Hello,
I have updated WordPress to 4.5 and I have the 2.3.4 version of Newsmag theme.
But now these functions dont works:
1. Visual Composer dont load in my page editor.
2. The site dont displays the arrow to up the page.
3. The post count views in admin area dont works more.
Please, I need your help urgently.

Please disregard. I can’t figure out how to take this post down, but the problem was fixed after discovering the theme wasn’t updated. I’m using the current version of the theme and everything is working well again.

I have two issues
1) It seems I can not save theme panel changes (I just updated wordpress 4.5 not sure that is the problem
2) The page editor has visual editor but no editing content to edit (please see picture)

I’m having an odd problem. In the Newsmag theme panel, I can’t seem to save any changes I make to the theme. Just for an example, under “Header” I tried to change the logo used in my sticky menu from the header logo to mobile logo. Clicked “Save Settings”, and then the ‘loading’ animation that pops up to indicate that it’s saving just spins and spins and spins. If I let it, it’ll spin forever until I refresh the page, at which point none of my changes have been saved.
So how do I go about fixing this? It’s been a while since I’ve made any theme changes so I can’t really say how long this has been happening. No idea if the recent WordPress update triggered this or if maybe it was something else.

I wanted to find out if it was possible to import an entire mobile menu from another theme into Newsmag?
Will this affect the rest of theme quite a lot i.e. break it?
If not, a suggestion for the next update could definitely be to make the mobile menu more animated. At the moment, when you click it, it just pushes the content and loads. Perhaps it would be nice if there was an animation as it opened as more of a slide effect.
Just a thought.
Some things are not working right.
The home is changed, and when I walk into a class and I’m changing pages is showing the same posts.
Example:
http://www.goretemoura.com/estudos/
It is the same as:
http://www.goretemoura.com/estudos/page/2/
And so on, all categories are presenting this failure.
Remembering that I’ve done the update “js_composer”, and yet continued to show this bug.
Tried to edit the homepage….but the Visual Composer wouldn’t work. So I did what the instructions were on how to update it…..but I can’t update through WordPress. Its to big and has to be FTPed. Problem is….I think I screwed up and deleted all files when I probably shouldn’t have. Now I am unsure as to what the name of the plugin folder should be to upload it via FTP. Please let me know what the name of the folder should be so I can get the updated plugin uploaded via FTP and I can fix the site.

I fixed mine, it required a Newspaper update and a WP Bakery plugin update that is included with the download of the Newspaper update. It was a bit of a convoluted process, because the plugin was too big to be uploaded from within my WP Dashboard and I had to FTP it. And, normally I wouldn’t download the Newspaper update because I use Envato Toolkit to update the theme from within the site. The Envato Toolkit update did not update WP Bakery.
Same problem here. I updated to WP 4.5 and the Visual Composer stopped working. Looks like I need to update WP Bakery, BUT:
I use the Envato Toolkit so my client can update the Newspaper theme from within WordPress dashboard. The instructions for the Visual Composer update only pertain to when you manually download the latest version of the Newspaper theme. Is there a more automatic way to do this? I want my client to be able to do routine WordPress updates herself, but not if the site is going to stop working until she goes through a convoluted process related to Newspaper and Visual Composer.

Yes were having the same problem after WP the update. Though we thought it maybe a problem with the licensing server?
1) Masonry grid is now working – must have been temporary bug. Relief!
2) I should not have to add a sidebar to every new post – it should be controlled by the Theme Panel Per category settings (as previously worked), so that every post in a category gets its category sidebar. That is one of the main benefits of the template and using a category > it creates the proper layout for the post… something changed since theme update, but I did not change anything.
The sidebar is also not showing on the new main category page –

The Newspaper 6 theme is marketed as an SEO optimized theme and was a good half of the reason if not more for the purchase.
Not trying to troll but this is a topic of high importance and since you mention there is no eta on the update, would it be possible to sticky this post? and/or possibly create a list of SEO optimization issues that need addressing?
I can try and hardcode the changes but the issues for the home page seem a bit extensive for me and am hoping these modifications can be completed quickly, at least in part since I’m indexing for all my pages/posts but not my home page 🙁

4)Please notice that the retina logo is only for devices that have this option, for example, Apple devices. The retina logo is used to offers you a high quality for your mobile devices while the logo mobile is a normal logo which is used for normal devices that do not have retina logo integrated. The way in localhost to update The WordPress Version is;

2- Uninstall the Visual Composer and delete it.
3- Update the WordPress Version to 4.5

Simple !! just chose the name of the fonts you want to use and paste as in header.php
