Does it happen for all pages? try with a new page, see if the same happens. Could be something specific to that page.
Also be sure to check the theme requirements guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

If the problem is happening at all times, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can take a look.

Hi,

Please check the theme requirements and increase all you php.ini directives at least to recommended – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Usually this issue is related to upload_max_filesize and post_max_size directives.
Let us know.

Thanks!

Hi,

I believe you mean Visual composer (now WPBakery page builder). The front-end capability of this composer is disabled in our theme, this has always been the case. There could be problems using the WPBakery front-end builder with the theme, or to create posts
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Having both WPBakery and the tagDiv composer active could create problems in some cases.

However 500 errors can be caused by insufficient resources, mainly WP-memory. For most users a value of 256M would be enough
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Try to increase this if it’s necessary and possible. Contact the hosting provider to modify it for you if needed.

Hi,

So you have problems using the composer. The first thing to check would be the theme requirements, system status section
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
It is imperative that the parameters mentioned in the guide are configured properly. Insufficient resources can cause many issues with the theme or the plugins, if needed ask your hosting provider to increase them as specified. Then check if the issue is solved, chances are it will be.

If there is no need for modifications in that matter, in some cases the solutions from these topics worked for composer problems, you could give them a try if possible
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/ (this worked in many cases)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/

Let us know if any of these suggestions fixed the problem and which one, or the problem remains.

Thanks

Hi, I’ve been using Newspaper theme since a long time now. Recently, the version 9 update caused major issues in my website. the TD composer doesn’t work. The page loads into a blank page. I disabled all the plugins, reinstalled the theme through fresh download but the problem didn’t resolve. I can’t find any error in the console windows either.

I also installed a wordpress blog separately just to test the theme and surprisingly the same issue was there even with the fresh wordpress install. I can’t seem to find a fix for this problem. TD Composer always fails to load.

I checked my system status and I meet all the requirements. Here’s a screenshot of my system status: https://ibb.co/cbdJpe

Please help me resolve this issue.

The message you get is quite common with WordPress. In most cases it can be easily fixed.

For example – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-link-you-followed-has-expired/
In that case the max upload size was limited, increasing it solved the problem. Usually this is the main cause.

Check this guide carefully and make modifications if needed
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If everything is set properly there should be no problem. Contact your hosting provider if needed and ask them to make changes as the guide suggests.

You can also install the theme by FTP, that is not difficult to do and it’s very useful to know how to use FTP. If our guide is not detailed enough check some more online

Hi,

I see the page is displayed at the moment – http://prntscr.com/kqr7oa
There should be no problem importing a cloud homepage and setting it in the WordPress settings.

The issues with the thumbnails can be solved by regenerating them
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
That will recreate the thumbnails needed fro blocks, grids etc
https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/

For composer problems there are a few thing to check. First would be the requirements guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources most likely will cause problems.

If there is no need for modifications in that matter, in some cases the solutions from these topics worked for blank pages and other composer problems, you could give them a try if possible
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/

Please let us know if there still is a problem and we will investigate more.

Thanks

Hello scotte,

First of all, make sure that your system status parameters are increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/ Most likely, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot say anything.

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

@Aman
Singh You could have opened a new topic with this problem.

Did the problem occur before or stated happening after a recent event? Does it happen if you try in a new page? What if you try with other text elements? Also what theme version are you using?

Are there enough resources? – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Let us know.
Thanks

Hello,

Please make sure you meet the requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Let us now if you still get the error after setting the proper parameters.

Thanks

Those may be insufficient from what I can see in the system status screenshot. It is very important that these values are respected
https://www.screencast.com/t/aDnEkrDmhw
The WP-memory can be set higher than the recommended 96M if possible. These would be basic requirements for most premium themes. Usually the hosting provider can do this for you, it should be an easy task for them.
There may be problems with the theme and theme plugins if there are insufficient resources.

Hi,

That would be the former “Are You Sure You Want to Do This? Please Try Again” message. It may be displayed when trying to add a new page or post.

The first thing to try is to increase the WP-memory. We recommend these values which would be sufficient in most cases
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Check the guide carefully and if needed ask your hosting provider to make modifications to those parameters.

There are also some other things to investigate if the issue persists

Hello Kyle_newspaper,

Did you have checked your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

Seems the theme is active at the moment, the website also seems to function correctly. What exactly happened before?, more details would be very helpful.
Indeed a one time activation with a license key is required, once activated it should not reset.

As long as the theme requirements are met there should be no problem
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

We recommend these Cloudflare settings

Hi,

So there are problems activating the theme in WordPress themes settings? Does the theme activate despite those messages or it fails completely?
Try deactivating all non-theme plugins as a test, if you made any modifications to WordPress please remove them temporarily. Then try and activate the theme again.

Also be sure to check the theme requirements guide carefully
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Let us know what you find, or what solved the problem.
Thanks

Hi,

So you mean the thumbnails disappeared from blocks/grids modules? Maybe after changing the filter settings the new posts which appear don’t have featured images set
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
If that is the case there will be no thumbnails created
https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/

But you say the images disappeared in the whole website and also the tagDiv composer plugin has been removed? Now that is unusual. Could be related to insufficient resources, specially WP memory
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
I would suggest that you contact the hosting provider and ask them to increase the values of the parameters mentioned in the guide if necessary.
Also maybe they can check if something happened with the server or database recently.

Hi,

Did you maybe made any modifications to WordPress files, mainly the functions.php file. Seems the error points to it “public_html/wp-includes/functions.php”. Remove the modifications if you made any, or if you entered custom code in it remove it as well.

Also check if the theme requirements are met fully, check if the required PHP extensions are active
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Contact your hosting provider for assistance in activating the extensions if needed, also mention the error to them, maybe they have an idea about the problem.

Make sure your host meets the theme requirements https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/. Also, check this solution https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tagdiv-composer-not-working-11/

Checked theme requirements, everything looks good.

Created an htaccess file in public_html, adding the following to the file:
<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>

Added this to wp-config
define ( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, true );

TD Composer side bar comes up, but not main window. Error message in main window is:
Error at rows: 9(models) : 0(dom). The model does not match the content.

Deactivated all plugins except TD Composer, clearing caches, restarting now. Will update.
