customized with the composer. The settings for them are all in the theme panel.
If there are any issues using the features available for the the themes, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website, so we can check directly on the website. It will be faster this way.
