Hi,
What you can do is to remove the featured image from template. If you are using a single post templates, you can edit it with tagDiv Composer and use the right click to remove it. If you are using a standard post style, you can remove the featured image from code or use a post template without featured image (style 5 or 12).
Thank you!
I’ve just installed a Pro demo and want to follow the best practice.
I came across this note from tagDiv documentation…
Important notice: If you choose to install a demo with content, do not edit the content and use it as your site content, because the content gets removed when uninstalling or switching demos.
Does this refer to posts, pages, and/or cloud templates? Of course, I plan to have my own branding and blog articles, but for the Pro installed pages and cloud templates, is it recommended to rename them?
Also, is there any impact when there is a theme update applied in future.
Thanks.
But what elements? Instead, we have already removed extra elements by theme. Like post views, comments, tag, source, etc. There is nothing extra that should cause a slow mobile theme speed.

Hi worldinsport,
Usually the h1 is set on logo, if you are using a cloud header from tagDiv Cloud Library, you can have a different H1 per page/posts, another way is to using the Page Builder + Page Title on page template, this should set your page title as h1 and remove the h1 from logo.
If you want that your title to have the h1 set instead of logo, then please check if you are using a cloud header, if yes, then you can edit it with tagDiv Composer and disable the h1 -> http://prntscr.com/q1ohji from desktop and make sure that you do the same for mobile logo -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xVUjIMUelXA2 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ABTw6DUnbMjH and the problem will be solved!
The above code that you mentioned is set in many files, but is not the one that is set the h1 -> https://i.imgur.com/OToEtow.png
If there is still a problem, please provide me a link where I can check this problem.
Thank you!
Hi Support Team,
My newspaper theme appearance has been acting up a lot recently as we are starting to grow in users and size. I have found that after removing plugins or altering content on the backend and reposting it, helps get the website back to normal appearance.
However, this time when I am not logged into my website, the appearance on the desktop is that of the mobile theme. (latest articles) It looks horrible. I can’t possibly grow my business if I know that these problems will appear for no apparent reason for our readers. Please help me. https://buttonwoodtree.net/
EDIT: I removed the mobile theme tagdiv plugin, as well as the AMP. Problem solved except on the mobile theme it is now the regular style of the website (preferred) but my readers can’t login.
Please help me with this as I would like to continue using tagdiv newspaper for the long term as many of my competitors do as well. What can I do to limit these random massive malfunctions?
Thank you,
Noah
1. I know this has been covered before in support, but are there any up to date recommendations for a landing page style template for Posts and Pages?
For example, I would want my pages/posts to look like this, content centered, with no sidebar:
https://backlinko.com/visual-search-ranking-factors
my current posts have the sidebar, but if I remove the sidebar, the content area is way too wide and looks really poor on Desktop:
https://nichefacts.com/dreams/
2. Is there a way to use the Tagdiv page builder to edit the default footer? I used the Theme Panel to get the default footer on nichefacts.com to about 95% where I want it, but there’s small things I can’t seem to adjust in the Theme Panel like the “about us” text, the “contact us” text, I’d also want to filter out some Categories from “Popular Category”.
3. Also, is there a way to hide page titles? Really doesn’t make sense on sales pages to have the page title on top of the page
Hi,
The view counter can be change, stop or reset, also you have the possibility to set manually the number of view, go in posts and enable the custom fields -> https://i.imgur.com/NavHTFn.png after that down in post will appear the the custom field options -> https://i.imgur.com/waKZBHe.png chnage it -> https://i.imgur.com/NAFEi9p.png and check the results.
The theme will count using the theme counter and analytics counts using it’s own counter. There is no simple way to make them both work using the same parameters. The real and unique value for your visitors is given by Google Analytics. Our post view counter will count any post-visualization, even if the post is visited twice by the same person and that’s why appear that difference.
To remove the view count from a cloud template like in your case, you need to edit the single post template with tagDiv Composer and use the right click to remove the elements you do not want to have.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
About a week ago we updated our Newspaper Theme and TagDiv plugins as we were installing a new plugin that wasn’t working properly (Classified Listing) and also MailPoet. We started noticing an error message when opening a page with TagDiv Editor that said “content wasn’t created by TagDiv” and a few of the features (like being able to click on the Row/Column/Editor header on an element weren’t able to be accessed) but things weren’t as broken as they are now.
We decided not to use the plugins after determining they didn’t suit our purposes, but they were still sitting on the site. We’ve lost a lot of control within the Tag Div composer. We were getting red Modal errors, iframe errors and we can’t delete any elements (the display changes to the transparent black overlay but nothing happens and the only way out is to close the tab and it pop’s up with a “leave and your changes will not be saved” message.
I can only change existing content by editing something and saving it, but I can’t make any further changes than this. We removed the new plugins (by deleting them) we also deactivated all plugins and then reactivated all the tagdiv only plugins and it was still broken.
We ended up restoring our website back to the 16th June (before any of these changes were made) using the Jetpack backup feature. It didn’t fix the problem. So we restored back to the 4th June (which was the last time we had edited the site as we do monthly newsletters) and we know it was absolutely working from back then. It still isn’t working.
We can add and edit posts without a problem, we can use the classic editor on the front end for pages that don’t use TagDiv, but we can’t Edit with TagDiv Composer. There are error messages in the code for JS wrapper and, “TypeError: Cannot read property ‘length’ of undefined
at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (post.php? post_id=1802&td_action=tdc&tdbTemplateType=page&prev_url=%2F%2Fthelatzreport.com.au%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit.php%3Fpost_type%3Dpage:3375) etc etc.
We’re currently running the site on WordPress 5.4.2 (hosted with WordPress).
We have 10.3.2 installed from the backup/restore process.
We have version 2.5 Composer installed from 1st April as a result of the backup/restore process.
We had to get the site working as our major monthly newsletter went out this morning.
It would be helpful for someone to be able to assist us with the coding problems so this can be resolved without further breaking the site.
Thanks in advance
On my website’s home page: https://www.sanantonioinfocus.com/ I have 2 h1 tags. I have an h1 tag on the logo, even though I have clicked “Disable H1 on logo”. I only want the h1 tag on the headline “The definitive source for information on San Antonio, its people, its lifestyle, its culture, its business.”
However, on all my posts, the “Disable h1 on logo” seems to be working because my post title is the only h1 on their pages.
How do I remove the h1 tag on my home page?
Hi HamzaAm,
If you want to remove the Next/Prev buttons then you can use a custom css if you need help with this, just provide me a link to that post and I will help you.
If you want to be on more posts, then you can use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and you can edit it using tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
The social share buttons that you want to have on your website can be set from theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-default-templates/ now if you are using a single post template from tagDiv Cloud library, you’ll need to edit it with tagDiv Composer and use this option to remove the like button -> https://i.imgur.com/fpS5KMG.jpg and you can set theme where you want in page/post content.
Also this -> https://i.imgur.com/UXVxix0.png is not a social share button is the newsletter widget -https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-newsletter-plugin/ you can set it using tagDiv Composer.
As for the performance using share buttons, I do not know if there will be some changes, these are static elements should not be affect the site speed.
Thank you!
Hi,
For this you need to use in css the id of the post/article and the code should look like this -> https://i.imgur.com/w3TtVRo.png the post id can be get from inside the article -> https://i.imgur.com/FzWEg9F.png
The code need to be set in theme panel > custom code> custom css and for mobile theme in theme panel> mobile theme> custom code> css.
If the code is not working you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the post where you want to remove this button and include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!
When I use the tagDiv Composer, it will adding p tags to my post content, and I already adding remove_filter ( ‘the_content’ , ‘wpautop’ );
remove_filter ( ‘the_excerpt’ , ‘wpautop’ );
to my function.php. But when I use the tagDiv to create post page, P tag comes again!
I believe I need delete something in tagDiv Composer, what should I do?
Hi,
For this you can use a custom css, if you want I can help you with this, just provide a link to the post that you want to remove the FB like button.
Thank you!
Hi,
All the requirements for database are made on admin-ajax.php ( all the settings from theme panel, posts, pages, etc.), therefore you can not remove these from your website, if you want you can remove the pagination, from the website, loading more, the search and the number of admin-ajax.php requests will be smaller.
for the edit problem of page with tagDiv Composer, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
unfortunately only the posts loop elements has pagination, also you can remove/replace it only if you are using a cloud template, category template these can be edited with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/BvOSTxt.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/3EJKXgS.png also you can edit it from here -> https://i.imgur.com/8GwgsFg.png
Thank you!
Hi,
The latest articles can be set on pages in two ways, you need to check theme both.
1. Check if this is set from page template -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/ for this open the page like this -> https://i.imgur.com/dht9Ghi.png and set it on default template https://i.imgur.com/mQQmMC8.png
2. It can be set using tagDiv Composer https://i.imgur.com/sEduUqM.jpg using the posts loop element, this can be remove using the right click -> https://i.imgur.com/8YIg3dL.png
Hope this will help you better!
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately our them do not have this option, but you can use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library, edit it with tagDiv Composer and use the right click to remove the featured image, in this way the featured image selected inside the article will be set only on modules.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
The background image is not apply on homepage because of the “Homepage post” element, this element has some options to set the posts images on full screen and this option is overwriting the background image option, the only way to use background on homepage is to remove with tagDiv Composer this element -> https://i.imgur.com/bvNmRds.jpg
Thank you!
Hi,
If you want to change the translation, you can do it from here -> wp-content/themes/Newspaper/translation/pl_PL.po -> https://i.imgur.com/OcktGqS.png
If you want to remove the author box you can do it from theme panel for default post style -> https://i.imgur.com/d24gsk2.png or if you are using cloud templates (PRO Demo or a single post template) those can be edited with tagDiv Composer and use the right click to remove the elements you do not want to have.
Thank you!
Hi sproutnepal,
1. Our documentation is online, it can be found in these these links:
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/
-> https://tagdiv.com/category/documentation/
2. If you are using a cloud header or a PRO Demo, you can edit with tagDiv Composer the homepage and remove the login element using the right click https://i.imgur.com/acOqrXR.png -> https://i.imgur.com/678Y1Wk.png and make sure that the option from theme panel is disable -> https://i.imgur.com/fRIb2xO.png this will remove the code for login, but if you are using a standard/default header style, this will be only hide.
3. The ajax view count is needed only if you are using some cache plugins, in order that the counter to work, this need to be enable -> https://i.imgur.com/nzf6qZy.png also if you are using a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library, you can add the element using tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/Vpv3uIe.png -> https://i.imgur.com/AQ5lloh.png
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check this similar topic ->https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-preview-for-linked-menu-page/#post-351456
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi worldinsport,
If you are using the responsive version, then the results will be present on mobile too, but the sidebar will be after post content because the width on mobile is very small and it do not had space to be set in the right.
If you are using the mobile theme plugin, then the sidebar will be removed from mobile version.
Thank you!
Hi,
If the sidebar is not apply on your posts, that is because you are using a single post template from tagDiv Cloud library, this can be edited using tagDiv Composer. What you can do to keep the template layout and to have a sidebar selected by you is to edit it like this -> https://i.imgur.com/jK8VGvX.png and use the right click to remove the elements you do not want, also if you have an sidebar made from widgets and you want to display it for posts, you can drag the element from composer and select the sidebar -> https://i.imgur.com/MkCuCRg.png -> https://i.imgur.com/S5hgJ9u.png or if you want to be able to set individual sidebars, then you need to use a standard post style -> https://i.imgur.com/L5q9aUK.png
Thank you!
Hi,
If you want, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Yes, this option for infinite loading is general, will be apply or remove for all single posts templates.
Thank you!
