Hi,
That is because you have a Switching Plans page – https://presse-augsburg.de/tds-switching-plans-wizard/. Please check if the tagDiv plugin is being used. If it is, go to Subscriptions > Pages and see if there are any pages listed.
If you do not need the theme, remove it from the field and save the changes. After that, go to Pages and remove the page itself.
Finally, make sure to update Google Search Console (GSC) to indicate that the respective link no longer exists and has been removed.
Hi Cailin.
a) Yes, Rev Slider is fully updated (6.7.40)
b) Yes, RS is at the beginning of the page. We tried to delete it and the layout is OK (posts are in the right place, obviously): we also tried to replace the previous RS layout with a new one, but the issue persists
c) we choose to delete the RS for now, the general layout was terrible
d) Yes, we disabled the tagDiv Mobile theme

Hi,
You can set the same block to display all of your CPTs. However, the limitation is that you cannot choose which CPT module to display directly from the block. Because of this, the results are based only on filters and sorting options.
The block does offer the possibility to manually set the IDs of the CPTs you want to display. The downside of this approach is that it must be updated manually every time you add or change an article. You can see an example here: https://i.imgur.com/lC0HYOi.png
An alternative solution would be to use a row layout:
Create a row and set it to 2 columns.
In the first column, add a Big Grid Flex 1 element and configure it to display only one result, adjusted to your needs.
In the second column, if you need multiple columns, add an inner row and set the number of inner columns as required.
You can add multiple inner rows within the same column if needed.
In each inner row, add the same Big Grid Flex 1 element and adjust its settings to display the desired CPT.
This setup provides more flexibility and allows you to control exactly what content is displayed in each area.
Thank you!
Hi,
Our product is sold exclusively through ThemeForest:
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
To download the theme, you must have access to the ThemeForest account that was used to purchase it. Once logged in, you can find the theme in the Downloads section of that account.
For detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to update the theme, please refer to our official guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If you follow these steps, you should be able to access and update the theme without any issues.
Thank you for the update.
Since this is a live production website with active traffic and ads, changing PHP versions on the live environment is not safe at the moment.
I appreciate you notifying your developers to review the related code. Please let me know if they identify anything on their side or if there is a safe, non-invasive way to further verify this issue without impacting the live site.
Hi riminisparita, did you update the Revolution slider? It appears that the content is going over the Revolution Slider. Can you check how the Revolution Slider is set at the beginning of the homepage? Is it set using the Revolution Slider element from tagDiv Composer?
Also, on mobile, do you want to use the desktop version? If so, please disable the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin because on your mobile version, right now, it is displaying a different layout and without images.
Hi,
Yes, you can make the update directly to 12.7.4, but before this, make sure that you have a full backup for your website. After that, check under Newspaper > plugins the plugins you have currently activated and make sure that after the theme update, those are updated and activated.
I did not update from version 12.7.1 to 12.7.3. Can I just update from 12.7.1 to 12.7.4 or will that cause problems? I cannot find a download for 12.7.3. Please tell me where I can download that if I need it as I do not see it on ThemeForest.
Good afternoon. I have Newspaper12 12.6.9. After updating to version 12.7.4, it says “License inactive on domain.” The admin panel says Registered.
Hi,
The theme can be gotten from the Themeforest account https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/, just make sure that you have a complete backup before making any changes.
Hi riminisparita,
Unfortunately, the image is no longer available: https://prnt.sc/91koce8oxK_0
Hi Foto Zumstein, normally, after a theme update, the theme plugins are automatically updated as well provided nothing is interfering with the process. During the update, the old plugin versions are disabled and deleted before the new versions are installed. This is necessary because if outdated plugin versions remain active, enabling the site can cause errors, as the plugins may not be compatible with the current theme version.
If something interferes with the theme update process, you will need to manually install the required theme plugins.
Hello TagDiv Support Team,
I am reporting a confirmed fatal PHP error related to the td-composer plugin on a licensed and fully updated Newspaper theme installation.
Below are the verified technical details:
**Theme & Plugin Details**
* Newspaper Theme Version: **12.7.4 (REGISTERED / Licensed)**
* TagDiv Composer Version: **5.4.3**
* WordPress Version: **6.8.3**
* PHP Version: **8.2.30**
**Hosting Environment**
* Hosting – Shared Hosting
* Server-level staging environment: Not available
* Issue occurs on live traffic
—
### Confirmed Fatal Error (Server-Validated)
The hosting provider has verified repeated fatal PHP crashes with the following error:
`
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string
File: wp-content/plugins/td-composer/includes/tdc_check_domain.php
Line: 149
`
This error has occurred multiple times on **January 18, 2026**, during live requests, and causes:
* Immediate PHP execution termination
* Frontend request hangs
* Admin-side timeouts
* Cron/background task failures
The hosting provider has confirmed that this is an **application-level fatal error**, not a database or server resource issue.
—
### Important Context
* The theme is **original, licensed, and up to date**
* The update to the latest version completed successfully
* The issue **persists after the update**
* The error appears to be triggered during **domain / license validation logic**, where a WP_Error object is not being handled safely under PHP 8.2
—
### Request
I kindly request your assistance with:
1. **Confirming whether this is a known issue** with the current td-composer version under PHP 8.2.
2. **Providing an official fix or patch**, or confirming if this will be addressed in an upcoming update.
If a permanent fix requires time, I would appreciate it if you could **advise a safe, update-compatible temporary mitigation**, strictly intended to prevent fatal execution crashes until an official resolution is released.
Please note that I am specifically looking for a solution that:
* Does not modify core plugin files permanently
* Does not affect license validity
* Remains fully compatible with future updates
—
Thank you for your support. I look forward to your guidance on resolving this issue safely.
Kind regards,
Team Caas India
Hi Calin.
It seems that It really was just activating the Plugin “tagDiv Standard Pack”.
But why do you disable it during updates? It does not make sense to me?
But thank you very much for your help.
Hi, same here… but we updated all the plugins. We have an urgent issue with the posts over the rev slider (please see the picture).
Hi,
It appears that not all the plugins used previously were installed after the theme update. Please go to Newspaper > Plugins and install and activate the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin, as this is the one causing the error on your articles. After that, please clear all caches.
Each time you update the theme, make sure to also update all the theme-related plugins you are using. It’s a good practice to check which plugins were active before the theme update and ensure they are updated as well. If needed, you can update them manually one by one from Newspaper > Plugins.
Thank you!
Hello TagDiv Support Team,
I am building a multilingual news website using the Newspaper theme with Polylang for language management. My site requires support for three languages: Arabic (RTL), French (LTR), English (LTR)
I have created a child theme and need guidance on the best practices for implementing proper RTL/LTR support to ensure the theme layout adapts correctly for each text direction.
Specific questions:
How can i have a header & a footer for each type ? when i update anything it updated for all the website ? and for single post template or category template i cannot change the direction for only rtl languages, how can i achieve that ?
Current Setup:
Newspaper Theme (latest version)
Polylang plugin (for language management)
Child theme active
Languages configured: Arabic (RTL), French (LTR), English (LTR)
Goal:
A seamless experience where the theme automatically adapts its layout and design when users switch between Arabic (RTL) and French/English (LTR), while maintaining the same visual design across all languages.
Any documentation, code snippets, or best practices you can share would be greatly appreciated. If there are specific hooks, filters, or CSS classes I should be aware of, please let me know.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,
Hi,
It is extremely annoying that so many times we had a huge mess after Theme updates.
Right now I can not open any post anymore.

This happened right after your update without any other configuration.
I dont know what to do right now and would need your help to fix this. It is urgent.
I checked on different settings and theme panel and so on but could find any solution.
Many thanks
Hello,
I recently purchased my **third Newspaper license**, and I’m facing an issue that I’ve never encountered before.
I installed the **Gossip demo**, then added my own articles and categories.
However, when I update the categories in the **Filter** section, it doesn’t work correctly — it displays **“No posts”**, even though there are posts assigned to that category.
Please find screenshot (https://ibb.co/fVKY8JL7) showing the issue.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Kind regards,
Samir
Hello on http://www.trailrun.be I run version 12.7.4 and updated the php to 8.2
When I try to save a row , the saiving…… message deeps being displayed and I cannot save
Solution ?
Hi,
That is a very old theme version. However, even after updating the theme, the website should look the same. Before making any changes, please ensure you have a full backup.
After updating the theme, it is important to install the Standard Pack plugin: https://i.imgur.com/8heENe0.png This plugin, introduced in Newspaper 10, contains all the old blocks and templates, which are now separated from the main theme. You can find more details in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-update-standard-pack-or-tagdiv-cloud-templates/
Please also make sure to clear the cache, optimized resources, and Cloudflare cache (if you are using Cloudflare) after updating the theme.
If you are using a child theme, we recommend deactivating it after the update, as it may cause compatibility issues.
Additionally, if you prefer, you can request custom work to update the theme to the latest version. One of our developers will handle the update and ensure everything remains unchanged. To proceed, please send a request to services@tagdiv.com
, and our colleagues will ask for temporary wp-admin access to review the site and assess the changes made. Based on this, they will provide a time and cost estimate for the update.
Let me know if you’d like a more casual or more technical version.
newomnitribune.com
Now the php is 7.4, when I changed to php 8.2, website display error, please see below
Since I updated to version 12.7.4 the Posts views are stuck on 0, not updating at all, does anyone else has this issue?
Hi,
The update includes an option to display the current category, but as far as I remember, it’s not exactly the option you’re looking for.
I’ll check this and let you know whether the solution mentioned above will still work. If it needs to be adjusted, I’ll do so and provide the updated solution here.
Thank you!
Thanks Calin! That worked. Do you know if this has been implemented in the latest update that just came out yesterday? 12.7.4
Hi, since I updated the theme and its plugins, the “Draw Attention Pro” plugin no longer works…it used to work. If I disable the “TagDiv Composer” plugin, it works again. How do I resolve this conflict?
The affected page is “https://www.falcri-is.com/elenco-dirigenti-sindacali/”
Can you help me? Thanks
