You can’t update the Visual Composer because is built in theme. We will update the VC in the following updates.

I think after the last update, this option didn’t work for me. (Theme customizer > Template Options > Upper or lower case title on slide posts).
I choose lower case option but nothing happens…

My pleasure to be helpful. I’m not showing up here as a pest, but I do check in just to make sure there isn’t a report of something gone terribly wrong before I update to new version. And, since I live for this stuff every day of the week, and have spent hundreds of hours dealing with WP issues, server issues and optimization this year — I often have two cents to share. 🙂
For the panel, I was actually impressed how you got all those options into the WP built-in panel system. I’ve had tons of issues with other “frameworks” where the framework won’t update, then then the panel breaks, and then the panel isn’t updated, then the panel doesn’t work, etc.
Based on your work so far I have a very high level of “trust” that you’ll do a custom panel the “right way” that won’t break things, or corrupt the DB, or require some arcane framework incompatible with the top 10 plugins.
BTW: we’re moving to a new dedicated server starting on the 20th (hardware being deployed now), so any IP blocks we have in place at the moment will be reset entirely, so if you can’t reach my site, you will be once the migration is completed fully. Retiring our 2008/9 server for more modern hardware.

How to update Visual Composer ?
Today, Composer is 3.7.2. In Newspaper theme 2.1.1, Composer is 3.6.8.
In admin, there is 1 Update Notification. But no plugin or theme seem to need an update. However, I think it’s Visual Composer.

Hi all,
I have updated to the latest V2.1 update but my Twitter social icon shows 0 followers which is wrong. If I go into widgets, delete my Twitter username then add it again it displays correct follower count (101) but a few hours later it appears at 0 again.
Any help would be appreciated.

Am careva probleme cu tema voastra, si anume cind incerc sa lucrez cu page builder… fac o pagina noua, trec la visual composer si cind adaug careva elemente in pagina ele nu se includ, iata un screen http://note.io/1d8rbxw
Daca apas butonul publish/ update pagina se incarca iar elementele adaugate dispar din composer.

not sure if you have a function to enable a “Featured” category on install (e.g., create a Featured category for posts); but since we already had a Featured category, we ended up with a second one, which I think happened once before. So, we ended up with Featured, Featured-2 slugs. Easy to delete, but I only noticed it post 2.1 update today when going to post something as “featured.” Not sure if it’s something I missed (possible, but not likely in this case) – or if your function doesn’t pre-check for an existing Featured category/slug before making one.
No biggie, just not sure where that second “Featured” came from, hence the note.

I’ve seen that a new version of theme has been released. How can I install the new version? I’ve already installed several plugins and made a few settings. Will these changes be lost when I update the theme?

I only want to update this in the theme;
*add translation for social counter text like: Like, Fans, Follow, Follows, etc
I’m worried that if i update all the files i will lose a lot of the backend stuff i have changed? Things like all the translations i have done already.
