Hello praxs4u,

Please notice that you have to make a website run faster you will need to have at least basic knowledge not necessarily ‘tech savvy’.

You will need to follow this tutorial on page speed:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Gzip compression needs to be active and also read about how you can compress the images. I suggest to getting someone to help you if you cannot manage.
Also please make sure that Speed Booster is active, check System Status for this – http://screencast.com/t/LDPniI0Qpv The plugin is tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you have others active it will be automatically disabled.
In order to use the TagDiv speed booster with all plugins, you will need to remove this code – http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the message!

Hello,
For the first request, the first topic still applies.
For your second request please check your system status parameters and increase them accordingly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please check if you meet the system requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thank you!

I have edited the td-speedbooster.php file as indicated, since I use other plugins besides the approved ones, but the System Status page on the theme still says “v4.2 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected”

Is that notification supposed to go away once the PHP file has been edited?

Thanks!
Greg

I’m still experiencing EXTREME slowness in loading pages on the backend to edit them to the point that the browser goes unresponsive. Again, it is not all pages. It appears to be the pages with large blocks of HTML. All of the parameters in system status are set correctly and I even increased the WP Memory Limit parameter to 128 MB/request.

This does not affect the front end of the site which is very fast. This specifically has to do with the backend when loading pages to edit them and throughout the process of editing them in Visual Composer.

My site is running on a fast dedicated server so I know it’s not an issue with the power/performance of the server.

Please help.

Hi,

The theme has some server requirements as it is specified in our documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ please to increase php memory and the other parameters like it is specified in this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and also please follow the pagespeed optimization guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Lately the Visual Composer plugin was optimized a lot regarding the performance and security and recently we did not received any reports about this, also our theme is optimized to work with Visual Composer plugin.
You can also try to reduce the number of ajax using elements on page (mega menus, ajax pagination/load more/infinite load). Also reduce the number of blocks on your main page and enable only the plugins that you need to use.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you Chris!

@marcar
I have also checked your site and it seems that you have fixed the issue, for future please check our documentation and make sure you install/update the theme properly – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and if you have issues always is recommended to disable all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches to make sure that it is not a plugins issue, like Chris suggested. Also for System Status parameter please check this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Thanks!

Hi Catalin

When I go into the Newspaper System Status, Speed Booster is NOT shown anywhere – do I have to download it as a separate plugin?

Best regards

Thank you.
We were able to fix a few things shown here:
http://azoutdoormagazine.com/dev/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/SystemStatus.jpg
(The green squares were previously yellow)

We were unable to find GP Library, can you help with that? Do we need it? Can you show us how to install it?

Even with the fixes the image still do not appear on the home page as a featured image.
We are unsure if it has to do with a dimension or a file size issue.

Here are the links again:

Hello madeyoulookstudio,

First of all, please ensure that you do not have some conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all of them, except Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the plugins in conflict. Also, please check your Cpanel if you have installed the GD library and check your system status to be all the parameters green, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/OYfqZ5sPd, it is necessary to be green for a better results. If is not, you have to change this to be green, using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hi

Try to clear all caches, deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer active and test again, also verify the console for any errors while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
If the problem persist check system status values: http://screencast.com/t/xp51Hx9TQf
Increase max_execution_time at least at 300 and the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000. Those values are set in php.ini file so try to access it but note that some hosts may restrict the access at this file, if you don’t have access to it contact your host provider and let him know about this situation. Also check the WP_MEMORY_LIMIT from wp-config.php file, here it’s a guide regrading this
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!

Hi,
Please follow this guide in order to increase parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ You can also find solutions online to this problem as the parameters are changed from WP not our theme so a quick search through google will return quite a few results on the subject.
Thank you!

Sir, i have added

<IfModule mod_php5.c>
php_value max_input_vars 5000
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value post_max_size 50M
php_value suhosin.post.max_vars 5000
php_value suhosin.request.max_vars 5000
</IfModule>

this in my .htaccess file in wordpress directory but still i am getting yellow signal in max_execution_time, max_input_vars, SUHOSIN Installed, suhosin.post.max_vars, suhosin.request.max_vars under the System status

how to fix ?

Hello,
There is one more thing about the speedbooster plugin. It has a compatibility function. In it’s code you can see a list of plugins and if any other plugin is found that is not on the list, speedbooster will shut down.
Check in System status if the plugin is active: http://screencast.com/t/slBN4kNf To keep it always activated comment or delete the indicated lines from td-speed-booster.php: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh You can check this topic for more information about speed booster usage: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-questions/ Please ensure you have removed on have commented the correct snippet of the code.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
