- NewsmagRequirements for Newsmag
- NewsmagBlock settings tutorial
Hi desbravandomadrid,
Please notice that 500 errors do not come from our theme. It seems to be a problem with your hosting provider. Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, all the system status parameters are correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
There are guides that should be read when changing themes in a live website. Some here
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/checklist-15-things-you-must-do-before-changing-wordpress-themes/
– https://www.wpexplorer.com/change-wordpress-theme/
Usually it is best to test everything locally before making the change live, also to use a maintenance mode to set everything up (to avoid ).
Currently the Newspaper theme seems inactive from what I can see. There is a tiny framework theme active.
Be sure to check the theme requirements as well for a proper functionality
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Now as I write it seems the theme is active. I see the travel blog demo is installed. I will help you if you have any questions, the website looks alright from what I can see. Please let me know.
Thanks
Hello frangdelsolar,
This problem is caused by your hosting provider. Ensure that all of the theme requirements are met according to our documentation which I gave you above. Also, please remove all of the untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues.
Thanks for your understanding!
Please also make sure you meet the requirements for the theme:https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks
Hello,
This happens either because of plugin conflicts or because of poor memory allocation. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thank you!
Hi,
Does that happen with all the pages when you use the composer? Try it with a new page.
Could be insufficient memory and other parameter values
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Eventually memory could run out and problems may begin to happen. Or maybe you installed a plugin or made some modification before the issues started to happen, that is worth checking as well. Does the same happen if you deactivate all plugins except theme plugins?
In some cases when the composer failed to load, these solutions worked
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
You could give these a try, let us know if one of these suggestions solves the problem or it’s still happening.
Hi,
– Those issues could be caused by insufficient resources, the theme has some requirements. If there aren’t sufficient resources for example, there could be problems
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
It is very important that everything is set as mentioned in the guide, WP memory can be set higher if possible. Usually the hoisting provider can take care of the modifications where needed.
– The Revolution slider is a demanding plugin, the cause for it not appearing could be related. Once it is placed in a page and the page is saved and viewed, the slider should appear (it will not load in the page edit screen)
– Some footer templates come with predefined content, some are empty. Choose the one you want to use in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
You can also use the Cloud footer templates – http://prntscr.com/kkpat9
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
– The header will be the same in the whole website, not by page. It will be displayed as you configure it. The unique things about each page is it’s content and the page template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XplVPginyw
– For previewing posts on difference view ports there would be no tool at the moment. Pages can be previewed in the composer, but posts don’t have such an option.
– AMP posts will be served by Google only, they are accessible through Google search. If the user does not visit the website from there, the mobile theme variant will be displayed if active. So they can be both active at the same time mobile theme and AMP.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hello dmiss0730,
Check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Also, ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way and remove all of the untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
So you have problems using the composer. What exactly is happening when you try to edit a page? Does it happen with a new page or only with some specific pages?
The first thing to check would be the theme requirements, system status section
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
It is imperative that the parameters mentioned in the guide are configured properly. Insufficient resources can cause many issues with the theme or the plugins, if needed ask your hosting provider to increase them as specified. Then check if the issue is solved.
If there is no need for modifications in that matter, in some cases the solutions from these topics worked for composer problems, you could give them a try if possible
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/ (this worked in many cases)
Let us know if any of these suggestions fixed the problem and which one, or the problem remains.
Thanks
Hello Kristo Noir,
Will this error happen for another template or only for this Fitness Blog Footer template? Did you have tried? I have tested on my side and everything seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/S454Vl8Zd9 If the problem persists, please check the Server upload permissions to be correctly set up and also, the system status requirements to be right increased according to our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
So the theme panel is not functioning correctly? What exactly is happening? Do you get the continuous loading animation and theme panel is not responding or opening the sections you are accessing?
If that is the case, the first thing to do would be to follow this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources can cause problems like that. Increase them as mentioned, or contact the hosting provider and ask them to make the necessary modifications if required.
Or it could be caused by a security module or plugin. If you use Wordfence set it on learning more
– https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/options/
Similar topic here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-options-2/
Let us know if there is still a problem or I misunderstood something.
Thanks
Hi,
@Viju It is not quite clear what you want to do. That is the default WordPress blog page, the theme doesn’t have many settings for this blog page. The default wordpress page shows latest articles.
The breadcrumbs can be removed in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/breadcrumbs/
Maybe you should consider using a static homepage built in any way possible with the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
It all depended on how you want the page to look, the tagDiv composer has many elements and settings.
Are there problems with the composer not loading properly? Usually this happens when there are not enough resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Some of the following solutions also fixed problems in some cases, give them a try
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Thanks
Hi,
Please check the theme requirements guide as a first step
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Check with your hosting so they can increase the allocated resources if needed. Theme is compatible with PHP versions up to 7.2, also there are some modules that are required (mentioned in the guide).
Then the theme should install just fine
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Let us know if there is still a problem, or what you did to fix it.
Thanks

Hello avengerxp,
Do you have installed the latest version of the theme? Also, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
I did now install this library. But I was not able to find one single post template that met my requirements.
Take a look at this post from The New York Times:
You can clearly see that the excerpt from the homepage is again below the title. That’s want I want to achieve. This should be not so difficult. There’s not one pre-made template where is it like this.
Hello,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
-> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ro&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lideremprego.com%2F
Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.
One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Basically, these are the theme requirements

Hello xenia.arg,
Check the System status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also, check the server permissions.
Thanks for your understanding!
I’ve checked system status and it’s ok, and system requirements as well. I just can’t work with this. It takes five minutes to get any response, even scrolling….
Hi,
Do you use the latest version of the theme? Does that happen for all pages or just for specific pages? If it started happening for specific pages only, that could happen due to some changes made to them. Try and return to a previous revision of the page in the back-end.
If it happens for all the pages, then it is a general problem. Could be insufficient resources or a plugin conflict. Check this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Check plugins by deactivating them all except theme plugins.
In some cases the solutions from these topics worked for composer problems, you could give them a try if possible

Thanks
Hi,
As long as the theme requirements are met, there should be no problem using it or it’s provided plugins. Usually hosting limitations cause problems, we recommend these settings

Hi,
First be sure to check the theme requirements guide, the most common cause for theme and theme plugin problems are insufficient resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Contact your hosting and ask them to increase the parameters mentioned in the guide, if they need to be increased.
