I think that the problem is that you do not edit the right header.php file, please try the file on this path -> wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/header.php
Also it will be recommended to set the file in a child theme, in this way the changes will not be remove when you’ll update the theme.

You need to use an option for theme update from our guide -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
But I suggest first to tr the update on localhost or on sub-domain and only after that make the update on live website (p.s. do not forget, always make a full backup for your website)
“cannot find style.css file” usually this problem is when you do not install the correct theme file.

1. There are two possibilities that can provide this problem.
a. The thumb is not generate correctly, this can be fixed using our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
b. Is possible to be a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
2. The image is not appear because not all your posts and pages has set the featured image -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
Unfortunately there is no option to filter the results from search page, but it can be achieve using a function: How to Exclude Pages from WordPress Search Results.
I recommend to set the code in functions.php from child theme, in this way you’ll not lose the changes when you’ll make a theme update.

This whole theme seem to be garbage.
When I install the plug-ins, it breaks the entire website. It won’t update the plug-ins, because it just says “ajax error” when trying to do.
Now I CAN’T EVEN DELETE THE THEME FROM WORDPRESS. When I hit delete it says, “Deletion failed: The requested theme does not exist.”
…BUT IT *CLEARLY* f***ing exists, BECAUSE I CAN STILL ACTIVATE IT…. It’s looks like a dogs ass, because not of the required plug-ins work without destroying the website.
So, doesn’t work, can’t by updated, and can’t be deleted.
What a total POS I got for my money. Supreme rip off.

When I install Classic Editor it solves the problem for posts and pages, but I still can’t update Cloud templates.

It seems we are miscommunicating.
Ofcourse backup sets everything back. That is what I did.
HOWEVER I need to transfer from live to staging and there lies the problem with your theme….I need to overwrite the wp posts table with the content on live. As a result on staging your cloud library templates are overwritten because they are saved in the wp post table.
Everyone migrating from an old version or other theme and doing it with a staging where they transfer the wp post table will overwrite the cloudlibrary templates that were on staging already made (for example from Demo).
If I update wp posts table, cloud library templates are gone. And that is your problem.

Since I updated the latest update of newspaper, May 28 there has been considerable drop in traffic in the past 4 days. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to change or edit the single post templates.
In the Theme Panel under Post Settings I have tried to change the Default Post Template ( site wide ) – but the post pages don’t update to the changed template. I have tried changing options in the Post and Custom Post Types like date and author. Again after saving the changed settings, the changes are not appearing when I refresh the post web page.
Then if I try the individual post editing method, there are no Post and Custom Post Types options. I can change the template, but that just breaks the post web page.
Using the tagDiv editor works, but does that change apply to all posts now?

Please note that in our guide there are more ways to update the theme, the update option was add only in latest version of Newspaper v10, please try to update using FTP/cPanel, but first make a full backup to your website.

I’m having an activation problem of Newspaper theme. In the dashboard i dont have the option “activate theme” n the menu.
When i click in updates, it has a button saying activate theme, but when i click in it it says “You dont have permission…”
