Hello !

The other way would be for you to create a cloud library template and delete the author box. Find out more about how to create and edit a single post template from the cloud library here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/

Thank you !

Hi,

If I understand correctly you want to turn of the breadcrumbs & main menu only for specific pages, this can be done using some cloud templates for posts, categories, header, edit theme with tagDiv Composer and remove the menu and breadcrumbs, after that set the template on the posts, categories, header, pages where you do not what to have breadcrumbs and menu.
Also for page you can remove the breadcrumbs using all the page templates except the Page Builder + Page Title -> http://prntscr.com/olu6wz

Thank you!

Hi,

Depends on the type of post template used. If for example you use a cloud post template
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
Then you can simply drag and drop the author box element in the location you want, like below the post content element – http://prntscr.com/olbj5h
These cloud templates can be edited with the composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/ so it is easier to customize them.

On the other hand, if you use a default post templatehttps://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-default-templates/
Then you could copy the template in the child theme and customize it (this is possible starting from theme update 9.7.4).
For example if you want to do this for post template 2, copy it in the child theme from the composer plugin (create the same directory path to the files as in the composer then copy both the single and loop-single)
http://prntscr.com/olbksx -> http://prntscr.com/olbl5h
Then move the author box code below the content code and it should appear as you want.

Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hello Simion C,
We finnaly succeeded with footer translation with that procedure ! It is now Ok for footer. Thank you. But for the sidebar translation, there is still a problem. As I mentioned above, I’ve created an english version of for the sidebar in Cloud Template (Single page cloud template). In addition of Single Post Cloud Template French (default). I even have the ID number of that translated cloud template page.
I’ve also tried to use another method to change the sidebar by using Newspaper Theme panel / Post Settings / Default post template. There, the both single created pages appears in back office. Like this : https://prnt.sc/oifg0r. When I chose ‘Single Cloud Template Anglais’ for the english version. It display on the both french and english version of the website.
Please I need a help! If you could have a look, it will be great! How can I do that the english version of that single cloud template display just on the english version and the french version of that single cloud page template which has sidebar in french also display on the french version?
Thanks in advance!

Hey there, I am a beginner and can’t change the background photo on the fashion template. I have gone into “background” and changed all the photos, but it still doesn’t work on the home page. I also uploaded a high res photo, but it’s blurry and looks like crap.

I installed header template 13 and configured my logo and style. However when I scroll down the blog page (mobile or desktop) it reverts back to the “NEWSPAPER” logo. I don’t see anywhere to customize the sticky header in TD Composer. Where do I customize the sticky header?

Hi – There is an alignment error for an ad that appears in the page header of my Web site piracymonitor.org

See screenshot – https://ibb.co/K0BCDK7

My header logo graphic images have the default sizes of 272×90 and 544×180. The ad graphic image has the default image size of 728×90.

When the iPad is in ‘portrait’ (vertical) view, the header graphics re-size but the header itself is taller than it should be, and the ad is forced downward so it is not in alignment with my site’s header logo.

Do I have something wrong? Or is there a work-around? Or is this an error with the Newsmag template?

Thank you

Best regards,
– Steve

Hello !

Ok, so you will have to create a single post template, add a text with title element in it. And paste the code in the text mode as shown in the previous reply. Find out more about single post templates from the cloud library here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/

Thank you !

Hi,

So you get a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and you set it in theme panel for all post that have set the template from theme panel ( the template you chose -> http://prntscr.com/okcbxx) if is so, then you’ll need to know that the cloud templates have set the sidebar using tagDiv Composer , in order to make a sidebar for that post or to check it you’ll need to edit that single post template, one example of editing the template is to go in Cloud Templates hover the template that you want to edit and click on “Edit templatehttp://prntscr.com/okceja after that this will be open in tagDiv Composer -> http://prntscr.com/okceyb and you can edit the sidebar and you can add the sidebar widget if you want -> http://prntscr.com/okcft0

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.

I read the documentation for “Child theme support,” which lists the following:

– Please note that most of the child theme modifications are no longer required as the Cloud Library plugin allows you to create templates for posts, categories, tags, archives, 404 pages, author templates, search templates, etc.
A child theme is not update proof. The files you add to your child theme will have to be replaced if they have been modified by a theme update.

Does this mean that Child themes are actually not recommended? The current Child Theme installed on my website is “Newspaper 7 Child theme,” and after installing Newspaper Version 9.7.4, trying to activate the Child Theme instead of the main theme results in a lot of problems.

Should I just stick with the main theme and ignore a Child theme moving forward, or should I install the new Child theme for the current theme?

Hello !

In order to have the featured image only on preview and not in post you will have to change the post template, or you can create one from the Cloud Template: https://www.screencast.com/t/eFu0Kfzy ; https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/

In order to have a featured video you will have to paste the link to your video here: https://www.screencast.com/t/NSsc7Juuwn

Thank you!

Hi,

This is a very fundamental question about feature images.
I have checked your demo images are around 1068 x 712px but I have uploaded compressed 800 x 550px, 48kB for the feature image with PhotoshopCC and looks fine. I think I may have to upload up to 80KB for good quality images (it depends on the original photo).
I have also set up in “Media Settings” >large size > max Width 1068px > max height 1068px.
should I change 800 x 800px? for larg size setting in “Media Settings”, is this work for what I want?

I’m using Beauty blog template and all pages and post have sidebar so there are not any full-width posts, just want to fill in only for width in the post content area.

I’m trying to build this site as light as possible with good quality photos.

If there is any advice for this website set?

Cheers,

Calin

Hi,

If you are using the Latest Articles from page template then you should edit this file -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/loop.php

If you are using the loop or loop 2 then you’ll need to edit those files wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/common/tdb_loop.php – tdb_loop_2.php

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,

The post pages do display the author photo and name, there is an author box at the end of the post, like in this example – http://prntscr.com/ok8fp3
Of course using cloud templates it can be moved in the beginning if needed.

Also they display the date and time depending on your settings – http://prntscr.com/ok8g5s
The theme loads the basic structured data for posts, you can test with their tool
https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/

I found some guides concerning Google news, maybe they are helpful

Hi,

The theme has indeed templates for woocommerce, bbpress, and all the wordpress templates. For these sidebars can be set. For custom post types and taxonomies there are settings
http://prntscr.com/ok7wl7
But for the plugin you mention it has no dedicated template. Maybe you can try and customize the template used by the plugin – https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/page-design/
Check how the woocommerce template is made, may be helpful – http://prntscr.com/ok83hs
We haven’t made tests with this plugin unfortunately, can’t say how it could be done.

Thanks

Hi,

If I’m right this is happen because you have the WPBakery plugin activate, if you have it, this can happen when you create the first time a template or a page and you have this plugin activate ( WPBakery ) in order to fix this problem you’ll need to save the header and refresh the page, after the page/header is save there should be no problem.
Please let me know if there is still a problem!
Thank you!

Hello Simion,
Thanks for the link for the code error fix.

About Posts; Gutenberg inserting itself in the Page/Posts layout pages is a bit dis-orienting and I remember now that posts were configured pre-Gutenberg using the list of Sidebar layouts and post layouts selectable in the Theme dashboard. I’m not sure what you mean when you say;
‘While the composer allows the creation of post templates https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single through the cloud library plugin, it can’t be used to create the actual post content.”

Is there some way to view and select TagCloud Library templates within the Post layout page? I don’t find it. If not, how are we to select one of the Post templates for use on a post page?

ello !

The only way to have this feature is to do the following:

In homepage edit using the tagdiv composer and set the row layout as shown here: https://www.screencast.com/t/zQcJSXzW You only choose one sidebar not 2.

Edit the ROW and set the layout to have 1 sidebar and you can add the elements you want.

In order to have this in posts you will have to add a single post template from the cloud library: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/

Thank you !

Hi,
I’m planning to create a blogging website. I’m looking for the below solution.
– I want to keep consistency throughout the whole blog pages and like to create a template where any modification will reflect all the pages.
– For blogging do you have a better idea of how to proceed with what I should or shouldn’t
Thank you.

ARE YOU SERIOUS??? it means that your template is made only for Horizontal images!!!???? With all your “beautiful blocks” there is no one which allows Vertical thumbnails ?However VERTICAL PICTURES is such a BASIC need!! isn’t it????
Your answer does not satisfy me at all, showing me a page full of blocks with horizontal thumbnails is not a good way to answer to my question about VERTICAL thumbnails…..
Actually I’ve just found only one block which allows vertical thumbnails, this is the block 24, but no way to change the size… so I guess I have to change the css stylesheet, so can you tell me the way to do it (for example which class in which page and which file ) ? I paid a lot for you theme, for your assistance, so please make an effort…

Hi,

I have checked your website and I saw that your numbered pagination does not work on the category template. It seems to be strange because I have made some tests on my website and it seems to works as expected. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) and CPanel access so we can further investigate it closer your setup page. Provide there the link of this topic so we can quickly identify you.

Thank you!

Hi,

The composer edit option won’t appear for posts, just for pages. While the composer allows the creation of post templates – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single through the cloud library plugin, it can’t be used to create the actual post content.

Regarding that warning, maybe you use this plugin and you may need to update it
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/warning-call_user_func_array-expects-parameter-1-5/

Thanks

Hi,

This can be achieve using tagDiv Composer on the page where you have the latest articles section, first you’ll need to change the page template to Default Template, after that open the Td Composer and set a row at the end of page or where you want to have the latest articles -> http://prntscr.com/ojqqr3, you can change the row width -> http://prntscr.com/ojqr5x and set it a posts loop element -> http://prntscr.com/ojqrky click on it -> http://prntscr.com/ojqru0 and in layout section you can edit the number of post that will show inline http://prntscr.com/ojqsac.

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
