Hi,

Please provide more details so we can understand better what exactly is happening with the theme panel. Try to think what you did before the issue appeared. Maybe installed a plugin, entered some code somewhere that could have caused this.
Try deactivating all plugins and check if the issue is fixed.
Maybe the server and WordPress are not configured properly. Please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide if necessary
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to make them for you if needed. Insufficient PHP memory and the other parameters have a decisive role in the functionality of the theme and plugins.
Please let us know the results.

Thanks

Hi,

1. There should be no issue from the theme perspective, that would affect migrating the website. Use the migrating tools provided by the hosting, maybe make backups before. Theme panel settings can be exported as well
https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
If you have not yet activated the theme, you can activate it on the new location. Even if it were activated there is a setting in the theme system status to reset the activation key, for this purpose
https://www.screencast.com/t/CEFH7vSP

2. Usually that is caused by some server and WordPress parameters. These parameters can be seen in the theme system status. This is a guide mentioning the necessary values to ensure the proper functionality of the theme and provided plugins

Hello, on the system status of the template, there is written that I can update to version 8.1, but I can not download it, I only find version 8. How can I do it?

Hi,

The tagDiv composer is fully tested and compatible with the theme. It is created specifically for the theme and it should work properly in all cases. But other factors may interfere with the functionality.
Basically these are the theme requiremenets
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Along with these server and WordPress parameter configuration
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
A recommendation would be to reinstall the theme by FTP
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Use only theme plugins, deactivate and delete them and reinstall them from the theme package. Do not make any modifications to the theme files, check any custom code you might be using. If you use a child theme switch to the main theme.
Then check if everything works properly, let us know the results.

Hi,

Please check as suggested the theme system status and the server and WordPress parameters
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Sufficient PHP memory and the other parameters are imperative for the proper functionality of the theme and plugins.
The next step if the above suggestion does not resolve the issue, is to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, and clear all caching. Then create a new page and check if the composer works properly. Let us know the results.
The composer is tested and works fully with the theme, but other factors can cause problems.

Thanks

I have a page which I’m trying to edit with the TD Composer but I only see the menu on the left, the whole right side of the composer is entirely blank. I believe I’ve found a bug of some sort.

I’ve tried:
– Disabling all plugins
– Clearing cache
– Using different browsers

Also, my Statuses on the “page=td_system_status” page are all green except for caching which I am not currently using,

If I delete this page and try to recreate the page with the same permalink (e.g. /my-page) the issue continues. Is TD Composer caching a deleted permalink or something and getting confused (I believe I deleted this page once before)? I need access to this permalink so I can’t change it. I’ve also tried changing permalink settings and then putting them back with no joy.

I have found the following errors in the error_log:
PHP message: PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/fat.so/htdocs/wp-includes/post.php on line 1634
PHP message: PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/fat.so/htdocs/wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php on line 263

These seem to point to post_type, I tried setting the page to draft and TD Composer works! As soon as I publish the page again it stops working.

Would appreciate some further help trying to fix this issue.

Thanks

Hi,

If you still have the white page issue, please check the theme system status and see if these server and WordPress parameters are set according to the guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Insufficient PHP memory and the other parameters have a decisive role in the functionality of the theme and plugins.
Furthermore you can try to deactivate all plugins installed except theme plugins, to see if this is caused by a plugin.
Let us know if there is still a problem after checking and trying these suggestions.

Hi,

Admin level users have the possibility to install plugins. The theme does not interfere with the default user capabilities set by WordPress. There are multiple ways a plugin can be installed
http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/step-by-step-guide-to-install-a-wordpress-plugin-for-beginners/
There could be memory limit issue
http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/why-cant-i-add-or-install-plugins-in-wordpress/
Check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide if required
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting to make them for you if needed.

Thanks

Hi,

If the theme system status is set according to the guide, there should be no problem using the composer, unless something else is interfering.
Please deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, clear any installed cache and create a new page. Test the tagDiv composer and see if it works properly on the created page.
Do not edit pages built with Visual composer, using the tagDiv composer. If you use the Yoast SEO plugin make sure this option is disabled
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh
Also, if you are using the WP Super Cache plugin, please ensure that has been right setup according to our documentation here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Hi,

So the Visual composer editor is not working properly. Check the theme system status and see if the server and WordPress parameters are set according to this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Deactivate the Visual composer and delete it, then install it again from the theme package
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
If this does not have any effect, deactivate all plugins except the theme plugins, clear any caching installed and check again.

Thanks

Hi,

The theme has an option to reset the activation key, in the system status section
https://www.screencast.com/t/CEFH7vSP
Then it can be activated on the new domain.

Thanks

Hello kanal1,

First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest theme version which comes bundled with the theme core files and then, checks your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Also, make sure that you are using the latest WordPress version if you want to bring good results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Check system status once you activate. Try disabling plugins before trying to use.

Hi,

If the theme system status is properly set, there should be no problem of this kind. The tagDiv composer is fully tested and created specially for this theme.
Do not try to edit pages created with Visual composer, this can result in problems. Create new pages and edit them with this editor and everything should work as intended.
If you already tried and there is still a problem, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, so we can take a look.
Also paste a link to this topic in your email.

Hi,

If the theme panel does not save properly, please check the theme system status, and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to make them for you if needed, they might have a recommended method in this regard.
Then check if the issue is still present.

Hi,

The theme does not have any special options to import categories or products, like you mention. You can try that with a plugin that has these options or by the system you want and check if it works properly.
Check the theme system status before trying, and make modifications to these parameters if required (you could ask your hosting to make them for you if needed)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Thanks

Hello rodrigocouto,

Ensure that you are using the latest theme version which comes bundled with the theme core files. Check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ If you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these and leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, if the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the bundled plugin to rule out any conflicting plugins. If you are using a CDN system, you should purge all of the CDN files, clear all the caches and check the results.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello jules,

Check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Also, if you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files, you should disable all of them, clear all the caches and check the results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!

I’m having this same issue. I installed Newspaper 8.1 via FTP. My system status is all green and I have no other plugins enabled except Maintenance Mode, and I just get a white screen when trying to edit a page with tagDiv composer. I installed the composer plugin that came with the 8.1 zip as well. It’s just broken.

I have this same issue. My system status is all green.

The Edit Content link just brings up a popup that shows the loading symbol and never loads the editor. I also have an issue when pasting HTML into the Raw HTML element. It just won’t work. It won’t save the HTML I put in.

Disabling all my plugins isn’t a good option for me, since this is a production site. I’ve been using Newspaper for a long time now, but with version 8 and this new page builder, I’ve been having nothing but problems.

I also can’t afford to lose any of the plugins I have if there is a conflict. I never had a conflict with Newspaper 7.

What is going on with this?
