Before few days I bought Newspaper template from ThemeForest.
I have problem with posts, I already had other template before – now I just replaced with new one. (Newspaper)
Now I’m not able to open old posts. When I’m clicking on it to open it re-directs me on 404 Not Found page.
Also tried to make new post, happens the same.
Can someone help me, please?

For this page I have made the following CSS – and it did the trick. However, I’m not sure it’s the most efficient way to style the bottom border, so if you can take a look, and perhaps suggest a better CSS for the bottom border :-)?

The button code is gathered in a variable and then echoed on the page. You have to check the options available for the the_ratings() function to see if it can return a value rather then echo it. Then you could set it like this: – http://screencast.com/t/Dy9dgziUt

The second option is harder, from your description i understand that you want to add the stars inside the post content, after the text and above the images which appear at the end of the content. This is not an easy task and i cannot provide a quick solution, my advice is to look for a professional developer to help you with this task.

The theme has an option to add a site wide background and also you can add a specific background for each category. The articles will inherit the background you set on their category from panel – http://screencast.com/t/BmaWZkk3HyM
If you want to add it individual, it can be done via custom css like Bogdan stated above. So if you want to add a specific background for your homepage you can target it using .home class instead .page-id-xxx. For post pages you can use .single as general class for all your post templates.
There is no option to add 2 different background ad links in panel and you will need cusotm modifications for it and I suggest to get someone to help you with this as we cannot provide custom work at this time.

I am using Event Organizer plugin. One of its features is to show a map of the event venue. But it does not apply the template of the theme unless I uncheck the “Enable templates” box. When i do this, the template aplies but it won’t show neither the map nor date/time of the event.
Under the “Enable template” box there is the following text:
For each of the pages, the corresponding template is used. To use your own template simply give it the same name and store in your theme folder. By default, if Event Organiser cannot find a template in your theme directory, it will use its own default template. To prevent this, uncheck this option. WordPress will then decide which template from your theme’s folder to use.

How can I get the EventtOn Plugin to work with Newspaper Template and which files do I have to modify with which code?
I tried the EventOn Description with the single.php file in Themes root. But with this solution I just get a row Text (Just Title and Description from the Event) but without without an image or other formatted data from the Event Plugin. I think I´m on the right way but my programming knowledgement is to less to get this Issue to work.

You can select the Visual Editor to appear as an option for the posts. I did a test by creating a posts with the Visual Editor where I used a template ready Visual Editor, and this template has a Big Grid, but does not appear in the post, and still pops up the field without image in featured, do you put since it was to be the Big Grid or anything in place.

I am using the demo theme layout and I noticed some code in the sidebar. I figured out that the tag div social counter plugin was not installed. So I installed that and the look is great. However, no matter how many times I try to update the Facebook, twitter, youtube, etc, it does not change. the twitter and youtube continue to point to the default evato pages. Any help on this?
To my rudimentary knowledge, it seems that the demo template has this information stored elsewhere from the widget in the sidebar which might explain why the code was showing in the sidebar before I had installed the plugin?

If one would click on a selection from the top menu, I’ve been able to add additional ad blocks to the page the menu points to, as well as edit the bottom footer for another banner “ad.”
However, when one clicks on an individual post, those additional ads disappear. How to edit the post template to look like one of the menu “homepage” templates? Is that possible via the Visual Composer? Do I have to create a whole new template? If so, how to point the posts to that template?
In the meantime, where am I able to change the footer ad on the post template?

Unfortunately, it is not a simple task to achieve what you want. Each of blocks are using a different thumb with a specific size and WordPress will crop the image top center.
In order to identify the ideal/average size, you need to figure out which is the largest container that will display that particular image and upload an image bigger than that container. Then there is the post template to consider. If you use post templates with big image backgrounds (style 6, 7 or 8), then your uploaded image has to be bigger (especially on style 8). You need to assess your website’s layout (posts and block elements) and come up with an average image size that will work on smaller containers but also keep good quality on bigger ones.

The theme uses thumbs to reduce the page size and speed up page loading time. From each image uploaded are generated thumbs for each thumb size used by the theme. Basically, when a post it’s displayed on the page in a block, the featured image displayed is not the one which you uploaded in the media file, it’s a thumb cropped from the original image at the precise dimension. To change the picture orientation most likely you will need a different cropping system. We use a WordPress function – add_image_size() – you can read about it here – https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size – and here – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/
To display more levels you need custom modifications and I suggest to hire a freelancer to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work at this time, sorry!

Yes, you can remove the latest articles by using a template that does not contain the feature. There are 3 page templates. The default one, pagebuilder + pagetitle or pagebuilder + latest and pagination. Depending on your preference you can use any one of them.

Definitely some kind of conflict somewhere with the new version of visual composer.
1, I’ve deleted the theme, deleted all the plugins
2, Reinstalled everything as it was and the same problem re appeared
3, I went back and disabled all plugins
4, Deleted the new visual composer plugin and the social share
5, Reinstalled a previous version of VC from early November, not sure which version
6, Activated plugin, checked pages and everything is fine
7, Activated social plugin and everything still fine
8, activated all other plugins, everything still fine
I had saved a previous template in VC for use on my secondary nav pages, I tried to load this page template again with the older version of VC and this again produced the same broken results as before the VC plugin downgrade
Just tried to save a vc template again with the older version of VC and this again produced broken results when loaded with the backend editor so I’m not sure what’s going on now….. I can create pages manually without reproducing the broken elements but would like to get to the bottom of it.
Let me know if you have any ideas what might be causing this erratic behaviour, this is all since the server migration though so who knows

You can use this id to target elements on the particular category page you want:
for example on my cat page:

}If this is not what you mean and you want to always hide the author for posts from a specific category, that cannot be done with css as a condition will be needed in the php files.
