Hi. I have read all documents about image size and related to that. I still can do nothing with my image sizes. I made all images the same size, uploaded all images again, regenerated all thumbnails. Nothing. No cache. No browser cache.
For example, this post https://otea.net/best-and-most-useful-teas-for-immunity-boosting
In the post there are a few images + featured image (I turned it off). In block editor I set the images size as 600×450 but it doesn’t display this size on the screen. I see all the images much lager. Also I tried to reduce image size in post template. The same. Nothing work.
Please, help me find the way how I can control image size. Thanks
Hi,
By default our theme will generate thumbs for modules inside the blocks and grids, in this way the image will adapt and look well on all elements and viewporst you are using.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
In some cases the images need to be regenerate in order to fit the module from block, for this you can use our guide form here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If this is not what you mean, please provide some more details and a link where I can inspect the problem.
Thank you !

Hi xabster,
I just check your website and is look that the thumbs are still not enable in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/RCTPqSv.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Zwzovp3.png -> https://i.imgur.com/szcDgYF.png also after you enable these, you need to regenerate the thumbs and clear all cache.
Thank you!
It’s attempting to load a td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/assets/images/thumb-disabled/td_265x198.png. I feel like there isn’t a thumb profile being made for the mobile version. I have tried the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and it did not have the ones that seemed to be required.
The mobile theme requires the “265×198” and the “741×486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
See above your website says they need those two thumbnail sizes.
Hi,
on the “Thumbs on Modules/Blocks” theme section I see a lot of out of the box thumb sizes enabled.
For my website I enabled additional thumbs. Now, is there any smart way to see what are the sizes used by my web site? I don’t want to disable thumbs by attempts and that my web site will generate unuseful thumbs: this will impact the performance for sure. Isn’t it?
The last question is about thumb regeneration: should I regenerate all thumns everytime I enable/disable a thumb size?
Thanks,
Max
Hi Calin,
Thanks for your answers!
1. There is a featured image as you can see: https://i.imgur.com/gW1MGqn.jpg
I regenerated all the thumbnails with the plugin but the problem is still running on mobile device: https://i.imgur.com/KjsyvrP.jpg
2. Is there is a way to reduce the full size of the featured image? 🙂
Thanks.
Hi,
Thank you, i just used the regenerate plugin and it fixed the problem with the images, it works like a charm now 🙂
Regarding the footer, i’m using the default one but i don’t find any option to reduce the width, i also tried to change the footer stretch in theme panel > template setting > force full width but it changed nothing so i’m not sure.
I have another question regarding the standard pack plugin, it’s said in this post that to gain even more speed we should desactivate the standard pack plugin but each time i do it, my home page get all buged .. pretty sure i’m missing something, could you please help me ?
I found the solution for me, the thumbnails was not exists. I had to activate them in block section and regenerate them.
Hi,
Disappeared from where exactly? The post pages or the modules, or both? If there are featured images set https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/ and you regenerated the thumb sizes that are active in the theme panel https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ then there should be no problem, at least for the modules. You don’t have to replace the featured images is they are already set for each post.
Please provide a link to the website so I can take a look. Or send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login as well. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!
I installed the theme without replacing content. My posts were all retained and placed across the homepage, but all the featured images disappeared. I tried the regenerate thumbnails plugin and completed the regeneration process but still no featured images. In the posts I also cannot see featured images on the document sidebar.
Is there a fix? I have hundreds of post and would very much prefer not to manually replace these images.
I disabled all the plugins (except TagDiv and Yoast) and purged the cache (W3 Total Cache and Cloudflare, I also bypassed it) and I have not solved anything.
I also noticed that I cannot change anything in the Cloud Templates because my regularly bought and active key does not work and gives me an error.
I could edit all the templates except the footer (and I don’t know why), and I can’t even import it since I get a key error.
Any changes I make are not saved, they are stalled and it also happens in another site that I manage on another hosting, different uses, different plugins.
WP Editor doesn’t work when I try to edit in TD Editor (title with text), results in a blank page on both sites.

Any idea why sometimes 1 or 2 pictures on some posts will not show on mobile.
– This does not affect all my posts, only a few posts i have noticed this with
– Some pictures show, some dont.
I have regenerated all my thumbnails, switched them all on in block settings too. however this is not a thumbnail issue.
i have deactivated all plugin, apart from tagdiv ones.
I’m in the process of migrating my page and rebuilding it.
During my edits I discovered I’m not able to use image presets (25% 50% 75% 100%) the image is resizing visually, but not on the page – always stays full size.
I’m trying to make an image smaller.
http://35.192.55.254/featured/new-ewelink-app-and-paid-plans/
<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized">
</figure></div>
I noticed that I can make it smaller if I edit the HTML and remove <figure></figure> block but it breaks the image block in gutenberg.
I imported pictures vis FTP and then added it to Media database with a plugin. Note, that I don’t have any images resized in the database, I set the WP settings for images to 0 and I will regenerate thumbs later.
Any solutions?
Hi,
Can you tell me whether there are any known issues running Newspaper X on EasyWP WordPress servers operated by Namecheap?
I have cloned a live site from there to my own server to change over to Newspaper X but a number of problems are arising.
1) When I try to use TDComposer to edit the homepage I got a 500 Internal Server error. The server log entry was:
Fri May 15 09:20:08 2020] [error] [client 86.168.47.31:0]
[Fri May 15 09:20:08 2020] [error] [client 86.168.47.31:0] mmap() failed: [12] Cannot allocate memory
[Fri May 15 09:20:08 2020] [error] [client 86.168.47.31:0] End of script output before headers: post.php
I spoke with the server company and they advised to increase server memory in php.ini and wp_config to 512m which I did but this did not resolve the issue.
2) Other errors are:
[Fri May 15 09:30:40 2020] [error] [client 86.168.47.31:0] PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant TDC_PATH_LEGACY – assumed ‘TDC_PATH_LEGACY’ (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/sites/terryally.com/public_html/newsroom/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/td-composer.php on line 109

3) When I try to enable thumb on module/blocks for the template. These were not saving. I installed Regenerate Thumbnail but this was not “seeing” the sizes.
I deleted the entire site and started from scratch with a clean install of WP then installed Newspaper X. Rather than importing the entire site including plugins, I just imported the pages/posts and media. That works.
But that is a workaround. My concern is when I try to go live with Newspaper X on EAsyWP that it might malfunction. The reason that I raise this is because they have a must-use plugin which is proprietary and it blocks plugins like WP-super-cache which is recommended by TagDiv.
My server specs are:
WordPress 5.4.1
Apache/2.4.41 (Unix)
php.ini memory limit: 512MB
PHP version 7.3.15 (EasyWP runs and requires 7.3)
MySQL version 5.0.12
You can see full specs at http://www.terryally.com/info.php.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
May I fix a dimension for mobile theme homepage thumbs?
Because i see on my mobile the images are different one from another, i’ve already installed Imagify and also regenerate thumb on the whole site.
installed Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and regenerate thumbnails for my all attachment file , but that function not work properly
Hi,
That is not an error, you do not have set a cloud template, you only try to edit a standard template that is not editable.
Yes, these files need to be set in child theme, if not will be lost when you’ll make the theme update. Also you’ll need t regenerate the images after you made the changes in theme files -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thank you!
The theme need to create thumbs for each thumb enable in theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ if the images that you are uploading in media library are to small the theme can not create these thumbs, therefore you need to use a plugin to regenerate the images to the size that your theme needs -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If the problem persist please provide me a link to your website and some example.
Please enable only the thumbs dimension you use.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
You have to activate the format of the thumbnails used in the Mobile version. Go to your theme panel > Block settings > Thumbs on Modules/Blocks.
Then, you may have to regenerate your thumbnails. To do so, use a plugin and it should be pretty straightforward.
Best,
Hi,
Thank you for your response but the theme was installed on a complete new site (no existing content at all). I installed the theme and then started adding content.
I have installed the plugin you mentioned and regenerated the thumbs but did not notice any changes. Plugins not in use have been disabled and cache cleared.
Please check the site https://www.citoyens.news/ and you will find images on the homepage which are not responsive when used in different type of grids.
Looking forward for your feedback.
Thank you
Hi,
Please try to regenerate the thumbs -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Also the flex blocks can be adjusted to look the same as block 7 you can import it from cloud section -> https://i.imgur.com/TH3cnKo.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/L63X4LU.png -> https://i.imgur.com/PmlPf1v.png -> https://i.imgur.com/6507S0l.png the block will be set at the bottom of the page/template and you can drag it from there where you want.
Thank you!
Thanks Vlad,
I confirm that the script does not resize image but it regenerate missing thumbnails.
These images are not optimized (I used https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/). Could you suggest me a plugin to optimize the weight of these images?
Thanks
Hello !
The regenerate option will not resize the images. You will have to do that manually or find a 3rd party plugin for it.
Thank you !
