- NewsmagRequirements for Newsmag
- NewsmagBlock settings tutorial
Hi,
There would be no relation between the two plugins. If deactivating a plugin is improving the situation, maybe there are not enough resources to go around. Try to increase them as mentioned in the guide or higher if possible
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks
Hello Alex,
This happens when you update the theme or change themes temporarily. This is a common issue with all WP themes/installs. Not theme specific. Also, I will recommend you to check with your hosting provider as to where the error log is. 500 error means site crashed on ping/visit — could be overload — did you assign enough memory to your install? Please also check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If you use a child theme, that means you have custom code implementation (otherwise the child theme is pointless). Please restore the theme to its default state and test without any customization. That means, activating the main theme and removing all custom code. If your child theme has not been updated properly, all sorts of issues can occur. Please update your theme to the latest version and test without a child theme. if the problem goes away then you need to re-create your child thebe by using the one that comes bundled in our theme package.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
In most cases this was caused by either a plugin conflict or low memory allocation. The error log on your host will clue you into exactly why this happens. We recommend using this guide first: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and then deactivate all plugins and activate the tagdiv composer first. make sure it is up and running properly and then activate all other plugins.
Let us know if you still have trouble and if you do, i will need that error log report so we can get an idea of why this happens.
if you want to contact us privately, you can do so via contact@tagdiv.com
Thank you!
Hello josh80,
Do you have check the themețs requirements? Also, do you have increased the allocated resources where needed?
Let us know how it goes after you have made these changes.
Thanks.
Did this ever get resolved? I’m having the same issue. I have triple-checked all of the settings in the requirements document linked to above.
Everything seems to be working with the Newspaper theme EXCEPT, I can’t use the TagDiv Composer. I get a 502 Error every time.
Hello industrylink360,
Do you have increased your system status parameters to be according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks for the message!
Those are the patch files, files that were modified from the previous version to the new one.
If you want to update by patch you can use those files. Note that each patch is required if you update from an older version, you cannot skip one update. They are not cumulative, meaning that the last one does not contain all the previous ones.
That issue with the Cloud library was in some cases caused by plugins, you could check that as a first step. We also continually try to improve the plugin, which is in beta phase at the moment. Be sure to check the theme requirements guide as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Hi Tombeh1,
Please check your system status parameters to be correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Most likely, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot upload any images.
P.S If you keep replying in your own topic, the answer will be delayed. We answer from oldest to newest which is fair for all users.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
1. So the theme panel is not working properly? In most cases where the theme panel is continuously loading with no result, the issue was caused by limited resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
The mentioned parameters have to be set according to the guide or there most likely will be problems.
If there is no need for such modifications, there could be another cause. In some previous cases that was caused by a server firewall or security plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-options-2/
Check while saving in the browser inspector console, if there are any errors they will be shown there.
Let us know the results.
2. I have not seen that before. Does the same happen if you deactivate all other plugins? Leave only theme plugins and Yoast active and there should be no problem. It could be another plugin that causes the issue. This way you can tell if that is the case.
Thanks
Hi,
Maybe the theme did not install properly. Check if the theme exists in the WordPress themes folder on the server
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1rwgwYpc7mI
As long as you follow the guides there should be no problem
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/
The theme can be installed just like other themes, nothing special about it’s installation process. Be sure to check the theme requirements guide as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Hi,
Those are general recommendations for the server and WordPress environment. These would be requirements for most themes. It is also specified in the guide that the hosting may have a recommended method for configuring these parameters
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jGQupzzz
Contacting the host or website administrator for assistance would be a proper way to do it, in most cases they do it on request for you. So you could try that if needed.
We could also take a look at the issues you are having. We will need admin access and cPanel sent at contact@tagdiv.com to have a closer look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
There were some issues with the text and raw HTML elements in the new update, but they should be fixed in 9.0.1. Other than those there would be no other problems.
Hi,
So you want to use the tagDiv composer or WPBakery? Both work properly with the theme. We still provide the WPBakery plugin and update it regularly.
First be sure to check the updated theme requirements guide, top to bottom
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If there is no need for modifications in that matter, in some cases the solutions from these topics worked for tagDiv composer problems, you could give them a try if possible
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Let us know if there is still a problem.

Hey Simion,
Your support is not adequate enough man.
Let me tell you why.
Regarding to this comment of yours.
Please also review the theme requirements guide, top to bottom carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient WP-memory can cause problems with the composer for example.
You see, I am not a teckie guy. I don’t understand how to increase max_input_vars or the memory limit or stuff like that. It’s not my job to know how to do them. All I know is that I’ve updated my theme (more like downgraded it) with the new V9.0 version and hell broke loose.

In some cases these solutions worked for composer issues

Again, tech stuff. I am a blogger, a website owner. I know how to manage. I pay to buy themes for my websites that have good support and good updates. I pay to have a hosting account with 24X7 live chat to fix any errors occur. Not spending DAYYYYS to Google solutions and try to do things myself.
When are you going to issue an update (a good one this time) that will fix our problems? Why won’t you answer that and stop trying to evade things by throwing me links to other threads.
Hi,
So did you update the theme plugins eventually or not?

Hello oscariribe,
Check your PHP version to be maximum 7.2, make a re-save at your permalinks, increase the system status parameters to be according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, you should check the following topics from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/ https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello coachk12,
Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme, the system status parameters are correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/, clear all the caches and check the results. Try to resave your permalinks and check after the results.
Thanks for the message!
The theme should be re-uploaded today, I will mention it here. The issues are mostly with the text and raw HTML elements of the tagDiv composer, they do not function correctly.
@Jair Prandi and @todayidol So you update and cannot login in the website. Please make sure there are enough resources especially WP memory
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Similar issues or 500 errors were solved by increasing it to 256M if possible.
@silvaniodc Double check if the theme plugins are updated and active. Then go the theme panel sub-footer settings, select the multi-purpose template and save
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rzsO8GLNtuX
Let me know if that fixes it.
Hi,
What page are you referring to? Are the WordPress and server parameters mentioned in the theme requirements guide set properly?
Please follow the guide carefully and make modifications where needed, contact your hosting for assistance if necessary.
Also try deactivating all non-them plugins and check again. Let us know what you find.
Thanks
Hi,
When does the error appear? Please also check the theme requirements guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Increase the WP memory if needed, for most users a value of 256M would be sufficient. Also these solutions worked for some users with composer issues

Hello zlatanwil,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
-> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ro&url=http%3A%2F%2Fyesitreallyhappened.com%2F&tab=desktop
Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.
Notice that the function which have to be added in functions.php is -> td_inspect_scripts() as you can see in our useful guide.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.
One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Basically, these are the theme requirements
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
That file is not supported to be modified in a child theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
It is a critical file of the theme. Best you do not modify it in any way (or make a backup if you do), or there could be problems. Try to optimize the website by other means, instead of removing code from the theme files.
Why exactly do you want to delete the blocks and modules files? You can use any block type you want in pages, only those will be loaded. If you want to optimize more, maybe try and use fewer block types with same modules
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
Reduce the number of blocks with pagination as well.
Also check the theme requirementsr guide for a proper functionality
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks
Hello Thomas,
Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ if you want to make some transition between Visual Composer and TD Composer.
Be sure to check the theme requirements guide carefully, top to bottom
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources can cause problems. For composer loading problems also check these topics
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hi,
Usually those are related to insufficient memory, try to increase it
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Gradually as the website gets bigger, as more plugins are installed etc the WP memory will become insufficient. For most users a 256M limit would be enough.
Try to increase the value if needed, then check if the problem is solved.
